I will post pictures on Twitter if you want to use them: twitter.com/AutomotiveVP I would like to thank everyone for being patient; 80+ hours of work has gone into this with countless crashes and lost hours of work. The original video was around 1 hour and 20 minutes long; I had to shorten it down, haha. It was very stressful and fun at the same time. I feel like I've proven my point a lot; some will no doubt disagree. But I hope you enjoy. :) Truthful feedback is welcome; don't beat around the bush, say it how it is, what I could improve on, and do better, etc. Videos can be requested, and I will try to make them for you.

I've played all the Forza games, and this is the worst! They removed tracks with the excuse that they were redone from scratch, and instead only to insert them every month, to encourage gamepass renewals. But for those like me who paid for the premium edition, it was a scam! Thanks for your work, and greetings from Italy!🙏
Yeah, I also paid for the premium. I was so pissed off, but my excitement for the game got me through for a few days. Then it started to dawn on me, and I realized how bad it was. Thank you for the comment mate. From the UK 👋

The fictional chalk drawings on the track in Forza is what really sends me. They’re one of the most iconic parts of the Nordschleife and they just slapped some half-assed, meaningless, inoffensive terms like “HELLO” and “CURVE” on random bits of the circuit as if the people driving aren’t aware that there are curves on the fucking Nordschleife and they need the chalk to remind them. It’s like recreating the Arc de Triomph and then writing “LIVE LAUGH LOVE” on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Had they used Google Earth+Street to make the paintings and maybe use AI to artifically increase resolution, it would already look better, though unethical as it may be. They didn't even do that.
A small detail that I like… in GT7 20:55 if you look at the wiper, and put it into 0.25 speed to make it clearer, you can see how the wiper slows down before changing direction, then speeds up. In Forza 21:39 it just changes direction instantly.
Ti dico che a 120km/h con quella pioggia e la velocità del tergicristallo così lento non vedresti nemmeno a 50 cm di distanza...... Questo Forza è solo una copia scarsa di GT.
What's also crazy to me is the differences in audio between the two games at your timestamps. The sound of water slosh and rain hitting the car in GT vs no rain sound in FM, and FM also has that weird reverb on the engine sound as if you're not sitting inside a car????
and it's shame because at a programming level the interpolation used in GT7 is REALLY EASY to implement, it's just the lack of attention to detail or what kids nowadays like to say: skill issues
People claim this Forza was made by real motorsport fans, however one of the videos that came out recently of a track developer speaking about the struggles of development (not speaking negative about that, very unfortunate the case of the games development was rushed and poor) openly stated he didn’t know how to pronounce “Spa Francorchamps”… Another thing I noticed is on the 911 RSR, the TC engagement lights on the dash are acting as RPM lights like on the wheel. Complete lack of detail and understanding of the vehicle
@@whiteetk8000persona3isgood If Forza had been made by motorsport fans, it would be 1000x better than it really is. It was made by those who don't even know how to pronounce Spa Francorchamps
@@meninoserio3128 The key word there is _was._ Forza _was_ made by motorsport fans; it is currently made by creatively bankrupt MBAs who think that Milton Keynes is a "woke" economist.
Also gt7 never advertised their game as being "built from the ground up". When I head built from ground up I start to have an expectation of every single thing has been redone EVERYTHING!
I don’t even understand why Turn10 marketed the game like that like no one would check if the cars and tracks models were not from previous forza games. Just purely lying to your fans and destroying confidence
In fact it's even the exact opposite for GT7. They have been improving the same formula over and over again since GT1 as technology evolves, to keep getting closer to real-life driving each single new game. Each GT is built on all the experience acquired with the previous ones, that's how we get such wonderful cars and tracks. Polyphony Digital devs appear to actually love their job, there is no other way to put so much details in your work than being purely passionned. Turn 10 only want that sweet $$$ while spending as little as possible on actual development, and compensate by heavy advertising.
Exceptionally made, refreshing - worth the wait. Pure facts and you very well elaborated what's truly going on here in each point. Appreciate the mention!
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words and support and letting me use your clip, and I'm glad you found the content valuable. You did a great job explaining your points as well. I'm happy to work with you anytime in the future!
Forza also seemingly forgot to bother with spray from AI cars in front. Absolutely love that in GT even if it does reduce visibility as it should... Just another nice feature that makes it feel more immersive.
@@AutomotiveVP there was more spray & smoke from launch, haters cried, so it got downgraded This has always been the issue with most GT critics, in that they don't know what real realism is
It is all fun and great, until you go into the lobby and the rookies get their feet wet, and you start seeing some dumb crashes because "too much smoke, I couldn't see!" or "there was so much spray that I couldn't see anything!" and you are on the receiving end of that crash. So, it was a nice compromise, in my opinion. There is spray and smoke, you can clearly see them, but not as much as to let people bullshit you that they couldn't see you because of it.
straight up Forza fans are addicted to copium like its crack. after this FM dropped it was my sign to ditch console and forza for good. i wanted to defend the game soo bad but its completely un defendable and unless they actually build a new game without re using 99% of it FM will stay dead.
Not in denial, most people I play with are hella disappointed. I had every gt up to 6 and loved it. But switched to Xbox because horizon and motorsport 4 were so good. And of course now that I switch to Xbox, PlayStation starts releasing gas ⛽️. 😂😂 I’m hella butthurt, gt6 was better then this Forza lol.
as a long time Forza player I feel genuine pain seeing people defend this awful joke of a game that is the new Motorsport, and it's not just the visuals but also everything regarding gameplay
Everyone says I'm a Forza hater. I grew up on all Forzas and GT. How can I defend this BS? People don't get it. The real Forza fans, like me and you, understand this is not acceptable
Forza Player since Forza 1 on old Xbox...Fanboy af but since GT7 i switchd to ps5...Got both consoles and i can say, Forza 8 is the badest Racing Game ever
That's the issue. You've been playing Forza since earlier titles. You got standards and expectations, which is why you aren't the target audience, you don't matter to the devs,
The mods in the street is good & fun, but the VR experience is more like holographic and not very optimized. I think AM2 and PC3 take the win for PC VR. GT7 is just smooth and crisp imo. @@samueljones3668

