    I took "Precision Engineered L-arginine L-ornithine L-lysine 120 Tablets"
but did not notice any difference.
I took cayenne chilli pepper powder & curcumin & clearly noticed a a huge difference.
Who has heart disease or angina plz try it & come back here to thank God.

Thank you very much Dr Brewer.
I thought I'd share my experience & I'm hopping this will help others through your valuable input.
The first year after my heart attack/cardiac arrest I was put on so many different medications other than these I am mentioning below which became my regular constant treatment for the second year while I needed using GTN spray too a few times a week... (it might worth mentioning that I went through severe stress & family destruction & I also had an under-active thyroid)
So before I start taking cayenne pepper & curcumin I was on:
      1- Diltiazem 90mg X2
      2- Nicorndil 20mg X2
      3- Isosorbide 20mg X2
      4- Ranolazine 375mg
      5- Aspirin 75mg
      6- Atorvastatin 80
In 2 months time I reduced the first four medicines to half.
And later within a few months gradually dropped all of them one by one.
Eventually in around 6 months I did not need any of the first four neither I needed GTN spray anymore.
Now I am on only Aspirin & atorvastatin
but I have been taking Co-q10 & other supplements (magnesium, zinc, omega3, V-d3, V-k2, ashwagandha..)
I do not do ANY physical exercises but on a good diet.
      May God bless all 🙏

I will say that arginine must be taken with no other protein or it will just combine. I agree with you on cayenne-it will stop a heart attack. You did not include how much argenine you were taking each day either-pills means nothing.

This is very helpful, but I'll note this, for the argument of supplement vs. medication. Each year in the US, it's estimated that supplements send appox. 23,000 people to the ER, with 9% (just under 2,300) requiring hospitalization. On that same note, legal medications that are taken correctly send approx 1.5 million Americans to the hospital each year, and an additional 700,000 will have an adverse reaction to a drug while in the hospital for other things. That's 2.2 million total and, of that, roughly 106,000 to 124,000 will die. Speaking as one of those 1.5 million from back in 2015, I'm glad you understand fully why I forgo meds for supplements whenever possible.

Pumpkin seeds have one of the highest concentrations of arginine. One cup of dried pumpkin seeds contains 6.905 grams of the amino acid. Other seeds with a high amount of arginine include watermelon, sesame, and sunflower seeds. Dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese are all sources of arginine.

From the research I've done on PubMed it looks like taking citrulline is more effective than taking arginine. Obviously you know that citrulline is the precursor that converts to Arginine in the body. For whatever reasons the body is able to convert the citrulline into the arginine more efficiently than just taking arginine. 👍

I had a stent implanted in the o'l widow maker ( L descending) back in 2008 after a mild infarction. The angina did not stop. My angina did not occur with exercise, but usually early in the morning after rest. I was living on Nitroglycerin ( and isosorb which gave me a headache). I was diagnosed as having Pritzmetals Variable Angina. After research I started L Arginine. I had immediate positive results. That is my angina stopped. Now it's 2022 and I take a nightly dose of L Arginine. I VERY seldom have any angina . The only negative that I have experienced is that L Arginine is a herpes antagonist and can activate shingles. L Lysine counteracts this some in my experiences.

My experience with 3 grams a day off and on for over 10 years. It's for athletic performance. I do not see this supplement doing anything for anyone who does not use a lot of the chemical it provides in the body already. I push it past it's current limit so I have seen a need for supplementation. However in 98% of humans there is likely no need to supplement this. Thank you as always Dr.

You want to know what I think about cholesterol.... from what I've read I think there might be two causes other than hypercholesterolemia....
      1. Low vitamin c ... Causing damaged arteries for lack of collagen that then causes cholesterol to plug the cracks ... So low collagen...
      2. Unused cholesterol for hormone production causing a surplus of cholesterol and hormone deficiency ... See cholesterol hormone Cascade ....
I'm not a doctor , these are paper napkin science and really just a hypothesis of mine ... Could be wrong ...

