For someone who hates doing anything in a game that isn't raw gameplay, he sure likes to pick up games that have a lot of talking in them and then immediately drop them because they have a lot of talking in them.

Exactly, but its an even bigger problem with Cyberpunk, a lot of people just dont understand that 80% of the reasons why you're supposed to play this game is for the story, side quests, characters and things like the world and its lore and atmosphere. Yes the 2.0 added a really fun police system and way better builds and combat, car handling etc. but this isnt some futuristic GTA like many people thought it was, its the opposite actually. Comparing this game with GTA is like complaining that in Witcher 3 or Skyrim its way less realistic when you get chased by guards or run NPCs with your horse than in RDR1.

I actually think it will be a fun to watch asmon play cyberpunk. and I dont think he will have a hard time understanding the game since is simple....but then again is Asmong who we are talking about so who knows.
I'm pretty sure he will enjoy the game. You get good loot from killing everyone and it's a straight forward plot. There are some missions that take too long to get going but he survived FF16 so this should be ok.

Part of me is happy that asmong is trying out new games, But I still cannot believe that it's almost 2024 and asmon hasn't played the Witcher 3 yet...

Witcher 3 is still one of the greatest narrative-driven games in existence. The problem is that Asmon doesn't enjoy narrative-driven games. He's a pure gameplay enjoyer so I don't think he'll like those games.
Same for Cyberpunk. When he realize that most of the game is about story, NPC interaction, dialogue, he'll probably drop the game.
I think more sandbox-style RPGs will appeal more to Asmon (Bathesda-style games), but honestly it seems that Souls-like RPGs are the games he likes most.

After the devastating launch on consoles back in the days I ignored the game. But with Phantom Liberty coming soon, I thought I might give it a try and boy, I was having such a blast with this game. Just two days till Phantom Liberty, can‘t wait. Such a great game 👌

Just started it on my Steam Deck. Never thought I’d see the day where we can play bangers like this and Elden Ring on the go.
It's great isn't it? Imagine what the next Steam Deck will do, hopefully lock Cyberpunk at 60fps, or at least in less crowded areas.
But how long does the go last while playing these bangers?
its runs rough on steam deck I would not recommend it after the new 2.0 update came out you need to play it on a decent pc or next gen console

I started playing CP2077 again yesterday, I stopped my car in the middle of the road to talk to Jack before doing the maelstrom bit while he's sitting on his bike. A police car comes and honks its horn, I decide to oblige and move the car, as soon as I get in the car the cop car rams me off the edge of the bridge while shooting me up. Funny as hell.
I liked seeing the cops absolutely flip the F out and start laying fire... into a completely baren corner of a building. No enemies around at all. Just them VS a wall. The cops were screaming for backup and everything. Then they got into their car, rammed the wall, then drove off in a mad fury. If the cop's goal was to intimidate me with how insane they are... it kinda worked.

I think he actually had one on screen once. It just a list of games. Doesn't mean he'll play any of them unless it's currently relevant. He won't play this if he doesn't start within the next week or two. It'll just be another "yea I'm def gonna play this" things.

I genuinely enjoyed cyberpunk when it first launched but haven’t really touched it sense I beat it. This got me VERY excited to revisit it
They've done a lot to change it up, balance it out and make it more fun. They even added something I always wanted in the game: deflecting bullets with swords. I'm honestly loving it right now~
I played it for 20 minutes, got a game breaking bug and uninstalled saying "i'll play it when they fix it". Well, here we are!
i liked the main story but everything else i didnt like, especially the combat system. so dumb its level based, if only it was more like GTA or something
However good the main quest was, it wasn't worth doing again with another character/build. I think i saved it and did a couple of the alternative endings.

Ive been playing video games since 5 years old. About 15 years since then and i can genuinely recommend cyberpunk. I bought it earlier this year when i returned from the airforce and didnt touch it cuz theres no 3rd person.
Just last week i gave it a shot again and its my 4th replay. This is genuinely one if not the best rpg game to date. If they had a 3rd person itd be 11/10 but i hold this game to high regards. Absolutely love this game. And how each walkthrough will be played completely different.

