      @@TechnMoto I just saw this video and commented. What pressure do you set your rear shocks to? I have a '95 Electra Glide Classic and from what I can interpret from the manual, mine should be at 3.5 PSI. That's what I have been running and seems fine, but not so sure. I run the front forks at 15-17 PSI. Thanks!

      you don't need to determine anything, the job is simple, hydraulic oil is cheap... do it every couple or three years, that way your ride is always "prime"... do the brake fluid too...

      @@CoroElToro Usually I get folks asking for advice with no idea and sometimes can make things worst for themselves. Sorry for assuming. I have never rebuilt these and Harley does not sell a rebuild kit nor parts for these. But that's not to say they can't be rebuilt. Hopefully some one here can guide you to the correct info you seek. Personally if mine ever let go I'll replace them with better shocks lol. good luck

      Use what you like. I used 10wt cause I like how that makes the shock firmer but not too firm. Seriously check your service manual if your not sure what to use for your model

    50 psi is kinda high, ain't it. You don't run them with that much air in them.....

    • @TechnMoto
      @TechnMoto  3 роки тому +2

      Who’s doing the work here? Lol no that’s not too high to get the oil out. These shocks can handle that with no problems. Of course you would run them at no more than 20 on the bike. If your not comfortable with that use less air pressure.

    If you have the shock absorber off the motorcycle, you don't need any of these special tools to change the hydraulic oil on the rear absorbers. Put them upside down, make sure they can't move, use a long (six feet or more depending on your strength), 2 by 6 board, immobilize the front of the board (and the shock absorber) and pump all the oil out of the shock. When you're done, use a syringe and introduce the required volume of hydraulic oil back into the shock (very slowly), wrap some Teflon tape around the airline bolt, on top of the shock... Bob's you uncle
