I remember being diagnosed with osteoporosis and my physician throwing prescriptions at me. I began to research and discovered that along with calcium and Vitamin D, K2-M7 was also recommended. When I told my family physician, my gynecologist and physician and staff who were specifically treating my osteoporosis what I had learned, every single one of them acted like I was a reckless moron! It’s refreshing and a bit rewarding to see only a decade later this becoming more recognized. Finding data for dosing isn’t easy though so we have much to still do, but praise for progress and videos like this ❤

My Endocrinologist who treats my Osteoporosis, told me me doesn’t really agree that K2 helps put calcium where it belongs, in the bones.!!!
He did increase my Vit D3 intake as I was very low. No doctor ever told me I needed D3 with Calcium supplement so for 20+ years I was only getting what might have been added in to the Calcium pills!
He’s very happy for me to go back on Statins and to stay on Calcium supplement for Osteoporosis. I find iimyself wondering if the high dose of calcium I have taken for the past 20 years is partially responsible for the atherosclerosis seen in my CAC test.

If you want k2-mk7 dosage tests check pupmed for Japanese natto trials, they have been at it for a very long time and their public research is credible compared to the west. I eat 10g or so natto a day for about a year now (as cheungukyang which is awesome in savory sauces) which corresponds to about 70mcg k2-mk7 but according to the Japanese it is hard to find adverse effects at far higher doses. My BP is 18 points improved in a year and finger/toe and knee joint pain is completely gone and backpain so much better.
How is your k2 adventure going for you?

I also take D3 and K2, and have for several years. Immediately, I stopped having constant respiratory infections. I have been so much healthier! I am amazed that even though doctors seem to be getting on the D3 bandwagon, many are still not aware of the need for K2 to keep the calcium out of the arteries and soft tissues. I appreciated the information in this video very much.

As a cardiac RN. I was horrified to see that most of my older patients were prescribed a calcium supplement and never given magnesium and K-2. We get enough calcium in the average diet, but D3, magnesium and K-2 are needed to protect the bones and keep calcium where it needs to be. I was only too happy to toss the big hard to swallow calcium pills in the trash when my patients protested them…my concerns were met with smirks from the docs…hence I don’t listen to many doctors. This doctor is worth listening to, imho. But, like I have said, Dr. Mercola, who is denigrated by mainstream medical folks, has been teaching everything said here for over 20 years. I always take K-2 with my D3, and I take magnesium and selenium, but no calcium.

Wow. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 38. I'm 61 now, and told my doctor about a month ago that I needed to be on K2. He had never mentioned it. He did tell me, eventually, not to take Ca supplements. But my low fat diet since age 18 is probably what put me there in the first place. The advice we've been given for our "health" has been exceedingly destructive. I don't even trust the healthcare system anymore, and I was a nurse for 28 years.

Get your calcium from food only. Green leafy vegies, canned/fresh wild caught salmon, prunes, take D3/K2 daily, work out with weights and walk with a weighed vest. So important! Research Barbara O'Neill. I also take a crystal of Celtic salt in the AM with a glass of water - the minerals the bones need. It's not just calcium.

24 /7 heartburn meds use azoles. Azoles are antifungals. Not proton pump inhibitors. This is so good. I love listening to Dr. Jamnadas. He explains things so well. Most cardiologist doesn't understand this. I've been supplementing with D3/K2 for two years now. I discovered this on my own and now we see all this good content on it. I took an independent preventative test and received a high calcium score over 400. I called my niece, a nurse who is an expert on diets and natural treatments to reverse morbidity, especially with heart patients. I changed my diet immediately and started taking K2 from my own research. What Dr. Jamnadas says about food is spot on. I went to a cardiologist who said the calcium could be on my heart and not in my arteries. I've never had any heart issues before. I took a stress test and passed it no problem. I had already lowered my cholesterol 30 points with just diet by then (3 months). I already exercise in the gym 3 times a week including HIIT routines. I've never had any heart pains from my physical exercise. I elevate my heart to the 170s at times with no pain. So no further test have been conducted. The cardiologist flat out out told me I could not reverse the calcium accumulation (not in my arteries). That is a provable lie, and he never recommended K2. Who knows how many people these doctors are killing through willful ignorance. I told him heart disease ( I don't have it) and arterial calcification can be reversed and he said it couldn't. So folks, you have to do your own research and take your healthcare into your own hands. Unfortunately most doctors aren't that good and certainly won't help you stay healthy.

