Also, I went to Deb with one of my characters who had a Charge Card and she seemed willing to accept it. That surprised me, as I thought only the guy in Far Harbor would.
It's a rare Junk item in the base game, yielding one Plastic. I want to say the Mr. Handy in the science gift shop not far from Bunker Hill and Monsignor Plaza has a higher chance than normal to sell it.
One of the most annoying things about Fallout 4 is that my name isn't able to be said by Codsworth. My name is Jarrod, but there is no variant of spelling that is in the game. Even Jared; WHO IS A CHARACTER IN THE GAME!
can Codsworth spell "Maxon" ? nope, even though that name have been in the series from the first fallout, or "Helena" which is also in the game, but nope, Codsworth can't spell it, so "Jared" being only a character, isn't really special
@@R3fug333 and Jared, or Jarrod is a common name ? Where ? Cause I never heard of it, and I also have heard the name "Helena" a couple time, btw, I include Maxon only because his argument is that even though Jared is an NPC name in Fallout 4, Codsworth still can't spell it.
@@puddles5501 Notice he says "been trying to play New Vegas" and "both are good in their own way". That's him saying he's kinda disappointed with NV after all the hype it's given.
if you really love fallout 4, you've sorta fallen in love with a not-so fallout, fallout.. playing New Vegas will blow 4 out of the water with choices and paths to decide on and will probably feel weird if you're used to the handholding and direction pointing that the bethesda fallouts apply. New Vegas is infinitely more replayable and funner than 4. If you can manage to learn the gameplay functions of the 1st and 2nd fallouts, they have easily the most RICH lore and experiences to explore, and amazing freedom and customization in the way of character building. Fallout 2 is easily one of the top 3 best games I've ever played in my life and it will probably hang onto that spot for a long long time to come.
If you do water purifiers at the places with big water, you can start farming water and get loads of caps. This is an old technique. I'm sure everyone knows about it, but it sure is easy to get money from that. Castle and the beach are the best places for this.
Boston accents vs Maine accents are so different. Grew up around Boston but moved to Maine. There is no simple “New England accent” there is loads of accents in this region.
@MG Lucero Twelve people to your one, noob. Rekt. Considering this narrator has one of the most obviously faked intonations I've ever heard on UA-cam, probably not him though. ;)

