This is a lovely song! And live it was fabulous!! Yep just the guitar and his voice!! Not only were the unbelievably talented and in sync...but they all LOOK GOOD TOO! They are all hot!
It's for sure my favorite. So wistful and perfect and it transcends the "I'm a ramblin' man" trope, it becomes a bittersweet and human take on how we are finite and we can't ever know what might have been
That's a great vid, from the Madison Square Garden film! I have to say I've seen it before but...have I? What the heck? Anyway...wow. The band is brilliant, period. Wonderful song and they went deep into the groove and jam in the middle solo section. Damn Jimmy is a genius. Hey Steph, please check out, for your own purposes, the studio version of the song. Robert uses a different melody and vocal attack on the studio version. On this version, he played it a little toned down and smooth, probably because he is managing the strain on this throat during the tour. But the studio version is major-classic, babe! You rock! It's so good to see the new Gen digging the greats. Beautiful.
You can tell just by your reactions how much you appreciate Led Zeppelin it's true and one of sincerity and so adorable to see the complete joy on your face ❤
The difference between Zeppelin and most other bands is that you could go see them two nights in a row, and you'd likely see a different song set. The vocals, solos, and everything else would be different. They never played the same song the same way twice, so every performance was a unique experience of what they happened to be feeling in that moment. These were not polished and rehearsed shows, they truly just jammed and improvised everything as they went. So every performance was a "once in a lifetime" experience.
Same with The Doors, Hendrix, Cream, etc. That was not unusual when I was young. Click tracks, and prerecorded song segments really weren’t a thing back then. Zep and other bands may have had a prerecorded something here and there, but by and large, live was live at a concert. It wasn’t for purity;s sake or anything. It’s just the way it was. The tech for doing it during a live show was very unreliable as well.
Dear Steph, you set me in motion, I plug my pick-up back into the amp and get my (Led Zeppelin) LPs out of the cupboard where they have been waiting since 2005 now.... And that will be another volume on 10. I don't often listen to Led Zeppelin, but when I do, my neighbours may listen in.
“I live for my dream and a pocket full of gold… some Acapulco gold!” So many great lyrics in this song, along with that almost whimsical guitar intro, into that sonic explosion, this song hits almost as hard as any Zeppelin tune. This was a popular song by them in the early 90’s when they released their box set. They even have an official video to accompany it. Not sure why it’s not quite as popular now. I guess the “problem” with Zeppelin is just the sheer strength of their musical catalog. Might as well play Zeppelin roulette, you’ll never miss. 🍀 🎶
Hi Steph, love your Zeppelin reactions! I was fortunate to be at this show at Madison Square Garden in 1973 when I was 15 years old! I also saw them in 1972, 1975 and 1977. And I was at their final reunion performance in 2007 in London. That is unfortunately the last time they played together and there are some great videos from that show. If you wanna see how they played when they were older. But they broke up in 1980 after the death of their drummer, John Bonham. His son Jason an excellent drummer himself played with them at the 2007 reunion.
@@juliemanarin4127 I was very fortunate that a friend of mine was best friends with Jason Bonham so we got the tickets through Jason and sat in his section with other guests of Jason. Yes, I know how fortunate I was to be at that show!!!

This is one of the very few that never had an opening act. They played their hearts out for over 3 hours and then hopped on the, Led Zeppelin, Starship to the next city and do it again the next night. Also, the concert would have the same playlist but never played the same songs the same way every time. Each concert was different from the last with their uncanny ability to ad-lib and improvise. This is why they are still so relevant in 2024 and will continue to be. As usual, Stephanie. It is obvious that you are really interested in this band and I can see the sincerity with all of your reactions. You are the best reactor on UA-cam in my humble opinion. ❤
The 1970's were the golden age of the lead guitar solos. From Led Zeppelin to Pink Floyd, Queen, Ten Years After, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Eagles, Heart, The Doobie Brothers, Rick Derringer, The Guess Who, BTO, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, YES, etc. All faithfully following in the footsteps of their 1960's guitar mentors like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. Note, it was Eric Clapton who played the lead guitar solo on the 1968 Beatles song, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". And Jimmy Page was of course also from the '60's rock era following his own path as a Blues rocker, and record producer.
