I cooked this for my son last week and this is the best baked pasta I have ever eaten. I followed the instructions and recipe just reduced the spinach and added carrots. One can diced tomatoes had Basilikum and the other oregano flavor. I'm not on a weight diet or muscle gain but this recipe will def. cooked once a month. It's really tasty. Thank you for the recipe

I made it again! This time I took half of a head of green cabbage and minced it into almost rice like quality, that way when I added the sauce it looked like it was cottage cheese, and then layered it with cottage cheese. I'm absolutely stoked for it when it comes out of the oven!
Thank you a thousand times over for the awesome meal prep ideas!

@@pubcollize Yes, this is true. But increasing the glutamine content makes it even more savoury, this is pretty well established. That is why I always add parmesan, but I also add msg to the tomato sauce. You can try it easily for yourself, make a tomato sauce, split them in two, and add MSG to one and just try tasting the difference. If you taste no difference, add a bit more. If it starts numbing your tongue then you added too much.

@@JeremyHansPatrick I didn't say adding msg to cooked-down tomatoes with parmesan doesn't add glutamates...

Running all my ingredients through myfitnesspal this comes out far closer to 4000kcal total than 5000kcal. I don't think I missed anything out/messed up and actually went higher on some things like 450g pasta and 1kg of beef...still good for making 4 1000kcal meals tho I guess?

I’ve watched a ton of meal prep videos and most show one meal for all seven or five days and for me personally surely that gets pretty boring eating the same meal each day. Am I missing something?