Im one of the people that played the game on release on PC and encountered very few bugs, most if not all of them merely visual. I'm a big fan of CDPR and the witcher games so I was quite hyped for CP2077 but I think it exceeded my expectations. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree but it is definitely in my top 5 games of all time. I love the story, the characters, the combat mechanics and Night City is just amazing, just driving around at night in rain and listening to the radio, it has so much atmosphere. I spend ton of time there already (like 3 playthroughs) and can't wait for more with Phantom Liberty
I did got the game at release too, have similar feelings, the city looks incredible. The cars/weapons looks awesome, not many game did achiev this.
I couldn't afford a gaming pc in 2020 so I played the game in 2022 and it was SPOTLESS, I have strong memories with this game, it was beautiful.
same, if not for social media I would never have known about the bugs. But there was definitely evidence of cut content and half polished release with the perk trees, items and interactivity
I played the game on release too on PC, multiple quests broken and game-breaking crashes. I don't count all the T-posing and visual stuff. PS4 players couldn't play at all, there's no excuse.
They worked on the game and it had its good bits all along, glad it's in a better state now so more people can enjoy.
I had a worst PC before and didn't have any bugs, but now on the 2nd play through with a Starforge PC I see bugs...
Hell yeah, I'm excited for asmongold he's finally going to be pleased with this one, patch 2.0 is absolutely fucking incredible !

Asmon, keep in mind CP2077 is a story-first type of game...so as long as your aware that you're going to be encountering the thing known as words, then you should potentially have fun with the game, since the other stuff is the shooting, hacking, explody stuff etc.
Ah right, and don't forget to visit Jig Jig Street.

Make sure if you’re gonna buy it to, buy it on computer or if you prefer Xbox series S/X or PS5. Xbox one and PS4 has no longer been getting updates after the 1.6 update.
if you waited for a cop system or a reworked perk tree to feel like the game is finished, then you most definitely not gonna like the game mate. CP77 core value has nothing to with all this useless crap xD they only try to get the worthless attention of mindless pricks like you with these "updates"
The best part is probably the fact, that even V can't beat the MaxTac squad. You get 5 Stars, you die.

Well, I didn't delete Cyberpunk 2077 from my steam library to this day, I knew CD PR gonna polish it till it shines. I think its time to replay the game now.

God, I still imagine the world where this game was not pushed to be released on that state, but waited long and long enough. Like, after Edgerunner anime released kind of long wait.
Edit. Imagine this game just did what BG3 did. BG3 had long early access phase of the game. They even supported Mac natively while doing that.

4 weeks late reply. Is the Doom Slayer build pretty much 20 in Body, Reflexes, and Technical Ability? Then, probably, minimum 9 in Intelligence and Cool just for the Renaissance Punk perk in Technical Ability?
That is the setup for a David Martinez build, Rebecca build, and any tank/gun/melee build focus on no stealth.
Personally I can't believe anyone hasn't played it, so far, cyberpunk 2077 is probably my favorite game of all time, and I've played sense launch, next to mass effect and Fallout New Vegas.

is the ai improved now though is the question, and is the harder difficulties actually hard or still a fuck fest.
nah the gunplay was very clunky at launch, though i believe they cleaned it up, also made the melee combat better with the new abilities in the skill tree

It was pretty average. Really was just bare bones FPS style combat that’s been around for a decade. I personally wouldn’t consider that amazing. But they’ve definitely made it even better with the new update, I’ll give CDPR that. The amazing part of Cyberpunk to me is just the story and setting. But maybe if you haven’t played a lot of shooters, I could see how this might be amazing. I’ve just been playing FPS games for almost two decades. So maybe I’m just more harsh when it comes to gameplay or gunplay.

while I'm sticking to cool throwing knives and hatches handguns and if I get my reflexes high enough a sandy with kerenzekov and some nice melee options
I'm more of a stealth build while he has insane health Regen shotgun damage and berserk
