I found this reading from Edger Cayce.. The reading hints at de-toxifying ......" such as oatmeal--€”let these be WELL-cooked. The steel cut oats are preferable to the rolled, and should be cooked for SEVERAL hours. The milk used with same should be heated a little, with cream and all, and then HONEY combined with same. A combination in this manner would make for an addition that would be MOST helpful to the body."€ [Reading 852-10]

I think we need to couch this in the context of: "why are you eating oats?". I think the answer for many people is either (a) "because they are an easy breakfast food" or (b) "because they are healthy". In this episode Paul did an excellent take down of the latter.
But I think so many people believe you can only eat foods in the morning that are considered breakfast in modern industrialized western context. It turns out this is total BS! My gut health, mood issues, migraines, skin etc have improved immeasurably by particularly changing my breakfast foods. Turns out yes you can absolutely eat ground beef with eggs and sour cream, or kefir/ yogurt with fruit/honey, steak, raw liver, etc at any time of the day! In my experience if you eat 50-60 grams of protein (or about 0.3g/lb body weight from these sources along with nearly as much fat say 40g and maybe 30g carbs you should feel quite satisfied, and actually be ready for the day. Unlike a BS bowl of oatmeal!

Ive learned not to listen to these youtube nutritional ‘experts’. In the last half an hour on YT Ive seen other influencers say meat is bad for you, fruit is bad for you, even exercise is bad for you! On the subject of oats when I used have oats for breakfast, I’d get gas, bloating and stomach cramps all morning and Id feel hungry an hour after eating them… UNTIL.. I started soaking them for 12 hours before consuming them, a complete and utter game changer. No more gas, bloating or cramps, and I feel full for hours.
Ive tried going completely carnivore - felt exhausted, dark circles and rock hard poo that I passed once a week, it got so bad I had to give myself an enema.

your feces isn't supposed to be super soft filled with nonsense surrounded by copious amounts of gas. Also, if you're pushing then you're doing it wrong. All you needed to do was increase your fat intake and let your body tell you when it's time to go not force it. I've had instances on carnivore where I didn't poop for almost 2 weeks. Didn't feel constipated, no bloating, no gas, just didn't have to go...until I did and it was nice and smooth despite being high volume. Typical evacuation for me is every 3 days despite eating about 2 pounds of meat a day and I'm not pooping 6 pounds worth of food either.
When you eat properly and give your body the nutrition it needs the instances of needing to dump waste greatly diminishes.

    • @aivarusk218
      @aivarusk218 11 місяців тому +3

@@charleshill1906 thats the thing… I wasnt forcing it or trying to push it out, the carnivore diet made me super constipated and when I did need to pass faeces the poo was so hard and dry it was extremely painful. And I WAS consuming plenty of animal fat. I followed the carnivore diet religiously and I felt exhausted, constipated and I ran out of steam very quickly when doing any kind of exercise.
I still eat lots of meat and organs but now I include fruit, honey, some whole grains and some veggies and I feel, look and perform 100X better than when I went pure carnivore. I guess it just doesn’t work for everyone.

I'm going to make a video about changing to a carnivore based diet. I started out just carnivore but then implemented fruits after discovering you. The main reason why I gave this a go was I had a major episode of depression and I didn't want to take SSRIs and rely on them. This was the first time I experienced this, and I heard a podcast from Dr Huberman which made me look into changing my diet to help. His guest said how a ketogenic diet helped may people with this and so I went down the rabbit hole and discovered carnivore. So far I feel a whole lot better and energy levels has improved tremendously. Thanks for doing what you do!

I got in my depression from a build up of traumatic events in my life, especially while I was a fire fighter. Trying to get out of this state, I looked into changing what I ate and it helped. Even if I were to go back to whatever, I seen the positive impact. It's hard to pinpoint what affects you if you eat sooo many different things, plants, grains, etc. This opened my mind when doing carnivore.

I remember I used to go to High Jump practice each week, and snack on almonds and a TON of dates, as a snack for energy. I would never feel that energized, and would leave training and feel shaky and weak and foggy brained the rest of the day. The dates would give a little energy spike but then leave me tired again within minutes. I tried this for years.
Then I stumbled upon oatmeal and honey. The very first time I tried that pre-workout, I felt a mental calmness and clarity and excitement to jump. I had a great bowel movement, and had so much confidence and energy during training. I wasn’t sluggish or foggy brained at all during the rest of the day. It was a MASSIVE energy and performance enhancer. No amount of fruit or even honey alone has had the same energy giving and sustaining effect, I’ve tested this many times.
Generally I stay away from oatmeal unless it’s pre workout, I get my calories from nuts and fatty meats.
So cool for Paul, but I disagree that this is for everyone.

