Yogi that was awesome. I really liked the voice over and the explanation of what you were doing. To me was a very professional done video.
When on the lift with the shocks off that is the best time to check swing arm bearings. With no shocks the side to side play can be felt much easier. Anyway another sign is if you have one shock bolted up and need to move the bike more than a wiggle to get the other bolt started your swing arm bearings may need attention.
For those not in the know Progressive offers for many models different options, and price points. Besides Chrome or Black...The bigger difference is springs for larger riders like me. They are not all the same. Progressive is good about customer service. Many bikes there is one option and that is it.

And Yes, I put progressives on my Fatboy also and love them. I got the Heavy Duty shocks because I am well, a little heavy duty myself, and they are definitely hands down great shocks. Agreed with this being the time to check swing arm bearings, good call
@@YogisCycleService They are a very good shock. My Dad and I run them on his Dyna and on my Shovelhead, I am looking at Ohlins for the Vrod and I will pay dearly for that name. about 4 digits in that little square on the check...

@@YogisCycleService Thats a big ol nope on the nope train... The difference is the adjustablilty and rebuildabilty. Its more than just set the spring preload.

Last night I installed Drag Specialities 13" adjustable shocks (standard motorcycle shocks). The box says they are made in Taiwan. Today I did a short 5 mile test ride, I think I'm going to really like these shocks. Better ride than the OEM air shocks.
I have a question sir . I'm a big man 6'4 "290 pounds my wife is 145 pounds my tour pack loaded is around 60 pounds . Combining all the weight I just mentioned we are close to 500 pounds . Is the progressive shock designed for our combined weight. We ride the

The shocks I put on were for greater then 250 lbs. Honestly my circumstances are about equal to yours give or take and I have been happy with them just make sure you get the “heavy duty” shocks because they sell both and I went with the heavy duty for 2 up and loaded packs.
