Fighting Police in older patches was such a disapointing experience, even MaxTac the so called "unkillable", just behind Adam Smasher, can be easily killed by a few melee hits or gun taps.
This is what happens with an RPG gameplay, you just get so strong that it's impossible to have them competent lore-wise if they aren't made to get stronger as you get stronger too. I guess what could be made is that they already have a locked level and that would be a few levels away from your max level to make them still strong.

Given that they've patched it for 2 years and have fixed a ton of not just bugs, but gameplay issues - they've done exactly what you can do in that scenario.
All of this should've been a singular hotfix and not a HUGE patch. Imagine "fixing" the game by delivering 30% of what was promised at launch 3 years later and calling it 2.0

Took them 3 years to get like 25% of the problems up to mediocre performance. Man diversity hiring and lower college standards have really taken a toll on today's industries

@@iHateGenZweebs Oh, I've played it but I'm subbed to another mmo right now and next I'm thinking of Dragon's Dogma that's been sitting in my steam library for about 6 months now.
Ignore this video, it's genuinely fine to play now, and the redid all the skill trees, progression, cyberware, car driving, and added proper cop chases and the ability to shoot from a car. It's a LOT better now, and besides a few bugs (I've had a lighting glitch when tabbing out of map, and bins fly all over the place sometimes), I've barely experienced anything really problematic. 1 crash in 21 hours as well.
Superficial bugs like this didn't really bother me. It was the difficulty curve that was the problem.. Story is best being linear like fallout 4 with no changes to prologue choices since it's all the same outcome. With bugs fixed it's best a 7 or 8/10 experience.
@mooncrow2447 Yeah I would consider myself a reasonable fan of this IP and it's at best 8/10, but lowest like 6/10 IMO. That's not a bad game in general though.
@piersyfy4148 yeah, cyberpunk for what it is, is a pretty nice game. Nowhere near best game ever though as some people wanna say. (I'd personally give that title to BG3, if they ever fix act 3)
Should be added that the experience overall from release to 2.0 is just better feeling. You can breakdown everything you want to dissect, but it just feels better now. It felt static and fairly boring when not in a main quest at release, now the world (mostly) feels like a world.
I'm playing now and don't have many bugs. Like sometimes a character won't be standing right or sitting on nothing, but that's about it. It's like 10000x smoother than it used to be. I can tell they heavily invested in optimization.
I played it on launch on an old ass setup. I encountered 2 bugs in the entire game. 1 very minor(floating cigarette) and 1 kind of game breaking(unplayable gig).

It's not about primitive exaggeration or marketing talk, it's the intentional abuse of the previously gained trust from TW3 in regards to the management department of CDPR. The saddest part of the release of cyberpunk wasn't how cold the lies were, but how people considered the technical flaws the only major issue with the title, fully ignoring all context behind the game's premise and disgusting marketing if having seen it beforehand. Let's just keep in mind that not much of actual gameplay changes were shown off here, it's kind of just scratching the surface of 2.0 And not only because precisely not much of ACTUAL gameplay was shown off in this singular video, but there is also quite a lot more changes of that kind.

These are all really nice....... I must stress, however that the problem wasn't really this type of thing. Yeah, the bugs got a lot of coverage, yes they sometimes crash the game and yes it's a major complaint but it's not the true problem with the game: there's not enough content and questlines are unfinished. They promised gang-relations and random consequences. If you say, attack Pacifica and the Haitians don't like you they'll start sending squad cars to find you. They insinuated we would be able to take territory from these gangs and it's just Judy's quest instead. They implied fixers would get radiant missions and they implied your actions would matter by the end of the game but it's still two flavors of the same shitty icecream Mass Effect 3 gave us a decade ago.
@@stopitdad69 lol Yeah I get two choices, then among those two choices there's two variations of three choices. Sounds neat but it's extremely inflexible. These ARE NOT good enough, you can't tell me I have to side with one organization (except for the secret ending) and then tell me my choices mattered. You want to know what specifically I have a problem with? The writers fapping to their suuuuper clever representation of Alt Cunningham. She chastizes you over, whichever option you pick while the devs make the self-satisfied "ok" meme from Emperor's New Groove. While these guys are loving the BS nihilist narrative, I'm sitting over here being annoyed there's not the incredibly obvious "live with Johnny" option that shits all over that narrative. Simply having the option to call Alt a bytch and tell her to stop the chip while leaving us alone absolutely ruins the narrative so they couldn't do it but the narrative doesn't matter so much when we're supposed to create the fucking thing. Here's another example, the mission where you have to spy on a private security firm that's spying on a client and when you track them down you're led to a dead end and utterly fail the mission because the devs seem to think the world moves without you. It's a neat idea but it's simply incorrect, I live in the same world and you can't escape that. You can't beat the story so fast the chip barely affects you, you can't procrastinate so long that it just offs you then and there like dude, Majora's Mask is far to old for people to be unable to do this stuff right.

