This may well be the first recipe I ever actually make among the hundred of videos I’ve saved to a “food” playlist
you with your comment inspired me to make a food playlist
But did you do it
couldnt relate more damn just thought about naming a new playlist "food i will acutally make"
Why not just make it? Go to the grocery store, it only takes about an hour to get ingredients that’ll last months.

I love these baked oat slices, I eat them all of the time. The most underrated ingredient for them is canned prunes (pitted and chopped), especially in the chocolate versions. Mix them with some canned apples or apple sauce and it gives it a really nice rich flavour.
Stumbled across this one about a month ago. Ive made it every weekend since. Brilliant for me as a hard gainer as i can eat them cold at work. Bulky cold snacks is what i need. Thanks!!

I've been sending these to a friend at work who's on the small side but he's trying to put on some mass and he's just so tired of scarfing loads of meat. He's really loved your bulk series and has made the pasta and beans and the hambulker helper.

Finishing my third week of this and will be making again and again and again. So easy and so good. I dumped blueberries in right before pouring into the pan then put some on top before baking. Also dropped the pb topping because I'm lazy and just use syrup every morning.
Do you heat yours up at all before eating?
Yes 1:30 @@HeyKeithHere

Did you up the cinnamon for the website or reduce it for UA-cam? It says 3 g of cinnamon on there. Either way, making this one next. Love the idea for the drizzle. I've also recently made the cherry one using frozen plums instead and skipping the chocolate. It turned out great.
Babe wake up new baked oatmeal recipe just dropped
You’re fuckin awesome ! Just starting meal prepping today first time. Imm doing your hot honey pork meals snd the dijon chicken pasta salad. Thanks so much bro ! This one i will do next thursday but will do half because i’m doing weight loss. Really appreciate these video. Peace ✌️💪🏻
I prep food a different way. I make a dish (such as beans) and I divide this particular dish into small glass containers, each for a meal. so my refigirator consists of many small glass containers of different dishes. I just pick one and eat it by rice or apsta (macaroni). I like preparing my own dishes at home because it makes me feel more energetic. restaurants serve foods that consists of very high amount of oil.
Recently started weight loss journey and been going to gym consistently for a couple months now. Spoke to dietician and was told I need to be eating 3400 calories to lose weight and found it hard to find healthy meals to use to fill calories. Thank you for this vid.
That’s amazing . My deficit is around 2100 . 😢
I want more high calorie meals yeww!
more please
In the sea of requests for more recipes, I shall add my own. Can we see some big boy recipes that don’t involve whey/milk for those that are allergic?
Hey man, these recipes help so much I am very grateful. A couple more high calorie chicken or Turkey based meals would be amazing.
Thanks so much man
Dang, this is nice.
Does it taste eggy? I like the idea of this but the mixture looked quite runnier than I'd thought with an oat based slice thing.
Do you think this would be a good recipe to freeze? Thinking of making a large batch and freezing to bring for "lunch" at work.
love the high kcal once
Oooo I missed the legendary baked oatmeal
It’s been a minute
Great edit ❤
Costco now has Kirkland brand rolled oats; even more value, and cheaper!
Looks great but I've got a banana allergy (weird I know), anything you'd recommend to substitute?
Class
Made this recipe.. I have to throw out my baking tray but that was tasty :)
Great video, except it’s cutting season for me, so I guess I’m making ten servings!!
Let’s go!
Honestly a great idea, I made the recipe and it's kinda like eating a oat brick...
How do you eat so much in the morning? I can barely do toast or a bowl of cereal. I really wish I could do a large meal and feel sated in the morning.