La puissance et le pouvoir de séduction de ces 4 génies musicaux... 🎶🎸🎵🎹😲🥰🤩 à travers votre magnifique sourire et votre adorable réaction et feeling... ❤🌹💖 Led Zeppelin... That's it and that's unique, universal and timeless.... Well done dearest girl... 👌
And this is why in 1977 Led Zeppelin sold out the Silverdome stadium in Michigan at a record attendance of 76,229, which was then a Guinness Book of World Records for the largest attendance for a single act show at that time.
LoL I was there. My older sister took me and I was 13. Many years later, I had tickets for another Zeppelin concert but John Bonham died and all the shows where canceled.
They finished over 40 years ago when their drummer passed away, and only had a handful of performances playing together since then, the last reunion being in 2007.
Great reaction Steph, nice to hear more less watched songs that most non Led Zep fans are use to. Like most of these legendary bands the more you dive in you realise that they have even greater songs because every body knows the songs played on the radio or what they have heard. When you dive in you realise that most of their other songs are even better than what you heard on the radio, or are being reacted to. This band was around for 10 years they have a lot more in their catalogue than Stairway to Heaven, dive deep Steph you will not be disappointed.
Sis need to react every Dazed and Confused live performance. Choose any version as you want : 1969, 1970, 1973, 1975. All of that includes a masterclass of rock guitar.
She needs to hear the original first, then the incredible live evolution of this great epic. I also know many reactors just do live, it is what it is...
Hi Steph, another great reaction. If you want to see Jimmy go SUPERNATURAL on guitar check out Dazed and Confused live from MSG 1973. I swear he leaves his body during this performance. Keep up the great work. Much love from Zep fans worldwide.
A few more Zeppelin tunes to watch ........Good times bad times , communication breakdown , ramble on , the song remains the same , no quarter , all my love , when the levee breaks
Back in the day (`65-75) AM radio wanted songs 3 min or less. I grew up in the SF Bay Area and there were 2-3 FM stations that played the songs (in stereo!) right off the albums! Went to experience them in `69-70 at Winterland (SF) for $5! Then in `77 Day on the Green Oakland ballpark. Live WAS an experience! GOAT foe sure. NEVER gets old.
I like your style . you don't stop the video every 20 sec to give your reaction . Led Zeppelin is awesome by the way and seeing your reaction is like I am enjoying it with you !
That was a great performance and song reaction. I love this band. Somewhere around the 10:40 minute mark your audio cut out so unfortunately I couldn't hear your final thoughts but loved your reaction. Thank you.
I'm surprised that this doesn't have tons of views. OtHaFA is or was definitely one of their popular tunes. It got a lot of radio play, not as much as Whole Lot of Love, or Stairway or Black Dog, but it was a very popular tune.
You should try and listen to the studio versions, they are very different , they are way more orchestrated in the studio, I know Zep had a lot of problems trying to bring a lot of the songs to the stage live, but go ahead and listen to the studio versions and you can compare :)
The thing about Zeppelin is they had so many GREAT songs that some were overshadowed by others and in some cases not seen as 'being up to their standards' and therefore not all that good ... when in fact they were still fantastic songs. One I love, a short that's on the fun side, is "Boogie With Stu." I have always thought it was great, but it wasn't a big hit. It's not real impactful, it doesn't slap you across the face (in the best of ways) like so many Zeppelin songs .... but it's still really good.
you are ready for "Dazed and Confused" - Page at his absolute best; the over 29 minute version from this concert in 1973, IMHO, is the best version of the song I have ever heard
I love the way you immediately react to Jimmy Paige going into the absolute zenith of guitar stratosphere like other female reactors react to Plant being simultaneously ultra talented and sassy about being the hottest human on planet.
Well, as a couple others have noted, your sound went out, mic went dead mute was accidentally hit whatever, but we couldn't hear you fangirling out to Zeppelin after 10:30 or so. Damn, lol! Anyhow, great reaction overall. Try out some EARLY performances, like "How many more times" from "Danmarks Radio 1969". Total Fire! The band was only a year old then. (Jimmy goes even more brilliantly crazy on the guitar, even using a violin bow on it!)
John Paul’s Jones bass holding it down a usual. Why does he never get the credit. There are four them up there but only three ever credited. Just because he stands in the background he shouldn’t be ignored !!!I bet your neighbours love you if you play Zep loud !!!!
Please react to Zeppelin's "Ten Years Gone" Also Zeppelin's "In The Light" both gems. They never played In The Light live so you need to go the Physical Graffiti and listen to the Studio Version. Ten Years Gone from the same album I would listen first to the Studio version then Live. Incredible
If it's still on youtube, check out The Song Remains The Same which flows into The Rain Song from the same concert. Together, about 15 minutes of bliss.