Unfortunately, the rest of the game is not on par with the DLC. Many of the problems of the main game are fixed in phantom liberty Dlc but not the rest of the game. It's not because of a lack of trying but because Dog Town, the location where phantom liberty Dlc takes place entirely, was created ground up. The rest of the game which takes place in Night City, well, its problems are far more deep and complex in the massive sprawling night city that can't be solved unless the whole thing is remade ground up. Unfortunately CDPR's amazing dev energy came too late.
Can't believe people think the story was so great as RDR2. Which CDPR LIED about there being choices in the story when it's linear fps all along. They got one more game to change my mind if they learned anything.
@@mooncrow2447 i've never seen anyone say the story in cyberpunk was better than rdr2. Cyberpunk story is short, but still good. The setting is great, but feels empty sometimes. In my opinion if the game would come out at least 90% complete back in the day. This game would be game of the year for sure
Played it on release, I legit thought it was a great game. did all side content as well, didnt just blitz the story. A lot of these problems you dont really notice unless your looking for it, the only really annoying one on release to me was the cops and their bullshit. But play it asmon, its a good story line and I had a lot of good moments playing this game and seeing all the endings. Its a good time.
Yeah CDPR have never been great with reactivity but amazing with set dressing; was the same with TW3 (a lot of folks don't seem to remember that release shitshow either lol) Largest problem was stifled development through-and-through; modders enabling vehicle combat located in the code is evident enough of that. The bugs sucked but systems poofing into thin air was the biggest issue; content advertised in marketing and presentations suddenly no longer existing.
@@merlylvsm iv always told people that CDPR first problem with cyberpunk was how early they announced it. Their first trailer for the game was released back in Jan 2013. To the masses, that means the game is being worked on from that point. When in reality the majority of the team didn't even look at Cyberpunk till "blood and wine" xpac released back in mid 2016. So the majority of the team wasn't looking or working on the game till halfway through 2016, and if you take into account the team going on holiday for finishing up development on the final expansion of witcher 3 then they didn't earnestly start till late 2016.... So their biggest problem was advertising way too early giving the illusion the game had been worked on for 7 years, when it was more like 3 years and a few months. It's why there was so much buggy content or imo just cut systems missing from the game. The dev cycle of this game is super interesting to look into and I wish I could get a first hand account of just how rushed things must have been. But yea, even after I finished the game multiple times, I thought it was good. But it was obvious the game needed another year or two in the oven to finish cooking. But the people and more importantly the investors would never allow for that. The hype train was going too strong. To ask for a delay of that proportion would have never been allowed. And now, 3 years after release we can see a lot of stuff has been fixed or is in much better shape than before.
There are thousands of hours of videos showing bugs and issues coming up during the launch of this game, and while it worked for some people with minimal issues, that was not the norm. For CDPR to try and say "it wasn't that bad, it was just cool to hate the game at launch" 2 months ago tells me they aren't to be trusted in the future either, precisely because of the aforementioned videos/reviews. If it was cool to hate on the game, it was because it was bad. This isn't even to mention the systems they mentioned would be in the game that were absent. If they're willing to lie only a couple years after launch to try and make themselves out to be the victims, I can only imagine the BS they'll try to sell us for Witcher 4 or 2078: The Monetary Reckoning.
@@redbeardsteelskin6723yeah but if someone do the exact kind of video on rdr or bethesda games people will give it a pass cause “haha funny bugs” or “good ol bethesda” The devs were right, people love to hate on cyberpunk cause it’s cool to hate the game.

I've been playing 2.0 for about 20 hours now. Haven't ran into any of the bugs that were shown present in 2.0. It's something you have to be really looking for. The game really does play completely different now, and the enemy AI has improved considerably. There's even better reactivity from gangs now, and doing sidejobs and things of that nature can get wild if the police get involved. The itemization, economy, etc everything is just plain better. Feels like an almost completely different game.
Yet my game randomly crashes, did a fresh install, no mods updated everything and still the game randomly 'flatlines'. While the update itself is great at least their original launch didnt randomly crash.
Crazy how this 2.0 "fixed" game still doesn't even meet the minimum requirements to be compared to any open-world city game like GTA. It's nice to see they've fixed a lot of stuff, but there's some really egregious examples an unfinished game in there, like cops losing aggro because you walk into a store.
@@Omar_Al_Seddik What about the game isn't "truly fixed"? Not a single thing in that video mattered or made any difference to the game, what else is there?

