I would also suggest putting a little fluid in after draining the shock to wash the inside out. Then add your final fluid.

Hi Steve, any reason the oil has to be pumped in with Mityvac instead of just removing the nut and pouring it in ?

Pouring the oil in would take forever. Using the Vac pump pulls the oil in much faster