    • @fordfiveohh
      @fordfiveohh 6 років тому +1

Did you check your testosterone levels ?... I think there's a connection to high cholesterol and low hormones....
That said exogenous hormones might raise your cholesterol because your body isn't using cholesterol to make them ....
You need a Cascade inducing hormone like DHEA, sermorelin, or HCG to tell the body to make hormones then burn cholesterol doing it ....
Vitamin D is actually a hormone and is also made from cholesterol..
I wonder if it's possible if sunlight exposure might lower your cholesterol.... A tanning bed might even do it...

I started supplementing 6 grams of l-citrulline before the gym. Not only is cardio easier, but the pump my muscles get from weight training is absolutely incredible. I take adderall for adhd and caffeine before the gym so this supplement has been a life changer for me. It reverses vasoconstriction from the stimulants, makes the gym much more fun, and lowers my blood pressure a bit. If you want blood flow that compares to viagra, mix 8 grams of citrulline and 1.5 grams of nitrosigine.

People don't like to take prescription meds because of the side effects and the long term health damage that they tend to do. When I was in the hospital for heart surgery, when I was in recovery and then in ICU, I was on a nitroglycerin drip (an I.V. with nitro in it). My blood pressure was crazy low (not unhealthfully low but lower than I had ever seen it). I was on other medications in ICU so I can't say whether it was the nitro alone that lowered my BP but they thought my condition warranted using it.
I take L-arginine supplements in order to give my endothelium all the advantages possible. I sometimes (maybe once a month) take colloidal copper too because it strengthens the blood vessels.
Ace inhibitors are calcium channel blockers. Calcium is one of the most useful substances in the body. Somehow shutting down calcium doesn't make a lot of sense. Although, the reason for my heart surgery was to replace calcified heart valves. So, in my case, calcium was not being absorbed correctly in my body. I have since started supplementing with magnesium and vitamin D to help my body correctly absorb calcium.

I noticed my toes were slightly purple and shiny. I also had a scratch wound on my lower leg that was light pink and had no scab. After taking a single teaspoon of l-citrulline (3g) I noticed my toes were normal coloured and my wound had a scab - I suspect I was getting PAD which can lead to gangrene and amputated toes and lower legs. So now I take 1/2 teaspoon 30 minutes before breakfast (so it also helps my brain) and again in the late afternoon. My father lost his right lower leg, and my blood pressure meds didn’t give any benefit.

I am 45 and a month ago started CoQ10 and also started exercising twice a day (cardio and body weight exercises) and this decreased my hypertension from 145/95 - 150/100 to 127/80 in only 1 month. I would like to also try either L-Arginine or Citrulline but would it make sense to stop CoQ10 while taking this?. My concern is that the blood pressure may drop too low with both supplements. Is this a valid concern?Anyways thank god for CoQ10

    • @GizmoFromPizmo
      @GizmoFromPizmo 3 роки тому +5

CoQ10 is essential. Do not stop taking that. I take Ubiquinol, which is "reduced" CoQ10. Ubiquinol is better absorbed. I also take L-Citruline Malate. My BP is right around 127/80 as well but I also take a low dose of Metoprolol (a prescription pharmaceutical). Don't worry about your pressure dropping too low. I was on a nitro glycerine drip in cardiac ICU along with other medications. I remember seeing BPs like 90/60 and I'm still alive.

@John Lorscheider There are many, many Science journals advocating the benefits of dark chocolate. Both mango and kiwi have reasonable levels of serotonin which help us to relax, ginger is used by the pharmaceutical company's in many drugs due to its ability to improve circulation hence it sends everything where it needs to go. Water melon has a reasonable amount of arginine in too, its recommend to eat it on its own for a meal. Hope that helps. The science Is there to back up my suggestions. Enjoy.

Interesting...when taking Citrulline i feel like garbage. I've trialled different doses, food with it etc... But ultimately have stopped using it as i feel like i've been poisoned after taking it. Takes 20-40 odd mins to clear before i can do much. If taken before training i get sweaty and very queezy and more often have to stop till its passed. L-Arginine however i don't get any such symptoms regardless of dose and how i take it. I do feel i've had a very good sleep after taking it at night before bed and wake up with alot of energy. Particually noticable during nights where i've had alot less sleep and normally would be sluggish and tired the next day. Also seemingly after a hard, intense day of training the next day i feel good to go, my joints feel well rested, good energy levels etc...