Well, plus really aside from one possible settler voice set, who really has a Boston accent in this game? Granted, I realize not everybody in Boston talks like Boston Rob (Rob Mariano, one of the most beloved contestants on Survivor, along with the wife he met on the All-Stars episode, Amber Brkich. They even managed to be the last ones, and at the reunion show, just before they announced which of them was the actual winner, he proposed) of Survivor fame, but come on... it seems almost NOBODY in this game does...
@Boco Corwin I know you're probably joking but in the game it's spelt Connelly, and you've read the pronunciation, straight from the Irish man's mouth.
@Just Beyond The Corner Productions in game it is spelt Connolly. I share the same last name with him. It’s Boston Irish Connolly. I grew up with a Boston Irish family my name is Connolly
For that last one, Tower Tom does the same thing on his terminal. My favorite is when you take out Boscoe at DB Tech he says something like "Somebody killed Boscoe. Good. That dude creeped me tf out."
Started playing fallout 4 for the first time about a week ago, never played any of the franchise but massively into other games of its kind but somehow skipped over fallout. Absolutely loving it so far and can’t get enough!
You know for the years I have been playing this, I just found out during the scene where kyle is aiming his gun at his brother because he thinks he's a synth, you can kill Kyle and trigger different dialogue between you and the guard.
Another fact about Parker Quinn is that he has settler AI...if you can find a way to make him visit a settlement...by attacking him and making him follow you or console commands he can make a good vender
The Lone Survivor as the Shroud can also NOT enter the final room of the Mechanist's Lair. Instead, you can backtrack all the way back to the terminal locked elevator near the entrance. Having gone through and looting everything you find, you will have gotten three holotapes along the way. You can use them on the terminal, bypassing the lock down and freeing the elevator for use. Using the elevator, you can enter the Lair via the 'back entrance' and loot it completely before meeting the Mechanist in the control room. This gives you Shroud dialog to convince the Mechanist that her programming is in error and surrender to you. the Frank Gamer
Sometimes I wonder about the skies of Fallout and Skyrim. Like, do they use the same sky textures? Does Skyrim have the actual constellations (thief, steed, tower, etc) visible? Are there satellites over Fallout's wastes?
Well, I am an astronomer and there is not a single recognizable constellation in Fallout 4. This irritates me, but the sky would have to be a spherical shell that rotated for diurnal motion and tilt for precession and nutation, with only one map for the constellations. I suspect that rendering that in real-time would rob too much memory resources. I keep looking for recognizable constellations in Skyrim, and I have only seen the Mage, Theif, and Warrior in Sovngarde.
And the answers are: No, no, and no. Edit: if you look at the sky box textures, they aren't really high enough res for that. Nor do the "stars" have the patterns of any constellation
That's disappointing, but not really surprising... You'd think the skies in Skyrim at least would be clearer, considering the lack of smog/light pollution...
I had the Nick-Raider interaction happen at one point where a group of raiders were holding up some farmers, and since I wasn't prepared for combat - having stupidly walked up not seeing the larger group was armed - I got treated to the nice interaction. Was ages ago- but if memory serves I immediately walked over a landmine while puzzling over the conversation and detonated a car beside both groups.
6:20 I remember that on one of my characters wore the shroud outfit because it was the best I had. When I went to see the mechanist, I was like "hey cool I can talk as the shroud?" Nice.
In regards to that last one, the other raider bosses, like Tower Tom and Red Tourette, also have unique terminal entries. For example, when you take out the raiders at the beantown brewery, Red has a terminal entry about it, saying how she's gonna try and see if her sister is alive (or something like that).
I only went after Nick when the Pastor in Diamond City suggested it. I ignored Mama Murphy and didn't talk to her. Someone (don't remember who), merely mentioned Diamond City, and it was added to my map. When I got into Diamond City, the first character I talked to after entering (aside from Piper and the guard) was that Pastor, and I got dialogue options with with. I talked to him about Shaun, and I passed a persuasion attempt tp convince him to help me. And so he then told me About Nick Valentine
I'm the type of guy that do most side quest then the main quest. So, while I'm roaming in the wasteland I found Nick accidentally while exploring the vault lol. I don't even know that Nick is missing from Diamond city and we must find him. For me, completing some quest even before you got that quest or finding some items that you need later in game is always be the best feeling for me So it's epic
6:35 on my first playthrough I used the Silver shroud costume all the time and I thought this was normal once you did the quests and had the outfit in your inventory. Who would known it was a hidden dialogue 😅