He is basically assuming that just because the advice was to eat low fat diet, that's what people are eating, without looking at the actual data about what people are actually eating. And then he takes hypotheses forward using that assumption. Not a very good sign of being educated enough to understand correlation. Smoking rates have been constantly increasing in many countries in the world while the official advice is to not smoke. I have been studying the relationship between Physicians and Pharmaceutical Companies.
There are Doctors who receive kick backs for prescribing certain drugs from certain Drug Companies.
These doctors are individuals who have made a choice. Ask them if they make extra money on the drug they are prescribing you? You can ask.
Ask them if they attend dinners and talks put on by that certain company?
The medication may be fine for you, but you do have the right to check how your doctor is running the pharmacological section of his practice.
And ask your Pharmacist about your drugs. He knows a lot more than your doctor.
You don’t have to just refuse any drug for this reason. It may be a very good drug for your condition. But it would be to your advantage to have as much info as you can on your physician and his practice to determine if he is an ethical person.
Many, many doctors do not engage in this type of practice.

🙌🏻 I love this gentleman!! My late mother was prescribed blood thinners when she was in her 60’s. She was told to avoid any vitamin K rich foods. Having a strong will and perseverance, she followed her doctor’s advice rigorously. Over the next years, she developed several diseases, which I am now convinced, were caused in part due to a vitamin K2 deficiency. In the course of 5 years, she suffered back, arm, and hip fracture (twice). She was also diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. She passed away last summer, aged 76, from complications during her second hip replacement surgery. 😢 R.I.P. my sweet mom. 🙏🏻
Thank you, doctor Jamnadas, for sharing this precious knowledge and educating us, so that we can take control of our health. 🤲🏻

Big pharma CEOs are billionaires. They get all of our $$$$ from sending out their salesppl to push their pills on the patients--you & me.
      Simple as that.
These drug company CEOs realize that many ppl put a lot of stock into ppl wearing white coats, like doctors.
Always research before filling a prescription what the side effects are & just Google "adverse effects."
      It can be very educational.
Many years ago, I was suffering from migraine-like headaches on a regular basis. Unable to stand a recent headache, I headed to my Urgent Care facility. There after telling that Doc what my history was, he took an X-ray (unnecessary X-ray) and gave me a sample of a drug he had on hand called Bextra.
Fortunately, I would find myself the next day, still looking for relief and in another ER. The nurse took me in to see the doc, asked what drugs I was given so far. I pulled out the unused Bextra.
She seemed concerned. She asked me who the doc was that gave it to me. She kept it.
Later, I got home and Googled the drug. Talk about a close shave! Bextra was recalled and had numerous lawsuits files against it's use.
Just because these ppl wear white coats doesn't mean much anymore to me. I do my research on everything now.
      It can't hurt.

you should also look into nattokinase (also from fermented food with high levels of k2), but it's an enzyme that also dissolves fiber. Serrapeptatse, lumbrokinase, also are helpful. Doctors say that k2 cannot reverse what already happened, only prevent. But people taking the nattokinase, lumbrokinase enyzmes alongside k2 are reporting complete reversals in their calcium deposit levels in tissues. Also, the correct dosage for mk4 is 1g - 15g per day. Mk-7 is 100mcg, mk4 is over 1g. Most companies who make k2 have no idea that mk4 needs to be dosed high.

Wow. This could explain the recent discovery of a blockage in my Left Anterior Descending artery! Have been on Xarelto for 7 years and thought K2 was not allowed. (I was told that by two physicians) About 3 months ago I finally read that K2 is not contraindicated with Xarelto. I added 200 mcg daily along with 5000 Vit. D3. I also had been taking Calcium supplements due to osteopenia. I stopped the calcium about 6 months ago because I had a “nagging” in my head about maybe it could be harmful. Fingers crossed that the addition of K2 mitigates the blockage expansion. Thank you!