@@samueljones3668 ACC in VR at night in the rain is insane and I can't wait till they finally introduce the Nordschleife this year. While AC with mods is really nice content wise and still holds up better than most sim games out there, ACC did get a huge upgrade in terms of handling and track surfaces.
I remember when I bought the first FM and raced on Nurburgring I was pissed that it felt too easy, that’s when I read the interview with turn-10 and they said they slightly widen the track to make it more casual friendly. This is when I dropped FM, plus look how they have the game holding your hands by having all that lighting around the track during night races, there’s no thrill in racing like that in the game.
Do the cars struggle or change their acceleration based on the elevation changes? Is braking significantly harder down these steep hills? Nope, Forza feels as flat and soulless as a cheap pancake. In real life, the course is a huge strain on the cars and on the drivers as well. Forza (and GT in this case) - just feel as if the track is flat internally and the rest is just a fancy illusion painted on top.
@@plektosgamingSeriously? I'll pass on FM then. I considered buying it because Forza, despite the criticism, but I think I'll just stick with Assetto Corsa, because that is actually exhausting to do more than a couple of laps in, with even a cheap wheel setup (I use the original GT Force lol). And it has high unforgiving kerbs, bumpy as hell carousel, etc.
Forza is a cash grab? what about the microtransactions of GT 7? these phuckers even artificially throttle the credit reward so that gamers spend money on microtransactions. you may not spend and suffer the grind, but others will spend. it's aimed at those who spend, hence it's a blatant cash grab and predatory as phuck.
Yeah the "cartoony colors issue" is a common fallacy they use and I've thought of, but it does look that green IRL sometimes, moreover comments like "20 ppl in the crowd in GT7 lol" prove they DON'T have a clue of what they are talking about.
With HDR on it is literally real life colors if ur tv is calibrated n high emd enough. With HDR on the difference is even bigger between the 2 n forza really catched a beating then
Lets be real, just look at any replay from forza and compare that to GT7. It's not even close when it comes to which one looks like IRL and forza can run on a PC, GT was never released on PC. Imagine if GT was actually released on PC oohhh boy those graphics would make forza look like it came out in the 90's 😂
@@Sideways_Singh Actually you're on the money, it's very easy to miss that everyone has different screens and screen settings, so what looks oversaturated to one person may look normal to another.