Am I the only one who learns only one fact from these videos? like its 7 Minutes of stuff l already know, and then Nate just blows my mind with one awesome thing?
Well spotted. Story wise, Corvega should be one of the first places you clear out of raiders. Second place in my case, if I count Radar Station Olivia. So, hard to see those entries, unless you really go other way around with putting exploration first.
The female voice actor does a better job with the Silver Shroud dialog. Actually the female voice actor is better at everything! My favorite raider talk in the one about "Grenade Guy". Then the Super Mutants have a similar conversation about "Grenade Guy." I want to meet this "Grenade Guy"
@@JesusCheeseburger That is correct. Pretends to throw grenades and makes the sounds perfectly. Leaves the super mutants and raiders dumbfounded by what they're seeing.
I actually completely disagree, to me the male voice actor is far less cringy. The silver shroud quest is honestly the worst of the female voice acting for me, lol :P
I prefer the male voice actor, which is why I'm always a male. Brian T. Delaney kills it as the Silver Shroud, and you can hear the intimidation in his voice, behind the cheesy lines.
There is a similar terminal in beantown and the federal ration stockpile for sure and I think in libertalia. Probably in all the major raider bases too.
most of the named raiders have a terminal about the other raider gangs being wiped out. tower tom, red tourette, slag and bosco i know do. it's p neat how the world updates around you
This game was so good, especially with the additional DLCs. Best Fallout game of all time however in my opinion is Fallout New Vegas. It's sad to see how Fallout 76 turned out, how some of the magic from Fallout 4 went lost without the dialog options etc. but then again it's an entirely different type of game. Fallout 76 isn't bad I do enjoy playing it but it doesn't match up with Fallout 4.
They really focused on Nick in Fallout 4. The entirety of the Far Harbor DLC revolves around him. It's advisable to take him with you if you want the complete story of DiMA and Nick.
For the unique dialogue at number two, Doctor Amari freezes the memory of your spouse's death and says "Don't want to relive that again." when you get to that segment. Edit: For number five this also applies to other raider groups, in the Commonwealth.
My favorite part about visiting the memory den early: after the speech check to relive the memory for free and after enjoying that trauma again, you can do another speech check to demand a refund! Nothing like getting free caps!
to be honest, not a single game in the franchise has been a true fallout game, you see, if the majority of the earth's major nations were nuked, that would create so much ash, that it would blot out the sun, every place on earth, would be "shroud"ed in darkness, leading to the demise of all life on our planet.
I did that memory den quest recently without knowing about it on my first survival playthrough. So much of the main quest got sideline in favor of surviving.
Did you know that in the quest the silver shroud when you go to the comic book store you can actually grab a silver shroud machine gun prop and a picture of the silver shroud and you can actually give it to a Kent for some extra caps also there is if I'm correct a unstoppables comic book at the comic book store plus you can find grognak's axe and on the third floor if you search through some lockers you can find grognak's costume which if I'm correct does 15 percent more melee damage Edit: grognak's axe is one of the best starter weapons in game and with the right perks it can do around I think 80+ damage It what's the main melee weapon that I used for my start of the game the only bad thing about it is it can't be modified the only reason why I got rid of it was because I got kremvh's tooth which is better Side note: the best melee weapon in fallout 4 is a fully upgraded sledgehammer however it is very slow but if you don't have a problem with that and if you have the right perks while the sledgehammer is fully upgraded it can do over 150 damage in ballistic and fully upgraded it does a bit of energy damage I'm just not sure how much but you do have to have the nuka world dlc in order to get a fully upgraded sledgehammer the one I'm talking about at least Edit: I'm sorry to whoever read this I just realized how big this comment is
Yeah... I bet Nate was gutted when he realised he couldn't do a "5 things..." series on 76. I mean, there might be 5 things. If you look really hard throughout the entire map.
Austin Evan's probably knew and nitpicked all of these we just haven't noticed because he talks a mile a second like Bethesda killed his family or something and now he's just Fallout triggered
9:20 I love hearing how convoluted our pronunciation is compared to how it looks. We say "Saugus" like "I just saw Gus at the library." Also, interesting fact: Saugus Ironworks is a real place, its a national historic site in Saugus MA, it was the first successful integrated iron works in North America in 1645.
Over 40 playthroughs and not once? Seems crazy to me. I only have 1 and explored Good Neighbour before Diamond City. In fact I'm level 66, completed most quests within Good Neighbour, explored about 3/4 of the whole map and still haven't set foot in Diamond City. Kind of putting it off as I know there will be loads of quests there and don't want to make huge progress in big chunks. Want to get good use of the game taking small steps at a time.

