@@garya7893 I like live over studio for "The Song Remains the Same" but can't say the same about "The Rain Song". There’s life before Led Zeppelin and there’s living afterwards. There’s a reason they’re called classics, because these songs are timeless. From that lovely, almost whimsical guitar intro to that explosion of rock greatness Zeppelin always takes you on a auditory journey in the laps of luxury. PS. I know where this song took you, over the hills and far away.
Dominica said "every song by Led Zeppelin is like listen to a different band". Now you're starting to understand why they are the best band. Andre' said " they are legends" No Andre' they are "Rock Gods" Pink Floyd are legends and legends look up to God's.
The very first time they practiced together,, They were surprised,, But also realized they had that incredible once in a lifetime combination on their hands.
Again responded very nicely. I would recommend "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" from the first Led Zeppelin album. A ballad with extremely explosive moments and a 20-year-old Robert Plant in top vocal form.
I was 14 in 1970 when I first heard” Led Zeppelin 2” on a eight track tape player. I came up from Miami Florida to Hindsville Georgia was visiting my best friend. His father owned a tobacco farm, we were out in the woods in a cabin late at night and he asked me if I wanted to hear a really good band, I said sure. I was amazed at how clear and powerful they sounded. My best friend played it for me and we just kept hearing it over and over. Before I left to go back to Miami I bought his tape player and the 8 track tape of Led Zeppelin. It was all the money I had but I thought it was more than worth it. When I got home that 8 track tape was all I listened to for months. I still really enjoy hearing them to this day at 67 years old. Great reaction to this song, you two bring so much joy to rehearing this music. Keep up the great reactions and have a beautiful week and beyond. Steven
Every time a new Zeppelin album was released, I couldn't wait to buy it and have a listening party with friends. You didn't know what adventures awaited. They are the best. I love your enthusiasm for Led Zeppelin. I can relate totally. Can't wait for more.
As a kid in the 70s This and the Rain Song A song you will also like were the reason i started playing guitar And still this day i play The Rain Song at least once a week Peace to you and yours
All over the radio when I was growing up. Their songs always made the song before and the song after seem black & white, and Zeppelin was vivid techicolor.
You two can only imagine when we, as teenagers, listened to this band for the first time fifty (50) years ago!! There was no other band that came close to Zep. Even now it seems new, fresh, innovative and unique. Thank you so VERY much for this trip down memory lane! Love and greetings from sunny FL🌅
This Zep awakening happens to many people when they first start on the Zep journey and it literally changes your life. They will stay with you forever.
One of, if not THE favorite band in my playlist!! LOVE THEM - so DIVERSE - so CREATIVE - so TIGHT-together, as a group! There will NEVER be another Led Zeppelin!! GLAD YOU-GUYS ENJOYED IT!!!
I have never seen that video before and the surreal quality is great ..Led Zeppelin is a once in a life time event for the world and they might get together one more time and that will be it ..At least we still have their music on many formats and that is as close as it ever will get for many generations to come .
Led Zeppelin "Babe I'm Going to Leave You' has my favorite Zep Guitar(s). You have to do the studio version as they cannot duplicate the quality of the layered guitars in a live performance. I know you two will love it.
Great reactions Guys. You need to do their bluesy track Since I've Been Loving You... Your going to love it.. living the journey with you you two (and Arnold). Big fan.. Thanks for keeping it real.
What also makes Zeppelin great, their music versatility, rock blues & folk. They way it looks you haven’t gotten into their more blues music. Even if you don’t do reactions, start with their 1st album & listen to all. They were together a very short time before making their 1st album, Plant & Bonham were just 20, Page & Jones just a few years older. They melded together so amazingly from the beginning, read up on them too, very interesting.
Thank you for your reaction. You guys hit ever single possible point I could make; the transportive effect of Zep's music, commenting on the musicality of the arrangement, the fact that you used to have to be authentic (meaning actually playing instruments and singing) to get noticed, today's current musical "fast fashion" of relying primarily on studio tricks, etc. There's a definite lack of heart and soul in the great majority of today's sound. More young people need to be exposed to these artists and hopefully it will inspire new interest in the quality we used to have. I hope you share your new discoveries with friends/family you have; you never know, there might be a burgeoning artist there. 😊
Sorry…but they are the GOATS….one of a kind. There will never be another! THE GOATS!!!!!!!!😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 You will never let you down. You have so much more to explore of them! Start at album one, song one!
Your comments are correct. It's one thing to hear this in 2024 and be blown away, but imagine hearing this and some of thier others in thr late 60's and early 70's! The top of people's heads blew off! Nobody ever heard anything like it. A lot of critics hated it because they just didn't know what to do with it. Way ahead of their time.
Great song and I really enjoyed your reaction to it. I believe this is the studio version set to clips of concert film. If you want to watch them perform this song live with undistorted video, there are several videos available on YT, such as from their 1973 Madison Square Garden concert. You're right! There was no way to know what to expect from LZ! They were so incredibly versatile, creative, and gifted. Very much looking forward to your next LZ reaction. Thanks!
Great analysis guys between todays music and the really great music from back in the day. Love how you guys are always enjoying your first time listening to greatness.
You guys nailed it once again. Great reaction. This is not only music to listen to but so many times they teach us all just a little bit about life and life lessons in such a manner that it's still relevant today... and they rock your world in doing so... As Dominica said they were put here on earth by the Rock God's, because every band member is a G.O.A.T. How could so much talent come out of these guys... At such a young age..!? Thanks for keeping it real. Big fan. Love you guys.
You both will LOVE the energy (and the guitar solo) from the official video of The Immigrant Song! Guarantee it. And of course, Robert in all his glory. 😉
They kept the most private mystique...no commercials, tv or interviews...if you wanted to see them you had to go to a concert...it was amazing and so exciting to go see them live...people went nuts for them.
This is such a great song! Always has taken me on a journey. Led Zeppelin always did their songs so they would never sound the same so you got a new experience every time. Think-Light and Shade.. The best actual concert footage (imo) is Knebworth 79 which is an official video, JPJ plays a triple neck guitar amazingly , Jimmy’s performance is fantastic as usual, Bonham’s drums are legendary and Robert Plant is just astounding! There was always an air of mystery with Zeppelin, because they didn't make songs to play on the radio, but were incredibly successful
They never even performed on British or American tv either. They were offered lots of money but said no.