I freaking love how you took the GT6 Ending approach with the full lap! Man... People really do love to believe the big studios, once they throw out terms like "Laser scanned"... Again, been dabbling with 3d shit for 16 years for my own. NOTHING in Forza is laser scanned. The only "laser scanned" asset is probably just the Bugatti Veyron, they taped up on one of their promotional videos from way back when (either motorsport 2 or 4). But other than that, NOTHING is laser scanned. whoever is leading the newly formed Turn 10 is a master in false advertisement. Hands down. If their assets really were laser scanned in todays standart, the cars wouldnt be so off... Heck, If they actually would start laserscanning their assets, maybe they would have came through with their "Built from the ground up" promise. But they chose not to, because T10 has no legacy devs anymore, and they are all running on 18-6 contracts with people knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the industry and only sort of get the rough grasp near their end of the 18 months employment. EDIT: also, people seem to forget but... Kaz actually races himself in the 24 hour races IIRC. So the Nürb and racing in general is his baby.
Also another little attention to detail is Kaz + PD added the Schmitz turn to commemorate the late Sabine Schmitz. That’s some dedication to not only the track but to the person who master the nurburing
The cars would be so “off”? You realize the actual car models in forza are better than gt7 that’s been proven time and time again, plus if it wasn’t laser scanned in any kind of way that’s a lawsuit of false advertising, which hasn’t happened
@@yes_man212 the forza car models in fm8 were inferior compare to gt7 and even older forza games. GT7 car model had a lot of attention to detail into their car model
@@yes_man212 ah... here we go. Now. IF T10's shit would be laser scanned, why is it that... Enthusias S15 look more laser scanned, than the Forza 1 S15? Why is the NFS S15, the Juiced2 S15, heck, even 2001's "Real Car Simulator R" s15 looks more accurate than Forzas S15? Should I start how they constantly throw false brand names for the Kits on the R34, for kits that do not exist or are just plain wrong? Speaking of, on the same platform (well xbox in general, but Forza Motorsport 2 is the same as Motorsport 1), Import Tuner Challenge. Even their models are MUCH better than anything that forza did, apart from the gen 4 Eclipse. They both suck. And... I'm trying to grasp how... a model from game a is supposedly better than in game b, if it the model from game a doesn't even work properly with game a's graphics engine. Or how the fuck does the backfire on the Cadillac race car in the opening race of the game shine on the lower part of the diffusor, when the exhaust is on the rear part of the roof? Why the Mustang has no AA? The interior on the Civic race car looks like absolute ass? Some cages have hexagons and no round holes where they should have round holes in forzas models. And that has NOTHING to do with graphics settings. Its just that bad. Its bad because they do not have any legacy developers left. Laser Scanned, Built from the Ground up, 16 Times the graphical fidelity 3 Terms. 2 different studios, 1 Publisher. And its just nothing but buzzwords and a lie. False advertisement.
@@yes_man212 It was, quite LITERALLY pointed out on day 1 that many Forza car models are exactly the same from the 4th in the series with no changes to the car. Laser scanned my fucking ass.
GranTurismo births real racers. Ive never seen anyone who got on a real life track and said they first sim raced in forza to get accustomed to the track. Its mostly gt and other sims.
It's even more hilarious that Forza tried to do something like GT eSports but failed miserably, no one even knew it existed despite having a $250K prize pool
Agreed. Although I'll say Assetto Corsa helped me the best with my first track day but GT7 has a good tire model with slicks. When I switched from all seasons to Falken RT660s it felt like going from stock tires to race tires on GT. Forza can't even simulate an actual semi slick or slick tire behavior even with their alleged 8 point tire model.
@@FocusST305You can prepare as much as you want for the Ring and it'll still pull your pants down and embarass you in front of everybody. Save the argument mate, save your time. You are right. It's a remaster, because it was supposed to be something else and that is far as I can go without breaching an NDA. You can't make a great game with short term contract workers making up 90% of your staff.
This is something I noticed in GT5. Le Mans track (all versions) were so damn bumpy. Turns out ripping down going 250mph in a tuned car without proper race level aero is extremely hard to keep straight. They captured that insanity and just keeping straight let alone passing was a challenge.
Good suspension setup is key... You could be fast in the smoother back half of the circuit.. but you'd suffer on the straights and rougher parts of the track. But if you focused on that to much then you'd have to much roll or give up to much time in the smoother sections. It was a balancing act of fighting the right setup similar to the Nur. Have to pick and choose where to be fast.
@@Vert344 Yea and I was not good at suspension setup when I was younger. The fact that was something to consider in a racing game was like a whole new world to me (at the time).
Also, GT7 has real time weather systems that move and vary over time, including a weather radar map in real time which is incredible. Its not just a uniform switch, its all ran on real location barometric data, and many other factors to form it accurately.
