Niacinamide is in everything now. You dont need a stand alone Niacinamide serum anymore.

I'm on my second bottle of this serum from The Ordinary and it's great for people w oily and acne prone skin. It really helps reduce sebum and oil production so it's great for that. I have dry skin but an oily t zone so I use it only in the t zone. It has done wonders.

Two questions:
1. What if you do not use a toner but want to use a hyrdrating serum? Can you dampen your skin with water instead?
2. Would you use exfoliating serums, such as SA after or before hydrating serums?

2. It depends.
2.a. If you would like to reduce chances of high irritation or just irritation, use the hydrating serum first.
2.b. Some would prefer having the actives closest to the skin and layer it on with soothing/hydrating products to reduce irritation. This is what I do with acids/benzoyl peroxide.
Yes , with like hyaluronic acid. I dampen my skin with water or rose water and it works great!
Could you PLEASE do a video on silicones in skincare? I am SOOO torn on if they’re okay or not (and if they’re actually “plastic”, biodegradable, clog/suffocate the skin, etc.), every place on the internet has a different answer. I don’t want to waste money on the wrong product and I really trust your knowledge! Thank youuuu

I went a little crazy and used a vitamin c, retinol, and exfoliating serum and did a number on my skin. It’s almost back to normal since I took a break from my actives and started using the cerave healing ointment. I’ll check out one of the hydrating serums you mentioned to work on repairing my moisture barrier

Two questions,can you use glycolic acid(the Ordinary) and retinol again the same time? And is there a product that is kind of an all in one for the lazy guy/gal? Am I the only person with the most sensitive skin in the world? I have to keep it strictly simple like only double cleansing, moisturizing, retinoid at night and SPF in the day time and chemical exfoliants that can only stay on the skin for 10 minutes twice a week. But a girl can dream to use oils and serums :/

@@uyaiumoren2030 I use the Cerave daily moisturizing lotion, it's the only moisturizer that doesn't give me fungal acne.

S A urgh thank you for replying. I really hoped you will mention something else that cerave moisturising lotion or even the cream the tube version does not work for me. It causes break outs for me I guess it is the Cetearyl Alcohol in it.
Uyai Umoren I’m not a huge neutrogena fan but their hydro boost gel cream does not contain cetearyl alcohol in it! I used to use it a few years ago though but it wasn’t irritating to the skin

Is it true that applying an essence before your serum would help the serum penetrate more??