Then, since he was extorting supplies from Red in exchange for her sister's life, the Corvega leader forged letters to her making it seem like the sister was still alive! Man, that whole exchange kept making me wish I could have done something for Red and her sister!
Then theres the part where they hid her body inside one of the beer containers, making the beer "taste funny" I stopped drinking that type of beer after finding that out. I may be a murdering psychopath but I'm no cannibal!
I seriously procrastinated on the main quest, so I wound up at the memory den before even entering diamond city for the first time. It never occurred to me that I probably did something other players wouldn’t.
I didn't know about the early Memory Den thing until now. Holy sh-t the amount of options in this game still surprise me.
Marluxiaify if you think this game had options...then you must of never played FO3 or New Vegas

@Willem DaFuckedUp You sure ?

Carlos Alexie fallout 2 has more descions that effect the story mode then 4 facts
Chomp Chomp nah that's an opinion bro
New vegas was the golden game
Relating to the Silver Shroud quest, if you kill the hostage during the standoff before any other dialogue options (I'm talking pop him as soon as the elevator opens) all the raiders call you a psycho and run in terror. Great for an evil playthrough tbh.
Finally, after 1800 hour's in fallout I knew all of these...what have I done with my life... btw the terminals at Beantown and corvega are cross referenced. If you take out jared first the Beantown terminal talks about that etc.
Saugus Ironworks, the terminal of the leader of the Forged comments on the fall of Jared as well.
Man, you are one of the kind, huh?
I told Parker no, he called me names so I blew his head off. Life's tough in the wasteland.
that's commonwealth Justice for ya hahaha
Ya should’ve just bought the charge card, kill him, get the caps back then once you have Far Harbour you can go to brookes and get more money
There is a charge card item you can find as an item in the world somewhere. Not sure but give it a look up. However you can only return 1 charge card for 100 caps
You'll keep the other one forever
I have seen a Charge Card for sale with some vendors. Trashcan Carla, and Deb in Bunker Hill.
I have also seen it as random loot in a tool box once. I don't recall where.
Islarf yay
Nate: Most people rescue Nick before even going to The Memory Den
Me: Almost level 60 and has discovered half the map and hasn't rescued Nick yet.
@@haniffaris8917 Except Maxon isn't really a common name. Helena is at least a name, but not that common.

I prefer fallout 3
if you really love fallout 4, you've sorta fallen in love with a not-so fallout, fallout.. playing New Vegas will blow 4 out of the water with choices and paths to decide on and will probably feel weird if you're used to the handholding and direction pointing that the bethesda fallouts apply.
Rekt.
Considering this narrator has one of the most obviously faked intonations I've ever heard on UA-cam, probably not him though. ;)
MG Lucero people keep liking it. People are on a fact video and walked away with another fact so quit being a salty baby and let people enjoy their things.
PlaySauce you actually seem like you give a fuck.. why don’t you move on. Just cuz you don’t care about my comment doesn’t mean nobody else does. 19 people so far liked mine you got 2 thumbs up. Just go do something else bro this isn’t gonna work out for you.
Danish Kent Cannoli I think PlaySauce was on your side there lol. You've gone rage blind.
Who else has heard the story of the raiders that put a man on a mattress down the river.
Yes
Kent... Canoli?? Connelly. CONnelly, not caNOli
@Boco Corwin I know you're probably joking but in the game it's spelt Connelly, and you've read the pronunciation, straight from the Irish man's mouth.
It’s Connolly.. lol
@Just Beyond The Corner Productions in game it is spelt Connolly. I share the same last name with him. It’s Boston Irish Connolly. I grew up with a Boston Irish family my name is Connolly
Con-skins 😂
Now Nate's just trolling everyone.
For that last one, Tower Tom does the same thing on his terminal. My favorite is when you take out Boscoe at DB Tech he says something like "Somebody killed Boscoe. Good. That dude creeped me tf out."
"Kent Cannoli?" He filled with ricotta and sprinkled in sugar then?
He saved Sylvester Stallone's life? (Demolition Man reference)
Mascarpone not ricotta😂
Started playing fallout 4 for the first time about a week ago, never played any of the franchise but massively into other games of its kind but somehow skipped over fallout. Absolutely loving it so far and can’t get enough!
All the raider bosses that have terminals will have entries about your actions if you kill other raider bosses
Or modders can use Amazing Follower Tweaks' "Make Settler" option. He'll work out better than that chick that got cheated in Vault 81!
No way!

I discovered the Memory Den far before going to it as part of the main quest. I wish they'd have given us other memories instead of the trauma.