I would love to talk to the GT team, but this world is too soft. No doubt, I would never get to speak to them, haha, due to the profanity in my videos. Thanks for the motivation and comment mate! Means the world.
It's very shameful that Forza just reskinned Nordschleife from the older games. I'm a very passionate Nordschleife player in Gran Turismo and I can tell you, after driving for about 10,000+ laps of GT Sport's Nordschleife, getting on GT7's Nordschleife was clearly quite different and I prefer GT7's track design more than Sport's. In GT Sport I was the fastest player on earth at the Nordschleife with tuned cars and it took a few months before I could say I mastered GT7's version to the extent I mastered Sport's.
The biggest giveaway for me that the track was not accurate, was the fact the dimensions of the track itself was wrong. There are elevations that aren't correct, some corners have been smooth out and are not sharp enough and in some places the track is just way to fuckin wide. Secondly, the foliage, sure it might "look better", but it's not accurate to what it looks like. I get why some people say it looks better with the thicker foliage literally everywhere, but when it comes down to it, copying the real life location of trees and bushes, you're putting in a lot more effort and time to make it match real life. And the fact that Playground games made this game and decide to use this much foliage, it was not to make the game look better, it was because they were lazy and didn't want to actually copy the actual tracks down to the smallest detail. Because if you make a gap in the treeline where you can see what's behind it, well now you have to render out whatever is behind those trees be it mountains, more trees or something else, so when you just put trees up to block everything behind the trees so you don't have to do that, you're actively choosing to be lazy. Hell Assetto Corsa is many years older then Forza Motorsport and it has a more realistic look and feel when it comes to the track
For me, GT will always have superior gameplay than FM, there is something satisfying about the handling of cars in GT that FM/FH never managed to even come close to.
Outstanding video. I just can't believe Forza's Nurburgring is recycled from previous Forza's. They add lighting to the track that's not there in real life. Gran Turismo is way more representative of the real life track, especially at night where the implementation of HDR is some of the best I have seen. It really looks scary when you're driving at night. Turn 10 really shot themselves in the foot with their "Built From The Ground Up" marketing bullshit and it has backfired. Considering GT 7 is a cross generational game, it's all the more impressive how much more realistic GT 7 looks.
Thank you, mate! Yeah, HDR on GT7 is next level. I play on the PlayStation Monitor, and it's mind-blowing how it looks. Sometimes, I question if we're already in a simulator, hahaha. Yeah, my frustration comes from the marketing. They dug themselves a grave with that, but most people don't even notice, so they just accept poor development. Forza devs, some of them were contractors. This is not a fact, but it's what I've heard, so you can tell. The fact that the track is recycled is nothing but a slap in the face to me, you, and the players.
I have an interesting (albeit, unprovable) theory: Sunlight looks different in different parts of the world. That’s a fact. And thus, everything the sun shines on looks different as well (trees, pavement, grass, etc). Every time I look at Forza’s Nurburgring in the daytime, it looks too….American? Like they took the lighting from Lime Rock or Midfield Ohio and applied it to the Nurburgring. I dunno, but ever since I theorized this, I can’t unsee it 😮
You're not wrong. I have mentioned this in other videos. Somewhere, I said it's like they have American lighting on European tracks. I mentioned about this track being in Europe when looking at the rain. Haha, I am the same as you.
@@AutomotiveVP mate i dunno which yter did this video, but he proved that fm8 has a single skybox that they change color for times of day. All tracks around the world have the same skybox. exactly. We could have Sony hide the watermark and you'd swear blind you were watching the Daytona 500 say. GT7 is insane how polished it is, Polyphony are sorcerers I reckon, it was spellcraft that made it so awesome 😋
I know, right? GT7/Polyphony, the developers, are in a league of their own. As the comment below mentions, sometimes, if it weren't for the watermark, you could easily be fooled into thinking it's real life. They have done an outstanding job here!
@@AutomotiveVP it's sorcery, no other reason xD. Polyphony's director had the team in a circle chanting and there it was, GT7. I kid, I kid but I mean the rain on your windshield; I live in Port Talbot in Wales, UK- that rain is exactly like we get here especially downpours with the buffeting winds. The sky looked like our sky here on that day eerily enough, and of course the car sounded perfect. Polyphony are just too good at their job
I Personally prefer Gran Turismo's graphic filters, they look very fresh and natural for me. Forza Motorsport looks too bright, even the sky looks washed out compared to GT.
I get fanboyism, and I am a strong advocate for PlayStation, but I feel like this is just a small piece of why I’ve always felt PlayStation has more passion for gaming. The IPs on the platform focus around the player and their overall experience. There are exceptions, sure, but I just don’t think it’s something that Xbox prioritizes.
As a FM player since the 3rd release and played most of the Horizon, GT is looking better and better. FM doesn't feel like they're giving you anything new and instead by adding more paywalls. SMH

