Most famous for Initial D main car, AE86 has been a part of some famous games over the years. With perfect weight balance its mostly used for drifting, although you can see in the video that there has been some pretty good race variations. Fun fact that older NFS games use the USDM Corolla GT-S instead of the Sprinter Trueno.
They used a lot of usdm japanese cars in general like the 240 instead of the 180
@@zeckor. They even used the USDM version of the Subaru WRX in Underground 2 which has the larger engine and the unequal length header that creates the iconic rumble.
lets just appriciate all the work this guy does to do research of all those old console games which have AE86, find all of them and make them run on all kind of emulators

Hell, just driving them on Horizon 4 and 5 is already a big deal, both games considering this a "RARE" car which is hard to get, and that costs like, at least 3 to 5 MILLION at the Auction House.
@@rodsk8dude731 yeah also didnt metion that that car might be really rare in some of these games so he also might have spent time to find 100% save game for those games or spend hours playing them to unlock it

Gran Turismo Sport also has chime starting at around 11:30, its harder to hear though.
GTS and 7 probably have the best recreation of the 4AGE's sound, at least from all the cars that I've heard in person that run the engine.

I only just got this as a recommended. Pretty spot on for most of the games. There was a game on PS2/3 i cant remember called Road Rage 3 that had the AE86. If you want to put in the list :D
Loved NFS Shift, from turning a normal road car into a full on Race car was satisfying for me

The AE86 was also in Forza Horizon 5 but this video was released before the release of FH5 so just letting you all know :) You can relive some Tofu delivery in Mexico

The only drawback in this well-documented video is the lack of proper 4:3 aspect ratio on the game that originally run on that aspect ratio.
@Erick PhoenixFYI Resolution is not aspect ratio. You can use 8K with 4:3 screen ratio.
Playing 4:3 content (square-like screen) into 16:9 screen (typical tv/laptop shape) make everything wide.
Perfect circle tire will rendered as wide oval tire.
The proper 4:3 to 16:9 screen will have square screen in center and 2 black bar in left and right.

Its cool to notice that NFSU2, Carbon and Pro Street have the more realistic engine sound before Forza 3
11:12. I've always asked myself this question. Why do the rear tail lights in forza look different to the real ones. I know some AE86's comes with differents lights, but i never seen or heard about those.

I don't think it's as big of a deal as I am about to make it but your title is technically wrong, the Corolla was either the SR-5/GT-s American model, or the Corolla Levin, the Trueno eight-six is the Sprinter.

The Gran Turismo 4 clip has a Levin instead of a Trueno. That's an AE85, not an AE86. They do have the same exactoutside looks, but their performance is different.
Some are sprinter trueno..
My fav is probably AC and GT7, they both did it quite well
In term of physics yes, but for the models, AC sucks. It got wrong details and wrong proportional.