Love your stuff, Josh. Is there a reason you need to use two bowls for the wet/dry? Surely it can't matter if you use one, right?
It’s just to make sure it gets mixed more evenly. You can do one
What I personally do is first mix all the wet ingredients (if you have harder ingredients like banana I just use an immersion blender so it gets very smooth and saves me some time instead of doing it with the fork) and after that just put in the whey, oatflour etc. I think the most important thing to do is to make sure you have NO clumps in your baking powder/baking soda, make sure to spread it evenly on the surface. If it does have clumps then sift it.
Turns out nice everytime and I have one less dish to wash :)
what would you recommend in place of peanut butter (allergy) for the drizzle? awesome video Josh! Going to make it this week.
this is very much a use what you want / use what you have situation. it'd probably be fine to put anything from raspberry jam to chocolate on there, or even just leave the drizzle out.
Cream cheese is nice
Try raw tehina (not the watered-down one), you can mix date syrup or honey into it instead of maple because maple is just overhyped golden syrup. Different macros but it's just a drizzle.
Loved making your baked oatmeal, but moved out of home and now dont have an oven 🤬🤬🤬.
Also seems like this would have a lot of sugar, I'm trying to reduce that because I eat WAY to much of it.
Could you make one with more fat and less sugar?
Bulking Baked Oatmeal? Clutch - thanks man
Yumy❤
thank u
I made this one a couple days ago, its pretty good, but also kinda bland, I ended up reducing the total volume of the bake and incorporating some of the peanut butter into the mix to enhance the flavor without going too heavy on the calories.
i normally skip the oven part and just mix everything in the blender and drink it
So do you warm this up in the morning or just eat it cold?
Cool
is there an alternative to the protein scoops?
What would you suggest to sub for bananas
Mr. Josh, when I cook any of these oat bakes I always have a white/lighter layer at the bottom, almost as if the ingredients settled and the protein powder or something is at the bottom. It's not really a big deal but yours always look much better incorporated. I mix the ingredients pretty well; is there anything else I should do?
Hmm. I am not sure what would cause that. It has never happened to me before and I don’t think I’m doing anything special in the preparation, I just mix the ingredients together.
I'm kinda getting sick of my bulking pb and oats shake every morning, so this could be a good way to shake things up.
I see what you did there
Can you use almond milk to substitute?
Hey Josh, my meal came out looking pretty dense and compacted compared to yours. Any ideas why this is?
Sometimes I hate my peanut and wallnut allergies... Damn this would be a banger
Then just don’t use them lol it’ll still taste good
replace walnuts with almonds if possible🤑
I wish this would fit into my macros lmao, people struggling to put on weight to me is like a myth 😭
Wouldn't baking the protein powder for such a long time break the proteins down?
how many days will it last in the fridge?
Can i use honey instead of maple syrup?
Is there something like a recovery meal prep meal ?
Hey i cant have dairy, any idea how i can substitute them
I can't eat nuts, are there any substitutes i can use for similar results?
Meal prepping at 10:00pm... what!? You know the Dolphins don't come on until 8:00pm tonight, grrr, I hate waiting all day. So what to do? I guess restock my snack city drawer. FinsUp!
Anything to sub for the bananas? I’m allergic to them
I replaced a cup of whole milk which is 150 calories with a cup of heavy cream which is 800 calories. Added some chia and flax seeds, a few scoops of unflavored creatine, and PB powder. In the morning I get a tablespoon of Manuka honey to put on top and it’s a wrap. We will see how many pounds I gain over the next 30 days
How’s it taste? Good enough for a picky eater who hates oatmeal?
My muscles got bigger just watching this
"These will last five days in the fridge." Not in my house, they wouldn't.
I don't have a digital scale. How many ML is 1 cup?
is this high in sugar
Is there anything I can modify to reduce the fat?
I cooked for an hour and 20 minutes an the bittom was still gooey. ???
Hey man, can I substitute the maple syrup for honey?
Yes
Here's a question you haven't had yet - Can I substitute the whey for casein?
You could but you may need a bit more milk
1000 calorie midnight snack is crazy lmao
I didn’t use protein powder. It wasn’t very flavoursome but I don’t it is meant to be the best treat ever..