Overall solid video bro. Next video if you're talking about the rain showcase how GT's spray is more realistic as well. Sure there may be times where it "could" look like Forza's but 9 out 10 the spray looks like a cloud of mist. Great job man keep up the content 10k subs will come this year for sure.
Always appreciate your comments, mate. Thank you for the advice/idea. I'm glad you liked this video; the pressure was on, haha. And yeah, I stopped watching Kireth's videos for that reason too. I really am, and you all make this so much fun. I truly appreciate every comment you give me. I wish the spay in GT7 effected the cockpit view more tho!
Near the end in the rain comparison (the Döttinger Hohe), you can even see how the water interacts with the joint lines in the asphalt in GT7. That's the level of detail that Polyphony is operating at. FM2023 recycling a track and expecting it to be acceptable is atrocious, and the fanboys who defend that are even worse.
Wow, that's a hell of a work! I'm really impressed and grateful for your effort to bring to us almost a dossier to proof that Turn 10 lied about the "Built from the ground up" thing. I'm really sad about the new FM...could be great...but is mediocre at best. Thank you and may God bless you and your family, cheers from Brazil!
Yeah, to be honest, it's sad for Forza too because I was hoping for a good game. I'm not in the stock market; I buy games, so I want them to deliver the best. 'Well, the most advanced racing game ever made' - I was so hyped and then so incredibly let down. The emotions from this game just dropped to frustration. They are so out of touch; it's unreal. Thanks for the kind words all the time. 'God blessed me already,' you just said. God is within you and me. I am you; you are me, we are one. Blessings back, from the UK.
As someone who is a great car enthusiast and plays Gran Turismo on PSP during childhood and then currently played Forza Horizon, I see that Forza Motorsport became the biggest insult to racing games, with their visual downgrade, reused old assets from 19 years ago, and false marketing, It really hurts me the most as they won the Racing Game of the Year 2023, as this is an UNDESERVING win for Turn 10, and I do not want to tolerate them anymore because they will keep screwing up and laughing at all of us. And I say that Sony believes us and Gran Turismo is the winner of everything.
I was literally just talking about your videos and updating the bio to add your channel, as I forgot to do so earlier. Thank you for the comment, mate. Your videos are spot on. My channel gets attacked non-stop. People tell me about Assetto Corsa and that GT7 is simcade; you understand, lol. I don't think people understand how good Gran Turismo is, and you make the best videos online to prove this. If this comes to PC, it will change all that, I believe, with the BS around Assetto Corsa, etc. Thanks for the comment mate! you also keep the video up!
@@AutomotiveVPI feel it comes down to the depth of adjustments that you can do on other titles like I-Racing and Assetto vs GT's more basic tuning setup premise. That and a super common misconception that people feel cars or racing cars should be HARD to drive and GT makes them to easy. When in reality a lot of racing cars, especially modern ones are a lot easier to drive than some sims give them credit for. People feel the harder a car is to drive the more "Realistic" it is when that couldn't be further from the truth. There are just a lot of minor things.... I've played GT my entire life since GT3... on a controller no less (No space in my room for a Sim setup). I'm 32 now and just tried I-Racing for the first time last year on a 25k Full on motion setup. All of my GT experience in how I expected the cars to react and handle transferred over despite the vast differences in titles and play styles.
Gran turismo may reuse assets but as stated by Kazunori Yamaguchi during gran turismo 5, these assets are extreme quality scans of the track and cars in the game, so if they need to get the same cars in the next gran turismo, the just need to lower the polygon count less compared to the previous game for the asset to work in the upcoming games, with a higher poly count than the previous game
Actually 7 and sport car models were entirely new design models from the ground up. You can see the car models in 7 (and sport) had insane amount of detail and it’s not from previous gt games. All of the car models took 7-9 months of developing
Old forza games makes sense for me to defend, but forza motorsport reboot is just a huge cashgrab with graphics that makes me think i'm playing on lowest settings. No wonder it's a reboot, cartoon reboots usually ruins everything, now it's even in the gaming industry!
Gran Turismo was ahead of it's time, specifically old titles, new titles i don't see too much from them, but the old titles, it impresses me that they could use the consoles to it's limit.
It's ridiculous. Even my real life car that's in the game doesn't do that, and I'm fully modded. In FM, driving it stock still shoots flames. It also sounds too loud and they fucked the design of the car up, as well as the colors.
@@AutomotiveVP rip man… sorry for your loss. For me the loss was with starfield lol paid 100 for it and it was just as big of a disappointment as forza
Imo the only thing Forza Motorsport has going for it is the car list, especially having the ability to race a wide variety of modern and recently released cars. Besides that, GT7 blows it out the water in every single way, especially the driving physics. Forza has always had the unrealistic tendency to make a lot of cars understeer. Also, their lighting model is weird in that light does not shine correctly on cars and off their paint jobs. It makes the cars look like plastic (go compare the Ferraris for example). Also great video btw!
People genuinely believe forza looks, handles and is a great simulator? Lmfao, people need to stop huffing glue. Stop arguing about which one is better by being a fanboy. Gt7 is just quite literally the better way to experience racing virtually.