No
Actually, if you look closely at the skies in skyrim, you can make out some of the in-game constellations as well as the two moons Masser and Secunda!
Love this video especially the raider part about wiping out gangs, glad to know that there is a sort of reputation system
(this is in addition to the terminal entries and letters red always has about her captured sister)
Hey nate what mods do you use for your lighting and textures in your game?
I'm the type of guy that do most side quest then the main quest. So, while I'm roaming in the wasteland I found Nick accidentally while exploring the vault lol. I don't even know that Nick is missing from Diamond city and we must find him. For me, completing some quest even before you got that quest or finding some items that you need later in game is always be the best feeling for me
So it's epic
awee i get you i bumped into him too accidentally and saved him on one of my old saves when the game came out 😂😂😂
6:23. The same thing happens when you start nuka world when u fight I forgot his name u will have a unique conversation with the guy.
Same. It's like, I've played this for hundreds of hours and seen it all. Then I'll see one little thing that I somehow missed.
No you arent :-)
Yea, but he always earns his 'like' for that one awesome thing... for me this video it was the Nick and the Raiders one. :) What was yours?
@@ragabashmoon1551 I never knew you could use the charge card in Far Harbor. I never bought it since it seemed like an obvious scam.
The final one at where he talks about the raider boss and how raiders will talk about how you wiped out raider camps.
Well spotted. Story wise, Corvega should be one of the first places you clear out of raiders. Second place in my case, if I count Radar Station Olivia. So, hard to see those entries, unless you really go other way around with putting exploration first.
Some other raider gangs will have similar entries as well.
Parker is the physical embodiment of fallout 76
The female voice actor does a better job with the Silver Shroud dialog. Actually the female voice actor is better at everything!
My favorite raider talk in the one about "Grenade Guy". Then the Super Mutants have a similar conversation about "Grenade Guy." I want to meet this "Grenade Guy"
is Grenade Guy the one that makes motorcycle noises?
@@JesusCheeseburger That is correct. Pretends to throw grenades and makes the sounds perfectly. Leaves the super mutants and raiders dumbfounded by what they're seeing.
I actually completely disagree, to me the male voice actor is far less cringy. The silver shroud quest is honestly the worst of the female voice acting for me, lol :P
The female one has way more emotion in her lines where as the male has a bit more badassery?
I prefer the male voice actor, which is why I'm always a male. Brian T. Delaney kills it as the Silver Shroud, and you can hear the intimidation in his voice, behind the cheesy lines.
Its not just the terminal in Corvega. I think almost every Raider Boss is keeping track of his rivals. Atleast Red Tourret is.
Slag has the same thing for the Corvega bosses too. Must be a mechanic built into the game.
There is a similar terminal in beantown and the federal ration stockpile for sure and I think in libertalia. Probably in all the major raider bases too.
One thing I love about FO4 vids is hearing non-Massachusetts people trying to pronounce some of the town names 😂
most of the named raiders have a terminal about the other raider gangs being wiped out. tower tom, red tourette, slag and bosco i know do. it's p neat how the world updates around you
This game was so good, especially with the additional DLCs.
You can also speak as the shroud to the robots in the Nuka-World western themed area.

Wow I was expecting this to be clickbait but I actually had no idea about some of these. That one about the Memory Den is really cool

Did you know that in the quest the silver shroud when you go to the comic book store you can actually grab a silver shroud machine gun prop and a picture of the silver shroud and you can actually give it to a Kent for some extra caps also there is if I'm correct a unstoppables comic book at the comic book store plus you can find grognak's axe and on the third floor if you search through some lockers you can find grognak's costume which if I'm correct does 15 percent more melee damage
Edit: grognak's axe is one of the best starter weapons in game and with the right perks it can do around I think 80+ damage It what's the main melee weapon that I used for my start of the game the only bad thing about it is it can't be modified the only reason why I got rid of it was because I got kremvh's tooth which is better
Side note: the best melee weapon in fallout 4 is a fully upgraded sledgehammer however it is very slow but if you don't have a problem with that and if you have the right perks while the sledgehammer is fully upgraded it can do over 150 damage in ballistic and fully upgraded it does a bit of energy damage I'm just not sure how much but you do have to have the nuka world dlc in order to get a fully upgraded sledgehammer the one I'm talking about at least
Edit: I'm sorry to whoever read this I just realized how big this comment is
