I'm literally having this problem right now. Took my 16 street glide back to the dealer, and they said it's fixed. Woke up this morning, and it's back down to 15 psi, so I guess I'll have to fix it myself. Hopefully it's something this simple and not blown shocks.

also in case of leak in rear shocks you can use jack oil red one works perfect against leaking shocks.and also is good to know that there is no repair kit that you can buy at the dealer to restore the rear shocks, but those were made by showa they also made the same shocks for honda goldwing and for honda shocks you are able to buy renovating kit. but not harley. same showa shocks.😂

As bad as the old air shocks were and i had them on my 2002 FLHTC the new ones are a bigger pain in the rear to adjust. I have a 2018 FLHTK and a 2019 FLHT removing the bag on the left side is a pain.

I think my air shocks were leaking but I didn't care, I hated the ride these shocks provided and I replaced them with Progressive 944's.
HD should have done that a long time ago.
The ride now is like the difference between night and day.

While we're in the subject of air shocks. I wanted to change the oil in the shocks since I have 27000 miles. But wanted to take some of the harshness out. What is a better fluid to put in these shocks. It is a 2015 ultra limited. Or, I have the option of free 2016 street glide premium ride shocks to try. Your opinion?

Lift motorcycle. Get a tube tire stem core removal tool. Insert in air valve receiver. Remove core, clean and re install. I’m thinking the valve has gotten dirty and is stuck. You could remove the shock to work on but keep it upright. Thanks ~ Doc

Doc,I have a leak in the air ride system on my 1998 Road King Classic. I tried the soapy water, but it won't hold air long enough to check it.I found oil on my shock piston, so I put new shocks on today. I tried it again after installing the new shocks and still have the same issue.Pump air in with proper pump and it bleeds off immediately. I also put new cores in the Schrader valves. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Love your content too. Thanks

    • @LowCountryHarleyDavidson

2003 FLHRSEI2 CVO Road King, riding mixed city/country roads, riding mostly 2 up, me 220 & wife 150, we are older, we set the pressure around 13 to 15. We set it at 18 with tour pack on & fully loaded down for a road trip. NO IDEA WHERE DOC CAME UP WITH 40 PSI??? Maybe newer bikes use higher PSI. 40 PSI on our bike would be like an old rigid!