Why does Microsoft rotate devs/contractors for an 18 month period with 6 months off to avoid having to pay out employee benefits to them, since that was a major contributing factor as to why development of the new Forza Motorsport suffered so much?
the current day benchmark is The Rfactor2 version of the Nords, it's the most recent scan that is in any title at the moment and the developers put a lot of care into creating it. This won't be for long though, as ACC is releasing the Nordschleife sometime this year, with a 2022-2023 scan of the circuit and an extreme eye for detail. the one and only Misha Charoudin got to test drive it at their studio and attested to it's accuracy. Forza doesnt have anything on the version in GT7, let alone iracing and Rfactor2. soon, there will be a new, actually from scratch benchmark to compare all other norsschleifes
As much as I hated GT7 for the MTX shenanigans at launch and the way they ruined Trail Mountain and Grand Valley Speedway in the later updates, I have to admit their model fidelity is unparalleled. I also believe GT Sport and GT7 are the only games where AI have the ability to yield fast lane on Nordschleife, and use their turn signals when doing so. Forza, on the other hand, is just flipping birds at players non-stop; I bet that's the same Nordschleife from Forza Motorsport 4.
One thing I wish that PD could fix, although I'm certain it's a hardware limitation so may not be doable, is when you have two cars close together at night, the rear car causes the front cars headlights to no longer be rendered, which makes driving in those situations dicey at best, and downright impossible on occasion Wrt those complaining about grass colour in GT7, I have a feeling they're people who have never been to northern Europe before, grass here really can be that intensely green and GT captures that very well imo It can be jarring if you're used to living in areas that are typically drier as grass will look more like it does in Forza in those regions, but in northern Europe it rains a lot and the temperature is very mild so grass is much more green
It shows the difference between japan being honest and dedicated with their followers And.... America just caring about money and not about their faithful followers
I never understood people who say "GT looks obersaturated" when they could just look out their window or actually go outside and touch grass to realize that nature is more green, than whatever health problems Forza's nature is having. Other than that, for Forza, if a game looks worse than its predecessor it looks worse than any game that came out after its predecessor, simple as that.
@@diarian nah even iRacing looks semi-realistic when compared to old real footage of races that happened under cloudy weather shot from a distance. Basically in low dynamic range situation. Since iRacing isn't washed out, it's desaturated imo