Really I know your already reacted to many songs. But if you really want to understand this band and their diversity. You need to just start from the begining. The first album Led Zeppelin l. Side one and do a complete album listen reaction. That's the way this music was intended to be herd. You will be blown away. With each song you will have a new favorite. By the the end of side one. Every song takes you soul each for a different reason. You think OMG it can't get better than this. Then as side two begins. What do you know a new favorite song. When you finish the first album. Well you are quite lucky because you can right away start Led Zeppelin ll. In our days we had to wait until the new record was released. So we played the first album over and over. Learning word every solo ,every, drum fill. You couldn't wait until the new record was in the stores. Waiting in line the day it was released. Then going home to listen to it. That's why Zeppelin fans are so hard core . Now your thinking as you drop the needle on side one. It can't be better then the last record. Trust me it is. And it continues to be with each new record. By doing it in order you will really see how the band grows with each new album. That's just my suggestion. If you just want to bounce around . I know you would really like. The Song Remains The Same / The Rain Song . You need to do both these songs together. And the best performance in my opinion is the 1973 Madison Square Garden recording. Love your reactions. Side note Tu es muy bonita. ❤ LZ the greatest band to ever grace the stage!!!
Something tells me you would enjoy Jimmy Page playing "White Summer" from their 1970 concert at Royal Albert Hall. Just him and Bonzo going at it for like 12minutes.The song is actually from the last album of the Yardbirds before Page formed Led Zeppelin after that band split up. He uses the Danelectro guitar he used on "In My Time Of Dying" but not as a slide guitar.
This live version is great, but quite wild....i love it, but the studio version is a bit more "coherent & cohesive" (for lack of two better words) & DEFINITELY worth checking out also....the different sections on the album versioons are just *way* more defined, & i think youd find it interesting as well.
Also if ya dig and enjoyed this song by Led Zepp 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on UA-cam. 😀
This early performance is very good, but the album version is the better one. It is shorter but has more emotional power, where this one’s melodies meander. So hear the track on the “Houses of the Holy” album.
Great tune and a fantastic live performance. For more, try Dazed and Confused, try the studio original first then there are live versions at Royal Albert Hall (about 10 minutes) and MSG 1973 (28 minutes) that are just incredible. You need to hear the original then see these live performances, you are going to be floored by that song. Beautiful you lady, you Rock! Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
The amount of views doesn't determine if the song is good better or best... They played on radio and people just listened to albums, 8-tracks, cassettes.....etc. way before the internet and youtube.
People Love OTHAFA from HOTH because of the vocals. They prefer the 1972 HTWWW live version, because of the vocals. But, OTOH, I place more importance on the JP solo, best heard in the live version from 1973 at MSG!
What chemistry these guys had just amazing. 🎤🎹🥁🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
This is a lovely song! And live it was fabulous!! Yep just the guitar and his voice!! Not only were the unbelievably talented and in sync...but they all LOOK GOOD TOO! They are all hot!

LZ the greatest band to ever grace the stage!!!
I agree!
There have been many who have suggested that Page should have hired a second guitarist during live performances. And I agree.
I dont!! He could never find anyone good enough! And he handled every performance PERFECTLY
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
Love this. Prefer the studio version.
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
Great tune and a fantastic live performance. For more, try Dazed and Confused, try the studio original first then there are live versions at Royal Albert Hall (about 10 minutes) and MSG 1973 (28 minutes) that are just incredible. You need to hear the original then see these live performances, you are going to be floored by that song. Beautiful you lady, you Rock! Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
His vocals. Wow. Very different than the original. But ... still great, of course.
The amount of views doesn't determine if the song is good better or best...
They played on radio and people just listened to albums, 8-tracks, cassettes.....etc. way before the internet and youtube.
The biggest and best guitarist Jimmy Page.
Do In the evening and 10 years gone
Next Band for You ( Pavlov's Dog / Julia - Wishful thinking hiroshima )
Steph, your audio went out at 10:30 and you were saying stuff but we could not hear you! Darn!
Yeah, I love hearing true fans fanout on Zeppelin, lol, too bad we missed ANY of her comments!
Hello there hey there
Ripper reaction.
People Love OTHAFA from HOTH because of the vocals. They prefer the 1972 HTWWW live version, because of the vocals. But, OTOH, I place more importance on the JP solo, best heard in the live version from 1973 at MSG!
They can put you in a drug induced trance,.... without the drugs !!