People will say it's money. And it might be in some cases.
But I happen to think most doctors didn't get into their fields to harm patients. So I believe it is down to ignorance. And a big part of that ignorance is that leading medical organizations such as the AMA etc, are the ones that set the agendas and recommendations for doctors. Many doctors are quite busy, and so they rely heavily on the information from these medical bodies and journals to guide them. They might not have the time or desire to chase down this information themselves. As well, if they were to "go off the plantation" themselves instead of following what the leading medical licensing boards, journals, etc tell them is "teh science and recommended" items... they can leave themselves wide open for lawsuits. So they don't feel confident enough to do that, and instead fall back on what they're told.
That's why many of them truly don't know about chemical, hormonal, or natural connections surrounding health issues.
I've had good doctors of mine, literally tell me to "stop talking. don't tell me what you are doing" when I was able to actually drop a significant amount of weight, improve many blood markers, and be generally healthier than before by doing low-carb/keto and fasting. I was surprised because I thought they'd surely want to know what was working, so they could consider it for other patients in the same boat.
They KNOW whatever it is I've done IS working, but they are unwilling to acknowledge it because then they'd have to admit what they are being commanded to prescribe is a farce. And most doctors simply don't want to be put in the position of having their career ruined, licenses revoked, if they step out of line with what their governing bodies tell them to do.
It's a mess that starts from the top.

A very learned orthopedist told me to take D3 and vitamin K 2-mk7 and my bones would recalcify on their own and guess what, it worked. My bone density score went up from osteoporosis in the hip to normal bone density in two years. It pulled calcium out of my vascular system and put it back in my bones. I have a mammal meat allergy from Chronic Lyme disease. I eat lots of poultry and I love pickled beets, kimchi. I eat eggs. I have microclotting from long COVID, so I take one nattokinase a day. I cannot eat fermented soy, wish I could, but the taste and smell is too much for me. I am 78 and EVERYTHING YOU ARE SAYING IS ON THE MONEY. My cardiologist wants me to take a baby aspirin a day. She is uninformed about COVID microclotting. Threw a clot in February 2022 and survived. Everytime I go to see her I have peer reviewed research papers in hand. Not sure she reads them, but I am trying to inform her. Keep up the good work, you are saving lives!

I am only 57, but had a preeclampsia geriatric pregnancy that also involved gestational diabetes. Fast forward and I have developed Type 2 diabetes, although being a healthy weight, and high blood pressure. Thank you for this very important information. Could you also please speak on the statin drugs. I had a CABG in 2000. I was immediately put on Simvastatin and took it up until about 2 yrs ago. I began hearing all sorts of bad things about statins and did my own research. At my last visit with my cardiologist, he was going over my chart and noticed I hadn't called for a refill in a long time. He wasn't pleased, so he wrote a refill. I took them for about a week and stopped again. I think big pharma plays far too big a role in all of the garbage we're written prescriptions for.

Big pharma runs the medical industry. I too was placed on a Statin, Rosuvastatin. I did some research and found that the side effects certainly outweigh the benefit. My A1C also jumped from 5.9 to 6.8. I then read that Statins can cause type 2 Diabetes. I won't go into detail here on this platform but I tell you, the Pharma industry makes over a Trillion Dollars a year to keep us with the illusion that these drugs will make us better but it does just the opposite. In addition, research showed that a "daily aspirin regimen" was ineffective at preventing heart attack as originally thought. Has the medical guidance changed? no... Have they updated the aspirin bottle to say Risks include increased chance of MACD? no... Is there still a Billion dollar "daily aspirin" profitable business that cares not what the science says that runs commercials "Talk to your Dr. about a daily aspirin"... Those commercials are as much aimed at Dr's subliminal minds as it is yours... (no, Dr., you didn't see any research that shows that not only is a daily aspirin regimen ineffective at preventing heart disease, but it will likely cause Macular Degeneration to the prescribed cohort.) @@maryamkhn93 What will reduce the risk of calcification of arteries and help in bone mineralization is K2(MK4) from animal meat or butter. K2 (MK7) is a "fake" K2 from bacterial fermentation of soybean. Bacteria & soybean do not have blood nor bones.

That’s why my family eats grass fed beef, pasture raised eggs and cheeses like Munster and Gouda are also good. It’s great to have you sharing this information, there’s a lot of misleading information leading people to unhealthy food for I guess prosperity sake.

Very powerful discussion here! I just started taking D3/K2 after hearing about it from Huberman Labs. This discussion just adds fuel to that fire.

Thank you for sharing this information Dr. Jamnadas! My previous doctor prescribed Calcium and I was taking it until I read about Calcium clogging arteries.
I eliminated the Calcium supplements and continued taking D3 and K2.
Most of us get plenty of calcium in our diets, especially us vegans!
