    I’m a young student and just started strength training. Needed to figure out a meal prep situation instead of ordering out so much. I also struggle eating a lot of calories. I rarely cook for myself I’m just learning to do so. I followed this recipe and it was amazing! Super easy to follow along and didn’t take too long to make. Literally taste like a chipotle bowl. Super tasty! So happy I found this because it’s giving me confidence to cook for myself more. Thank you!

      Random comment I know, but if you haven't yet, you should try out Hello Fresh for like 2 months or so. I didn't know how to cook jack diddly until maybe even 29 or so until I took hellofresh for a few months and now I have everyone dying to eat my food. Most importantly, it has made me love my own bodybuilding so SOOOOOOO much more, because now all the food I make, from chicken to beef, steaks, CnR, Burritos, Pizzas, Burgers and everything in between, EVERYTHING tastes fucking awesome.

    A tip if you can afford to spend a little more money to save time: You can get grilled adobo chicken from Qdoba’s catering menu for like $14, it comes with a bit over 2lbs of chicken. I do it because I’m super busy and protein is what takes the most time for me to prep. I’ve also bought rotisserie chicken from Cotsco and shredded it. I save money by cooking everything else so it evens out.

    To the marinade to take it to the next level add MSG for a deep flavour. And backing soda as this prevents the muscle fibres in the chicken from contracting, making the chicken very tender.

      Just out of curiosity, did you end up tweaking the calories and experimenting with it? I've still got another 3 weeks of cutting before my calories increase, and I was curious how your idea turned out.

    • @Leap623
      @Leap623 Рік тому +2

      @@digitalphoenix72 Not who you asked but using the counts from his website, if you cut the potatoes, cheese and sour cream, one of the cans of beans, and naturally the oil you cook the potatoes in, you can cut the total calories to around roughly 3700 while still keeping a lot of the key flavors. You can then split that 6 ways for ~620 calories per serving based off my very rough math. You can reduce the amount of rice if you still need less calories, every cup you omit should take ~34 calories off each of those six servings. I kinda went for an in-between by cutting the potatoes and splitting it into 6, and I think it's still very tasty and filling.

    I accidentally discovered protein ice cream recently and I wanted to share this to see if you could make a video to spread the word.
    I was making a protein shake with bananas, almond milk (I use it for the lower calories mainly), and casein protein powder. I always freeze my bananas in sliced rounds to keep them for longer and I accidentally added a few too many, which turned my shake into a more ice cream consistency. It's honestly a great dessert and a good way to get some protein in. I don't know if you could freeze and meal prep it, but it's so easy to make fresh I don't think it's necessary. Maybe this really isn't up your alley, but you should give it a shot. Obviously there's also a lot of room for variations in flavors and recipes for it (though I don't know if whey would work)