And ask them to judge and decide which one is more realistic even ask them which one is real and which one is a game. Guaranteed that GT7 will beat out Poopza
I’ve been a forza fan since forza horizon 2 and forza Motorsport 6. After seeing this particular video and everything about it, I now truly think that GT7 is the superior game, and by a lot. Forza devs have been making buggy games with copy pasted tracks and cars for too long to get away with it. I am soon getting a PlayStation 5 and I will absolutely play GT7 over forza Motorsport every day of the week. Amazing video by the way, cheers!
And I love how Forza 8 has those dumb ass flag posts from Forza horizon littered around the entire track on every track those flags are fucking stupid and not seen in any track. But turn ten has to throw in their own little spice into it to make it theirs lol
@@CrewExpendable2007 The flags don't affect gameplay though. sure the track not actually being updated to be more accurate is bad, but flags dont affect gameplay. the flood lights might actually improve the driving experience in multiplayer.

No matter what Forza do now they have lost me. I was looking forward towards FM8 for years (as were many) but the product they have given is is just unacceptable i will go as far as to say i am heartbroken by it and the fact that FM8 sucks hurts me so much. I will never go back the game now they destroyed it with the car progression crap and how things were locked behind a progression system. I never thought i would say it but I wish i had a PlayStation to play GT7.
When it's raining I see puddles in the grass in GT7, also puddles form in Forza Horizon 5. I expected FM to surpass FH5 but it seems not. Developer, "We would have built it from the ground up originally, we're just not saying when in the history of FM. Can we get away with that".
Even with all their mistakes, Playground Games did a better job with the Forza Horizon series than Turn 10 with Forza Motorsport, and Horizon is the Spinoff, which makes everything worse for Turn 10.
You're definitly right about Kireth! I once commented about his useless criticism on GT7 about the prices of the cars. The Mclaren F1 costs 20 million in GT7 and also in reallife. His reaction was but do i get the Mclaren in reallife? I said yes if you pay real money! But he is always a smart ass if you don't agree with him. 1 day its GT7 is better and the next day its Forza...

I'll give you a happy story. My brother has been a huge forza fan where I love the gt series. He convinced me to play forza 4 and I admit there we're many things I liked about it over gt4 like the damage, the telemetry, customization etc. Well because I bridged the gap, he decided to give gt7 a try, and both of us playing for the first time absolutely loved it. He's a huge rotory fan in rl and has an rx8 so naturally he had to get the 787b, while I jumped on the Nissan calsonic and both of us have mastered the Sardenia 15lap race for the 700k clean race exploit.
It looks like they forgot about the drawings until the very last minute and just decided to scribble some onto the textures.
Big yikes right there. Disrespecting the track even further, Forza is really the game with the worst Nordschleife.

In Forza 21:39 it just changes direction instantly.

because the servos are usually ON/OFF/ON... they don't slow down at full speed
I also noticed the RPM lights. How did they not notice that? Why would the driver need 3 separate RPM lights?

In fact it's even the exact opposite for GT7. They have been improving the same formula over and over again since GT1 as technology evolves, to keep getting closer to real-life driving each single new game. Each GT is built on all the experience acquired with the previous ones, that's how we get such wonderful cars and tracks.

Dude, you deserve an award for all the effort and dedication you put into your videos. Polyphone please hire this guy.
Gran Tourismo has always been 20 years ahead of everything else in terms of realistic graphics (on budget hardware) and in terms of free updates.
People seem to miss this: nothing is locked behind a paywall, and it's non-stop updates. It's the most polished car game on the market.
Driveclub looks better, it’s 10 years old.
The rain was good and the car models. It's not better then GT7 tho. @@CrewExpendable2007
@@CrewExpendable2007 I searched the game you mentioned. It looks photo-realistic even today.
The people defending Forza are the same people that divebomb you in the corners and claim it's your fault.
And then they proceed to call “fairies” everybody who point that out , that happened to me more than once
I have an interesting (albeit, unprovable) theory:
Sunlight looks different in different parts of the world.
The amount of cost cutting and detail cutting is insane when you know the fact that this game was in the oven for nearly 6 years. I truly think that they did not start to develop this game till 2020. They gobbled up some trash in 2 years and spouted it out to hit gamepass subs milestone
If only GT7 had adjustable FOV and a proper driver view without the in game steering wheel... It's such a good racing game!
Yeah, I'm not sure why there isn't more freedom with the camera settings, to be honest!
@@AutomotiveVPAgreed! I, for one, long for more freedom with the camera in replays. How else am I gonna properly capture the majesty of my ‘69 Camaro taking flight off a trackside berm at Willow Springs?

