Thank you, this was a tremendous help!! I own a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ 26gal tank. I used my motorcycle jack to gently lower the tank in order to reach the connections. I did not need to remove the EVAP canister though. The black fuel line quick connect tab broke, had to replace it with the Dorman 800-023 clip, everything else was Mopar. So thanks again!
I think that's what's wrong with my 06. I noticed fuel leaking there and watched several other videos. One guy thought it was his fuel pump but it was only the plastic clip broken. He put in a new clip and was good to go. I noticed some people remove the bed because they think it's easier than removing the tank. What do you think? Did you completely remove it or do think I can just lower it by loosening the tank strap bolts most of the way?

The red safety tab was completely missing. I broke the black tab on the connection from the pump. I broke the retaining grey clip going to the charcoal canister. And I broke the retaining clip on the vent closer to the fuel door. Does anytime have the part numbers for these?
I notice it specifies 26 gallon in the video title. I've looked up parts from different suppliers and see many conflictiing things about which part is for each tank size and some saying it's for all sizes. Just curious if there are specific pumps for specific capacities.
Great vid. Need advice guys. Hv an 04 and the retainer clip for the fuel pump line somehow came out. Truck died and fuel was blowing out of pump. Took bed bk to get in there and noticed retaining ring and flange ring around fuel pump orifice are both rusted to near non existence. Is there a replacement part of any type to replacement that flange ring or do I hv to spend 400+ for a new tank? Smh. How this hasnt been a recall item is beyond comprehension. Its a huge safety issue. Any help would be appreciated.

There is very little chance you will be able to successfully repair the broken connections (in spite of the videos on YT that promise an easy connection repair) and you will be living with a check engine light until hell freezes over.
Since a big portion of the parts you sell go to guys without lifts, it'd be informative to have a guy that knows what he's doing perform it without a lift.

I can’t disconnect anything on the top of the tank with the nuts at bottom thread and truck jacked up. Ahhh this is annoying to work on, it’s tight enough under this truck.

Man didn't you have it easy? How about where my fule pump ring is so rusted I had to get a replacement and the evap is so brittle and broke Mopar doesn't sell a replacement I had to go to a junk yard and buy another fuel tank. I guess I'm saying most people will have the troubles I'm having with mine. So you was lucky on this truck everything went smoothly for you.
Hello 1A Auto..... I just replaced my fuel pump with your PART #: 1AFPU00412. The truck is starting and running but now the fuel gauge is stuck at empty and im getting a P0463 error code for Fuel level sensor circuit 1 high. Ive talked to a few mechanics and theyre saying that its probably a bad pump or its not compatible with my 07 dodge ram v6 truck. Was wondering if you may be able to offer any advice??
I just changed the pump last week, this video is very straight forward and did exactly the same way....Took a couple hours by myself with a jack and a couple cinderblocks.
I just replace a new tank with pump on a 2004 dodge ram 1500 4.7 and when refilled new fuel gas the gas came back out of filler neck what could cause this/

That is exactly what I have. The rollover tank hoses broke off and when I smoke tested it, this was my issue too. Can’t believe I have to swap the entire tank to fix those 1” plastic pieces.
This doesn't help someone working from the ground you make it look simple. How did you see the connectors without taking anything else off? I'm gonna go look for a backyard mechanic

Your safety connectors and wire harness come off so easy. Sometimes I spend more time separating those than installing the part

Did it when i was 16 on my 05 ram. Took the bed off. Replacing the actual pump took about 2 minutes

Take the bed off. 4 or 5 bolts. Done it both ways. Prefer taking the bed off

This is the HARD way!!!! Raise the bed. 4 bolts and a jack.

This job is much easier by taking off the bed, And getting off the bed is only a 15 min job. You will need some friends to help pull it up and off.

it is part of the evap system it is not the filter the filter is part of the fuel pump assembly

What type of socket are you using for the two long bolts? We cant seem to find one long enough to get to the nut.
You can always use a crows foot, that's what I use if a deep socket isn't deep enough

That is a bad check valve in the filler neck. It is a recall item

Rollover tank assy, which is incorporated into the fuel tank, not independent from the assy. Break those connection and pay 1000 buck for a new tank.

Great video..but tank strap nuts are a 15mm not 16mm socket (at least on my 05)

I'm sorry but the very few first steps, absolutely not needed, undo the negative terminal, and have a pan for any fuel drips from the line.

If you run your truck to empty and it takes approximately 26 gallons to fill, you know which size you have. Easy.

You should always wear safety glasses in the shop
And get those horrible scotch locks off the rear harness connector and clean up your wiring. Professional mechanics dont do crap like that lol