Jokes aside the game is great now, you can still find some bugs occasionaly but nothing gamebreaking from my experience. The gameplay is really fun, the story is amazing, you can kinda do what you want in terms of how you want to approach missions. The few things I dislike are hard carried by the modding community that is actually insane, from fixing the driving (it felt off a bit in the base game) to flying cars they do anything. Replayability also isnt too bad. Just unfortunate that it didnt release like this, it really wasnt ready at the time. and was a disaster tbh. The main game is definitely worth the money, the dlc I cant speak for yet. You also need a decent pc to run it but then again it looks good.
I agree that its not like bg3 or something where you get different outcomes (well the ending you can get different ones depending on your choices) but that doesnt make the story any worse, those are different things. I think the game has decent replayability tbh and missions dont always play out the same way depending on what you do@@mooncrow2447

This also perfectly reflects why the game is now for some reason perceived as not only good itself, but standing up to its initial disappointment. Let's just keep in mind that not much of actual gameplay changes were shown off here, it's kind of just scratching the surface of 2.0
And not only because precisely not much of ACTUAL gameplay was shown off in this singular video, but there is also quite a lot more changes of that kind.
1:20 No , after some time and 5 stars you get filled as cyberpsycho and as such maxtac will arrive on place to handle the threat. If you kill this first squad , 2 more will come and after that 4 if i do not mistake.
That's what pisses off people when they come back to the game. A dlc is nice but those mechanics are still undelivered.
Bingo, even if they got rid of all of the bugs (which they didn't) this game still has a lot of cut content and mechanics thanks to it being rushed
Your actions do affect the final quest though. There are many possibilities for the ending, including what you see during the end credits.
Agreed. Without any bugs it's still a mediocre rpg.

Yeah CDPR have never been great with reactivity but amazing with set dressing; was the same with TW3 (a lot of folks don't seem to remember that release shitshow either lol)
Largest problem was stifled development through-and-through; modders enabling vehicle combat located in the code is evident enough of that.
If they're willing to lie only a couple years after launch to try and make themselves out to be the victims, I can only imagine the BS they'll try to sell us for Witcher 4 or 2078: The Monetary Reckoning.

me: heard that before
Why would anyone want him to play it I don't get. He's just gonna skip everything and call the story boring
Great to see the game is finally out of beta and now in 1.0! Still, the stuff from 2.0 definitely should've been at launch.
Great to see everyone is overusing the same unfunny joke! It’s the same Bethesda fanboys that meat ride Starfield for having the same issues that cyberpunk did when it released.
@@nalcig both are dogshit
@@nalcig wtf you talking about starfield didn't have the same issues 2077 had on release it was busted af and tons of missing features in most cases 2077 was unplayable in some areas
Give the marketing team again their credit for making us believe it's finished game 😅
@@dizzygoblin230 Starfield is the most empty, uninspired, shitty written and empty game. Todd does a great job lying to the public and still getting them to buy his shitty game 😂
Man I should employ that strat irl. "Well, guess I'm going back home."
So this game is slowly catching up to GTA4
You do realize gta5 is REALLY buggy, but its just that people never complained about it and saw the bugs as a part of the game.
@@critical_6164 you do realize I said gta4
@@barsaf9989 they’re equally buggy, doesn’t change anything.
@@critical_6164 woooooooww. Even so, this shit game has noting on gta4 or 5. Do people still even play it?
@@barsaf9989 has like 50k on average daily, you really cant talk shit about a game you’ve only seen through videos showing cherrypicked bugs. Like more than 50% of the bugs in this video i’ve never encountered and i’ve got 340 hours in this game, the rest are so small that it doesn’t make a single difference in the game.
If you’re gonna hate on a game, then actually have some backbone behind your words from experience.
Been enjoying myself quite a bit. Scratches that gta itch that hasn’t been scratched in 10 years
Whaaat? They fixed the game in 3 years? No waaaay!
All i wanted was a third person view for when your walking around....
GTV5 is still more polished than Cyberpunk on patch 2.0
You gotta keep in mind Rockstar has made a bunch of GTA / modern day open world games before GTA 5, the game has also been out for a decade. Cyberpunk was CDPR's first ever non Witcher game and it's been out for 3.5 years + the company is a lot smaller.
@@Zigeuninja that's such a heavy ass cope, damn.
@@Menace0 None of what I said is false lol
It's called 2077 cuz that's when it will be finished
