The early DiRT and GRID games had the best crash and damage physics. Brutal and satisfying, but usually not too serious that it would majorly ruin your race. Unless you had a few good crashes, then you'd be in trouble.
i just started playing burnout 3 takedown after 15 years on emulator and after seeing all those dark theories on internet really cant play it the way i used to play when i was a kid ☠
@@mwmahi8919 Toyota get mad when the developers decided to reuse Hot Pursuit 2 damage physics on the first Underground game but they avoided that, that is why those Blackbox games doesn't feature vehicle damage.
Physics alone gotta give it to the Dirt and Grid games. Immersion is 100% the Shift games. The way the screen turns black and white, the whole thing shakes all over the place, and the sound of the driver panting, nothing ever topped that. To be honest damage models are something that I view as either all the way or no the way. If it's ain't all over the place and you don't see stuff in the level of Grid or Shift I'd rather have it turned off completely.
Burnout 3 without a doubt has the best crashes because of how stupid and fun they look and even more so when they explode with large vehicles or fall from very high places.
The games with unlicensed vehicles like Burnout, Flatout featured the best body damage and crash physics i ever see, sadly the same can't be applied to racing games with unlicensed cars due of the manufaturers rigit rules about body damage.
i really wish they made a new Burnout game like Burnout Paradise man, best crash physics and camera views in that one, also another game like Driver San Francisco or a sequel !
You should include Midnight Club 2 on the list, the bumpers can fall off from the cars and they can blow up, those elements was removed on Midnight Club 3 because they featured licensed vehicles.

Outta burnout or split second I’m so mad that need for speed took away pursuit breakers and the impound system that what made it more challenging knowing you had 1 more strike and they take your car and you gotta start over 🤦🏾♂️
@@AimanCool440 BeamNG have decent deformation physics but the crash visual effects are boring, doesn't have particles flying unlike in Burnout and NFS games.
Best Crash Physics?
Burnout Revenge

Change my mind.
For the time, Flatout 2 was very impressive, and even today it's still phenomenal.
Flatout 2, duh
@@AimanCool440 I'm sorry for you

same lol but it’s not my childhood game
which version, I grew up on the xbox 360 version
Grid, Dirt 2 and both NFS Shift games crashes are scary. I miss that
3:40 that was BRUTAL
Nah, that was Tuesday for Bugbear's standards
I would argue that the Motorstorm games should have been included in this vid
Driver San Francisco, NFS Shift + Shift 2 Unleashed, Dirt and Grid was the racing games with the best damage model on licensed cars.
even driver 1 and 2 had great for the time damage and even now its better than some games made today

Burnout and DiRT franchise, NFS ProStreet and MW2012 are the best for me.
I'm still wondering how tf did EA and Codemasters convinced all those manifacturers to let their cars be shown completely wrecked lmao