Yesterday after I watch this video I raced in Nordschleife in Automobilista 2 and AC, then I raced in Forza with the same car... Man, I'll stop playing Forza again, is just not real as it should be.
The immersion in Automobilista 2 is just amazing, you feel all the bumps in the track.
I'm sad because I can't buy a PS5 to play GT7 now, was really hoping Forza would be better.
I think your video was really good, don't have much feedback because I wouldn't change anything, great work 👍🏻
tf those photos were from GT7?
If I have no context whatsoever, I would probably think its real it looks so realistic

SMH
Intro, a really big improvement great production value. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who thinks Kireth is very clickbaity, can't really take his logic too serious anymore.
Kireth is afraid of xbots I guess.
@@KonTurboR Yeah maybe he knows ps fans can be more civilized. Great upload as well Kon, just saw your Nissan Z comparison.
Always appreciate your comments, mate. Thank you for the advice/idea. I'm glad you liked this video; the pressure was on, haha. And yeah, I stopped watching Kireth's videos for that reason too. I watched him way before I even made this channel. 10k subs would be amazing, but I would need to clickbait more, haha. You know, like Kireth. I'm happy I even got 10 subs, mate.
This is the beginning of the demise of Forza motorsport... the beginning of consumers not believing in this game made by Turn 10
Thank you, bro! Do you like the new style? It just takes way longer, haha.
Thanks for the shoutout! Great work comparing these! Keep it up!
And I was racing with real professional racers and was within a few tenths on my first time using a sim setup ever.
@@RatedShadowXrdcool I didn't know, I guess another reason why gt7 is better than Forza 8
Of course they do. They are in line with Bethesda and EA.
I love how you roast every replies in the screenshots and still put a calming music in the background. 🤣

Everytime i look at the flames exiting the exhaust in forza. 🤮😂
It's ridiculous. Even my real life car that's in the game doesn't do that, and I'm fully modded. In FM, driving it stock still shoots flames. It also sounds too loud and they fucked the design of the car up, as well as the colors.
I almost spent 100 bucks on Forza, pulled my preorder. It was the best decision I’ve ever made
Lucky for some ahah I paid it!
Ppl don’t realise the the Gran Turismo is 27 years old at this point and is still one of the best racing simulator in the racing category for those on play station so idk why Xbox fanboys argue about it

At 16:00 in this video look at the side the cars in Gran Turismo 7 are splashing up water spray the cars in Forza do not 😮😳😲
I drove on Nurburgring this summer and it's crazy that it looks AND FEELS in GT7 just like it did in real life.
Kireth is a known forza defense Cornball all of his post about forza are to make gt7 look like it's has a lesser racing experience when in reality it's the opposite forza has a fun factor but not a long game factor like gt7 does.
People never seem to realize forza is an arcade game and never claimed to be a real driving simulator so I don't even understand how they can be comparable. Gt is licensed by FIAA. I'd compare forza to grid maybe lol
A company who chase money can't win against Kazunori, the guy is passionate about making this game
What he did is not just a video game but a love letter
At the first turn, I always knew that kerb is small from other videos in real life and FM was just so damn tall
first time I found your channel, oh man 5:28 had me in stitches, love it, keep it up
You could just put the master licence S-10 footage here to show how drving in rain is scary compared to whatever forza/other games do to look flashy.
I'm going to use that in a breakdown video of the rain in both games. I also cut this video down from over an hour, haha, but I definitely should have showcased this more. Thanks for the advice
Can't wait for AC2 this summer, i think AC beats gt7 and forza in graphics (with mods ofc) and physics and it's an old game
One thing I wish that PD could fix, although I'm certain it's a hardware limitation so may not be doable, is when you have two cars close together at night, the rear car causes the front cars headlights to no longer be rendered, which makes driving in those situations dicey at best, and downright impossible on occasion
Wrt those complaining about grass colour in GT7, I have a feeling they're people who have never been to northern Europe before, grass here really can be that intensely green and GT captures that very well imo
It can be jarring if you're used to living in areas that are typically drier as grass will look more like it does in Forza in those regions, but in northern Europe it rains a lot and the temperature is very mild so grass is much more green
FM23 i was hypped for this until a saw the yellow evo trailer, that was something
It shows the difference between japan being honest and dedicated with their followers
And....
It depends on the season but GT is just too colourful for my liking.
it just looks like a game while forza looks more like iracing. lol
@@diarian nah even iRacing looks semi-realistic when compared to old real footage of races that happened under cloudy weather shot from a distance. Basically in low dynamic range situation. Since iRacing isn't washed out, it's desaturated imo

He's a clown, mate. I always hear him pricing the cars in real money too, like saying, 'You have to spend 20k in real money for this car.' I'm just like, 'Or play the game and don't use microtransactions. Full on melt bro haha