You spoke about grains and cereals which reminded me of my childhood eating cereal and reading the box while I ate it. The words “fortified with” were always on the box. I’ve always wondered about the fortification process, like re they testing the grains before fortifying so they know how much to add, or is it uniform - no testing just adding whatever ratio they’ve determined are needed based on who knows what? If grains or so great for us, why do they need fortification in the first place? Also, how often are those cereal labels updated based on crop harvesting or is it just some historic number that’s been in the box of Frosted Flakes since I was a kid?

Hey Paul! Did the math on cadmium levels using the sources provided and I'd love a little more clariifcation if possible. if you are 150lbs/68kg a maximum amount of cadmium would be 375-750mcg/week and if we note the avg intake is 10-30 mcg per day that’s about 70-210 mcg/week. Even on the high end, I don't see the cadmium levels even near the "high amount" so I'm wondering if it's possible that either
    A. The "high levels" are simply misrepresented
    or
    B. Is it still possible to see adverse effects of cadmium consumption when the levels are so low
I know that no amount of cadmium is great but this would be helpful to understand.

The nutrient cycle is plants intake nutrition from the soil and water. Those heavy metals, toxins and other contaminants present in the soil and water pass onto the plant. Animals then consume plants which process out the bulk of those contaminants. Then humans consume the animals. By eating plants you're skipping that step and almost directly consuming the contaminants. Animals are the intermediary that protect humans through their upcycling and elimination of contaminants.

Hear, hear!!! I have not been able to eat many different vegetables over the last 20 years without massive cluster headaches within 48 hours of eating them. They also mess with my legs causing restless leg syndrome and head fog. After 72 hours, the inflammation disappears and I go back to normal.
I can't eat Avocados, chocolate, quinoa, broccoli, peanuts, oatmeal, chia seeds, tomatoes, and the list continues to grow.

The thing that’s hard to unsee or ignore are the studies of longevity and those living longest have a largely plant-based diet with minimal meat. Trust me, I’m a carnivore, but I’m not seeing any information tying a meat-based diet to longevity. How should I reconcile that?

    My lifestyle habits
    • Only drink and cook with distilled water (removes 99.9% of contaminants from water leaving just H2O) (Two Megahome 316 deluxe distillers (£180 each) - 4 litres each = 8 litres in 5 hours (every day/ every other day at 550 watts each = around £50 per month electric cost)) - municipal water is treated with chlorine, fluoride and synthetic vitamins, also unless the water is distilled it can’t remove toxins such as heavy metals, medications (such as agricultural run-off; antibiotics, hormones, vaccines etc.) and medications urinated by other people which includes ototoxic medications), microplastics, bacteria, viruses, salts, atrazine (study showed male frogs exposed to atrazine grew ovaries and could bear offspring) etc. (it is estimated there could be more than 50000 different chemicals in municipal water). Plastic from bottled water can leach into the water and is also non-distilled except nestle smart water but is in plastic and has agents added which are mentioned next
    • Chlorine (chloride) (swimming pools, municipal water, bottled water), fluoride (toothpaste, municipal water, bottled water), salt (diet, ocean, municipal water, bottled water), synthetic calcium (calcium carbonate (chalk)) (synthetic vitamins, toothpaste, white flour, municipal water, bottled water) are calcifying agents which means they accumulate deposits in the pineal gland which is located in the center of the brain and is responsible for producing and secreting melatonin (energy levels and sleep) and I would also say mental lucidity and so I avoid these sources to avoid these agents
    www.google.com/search?sxsrf=AB5stBiA0Wr2Hf2PaIFPFUPnSs10kwJ8Gg:1688720849484&q=calcified+pineal+gland&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj7xu6yn_z_AhUvUkEAHdIdCdMQ0pQJegQICRAB&biw=1454&bih=610&dpr=0.94#imgrc=Rcox7ea_899gRM
Don’t put anything on skin that you wouldn’t consume because skin just absorbs it into system -
    • Don’t use any chemicals
    • Wash with distilled water (small bowl and flannels), wash hair by leaning forward into a big glass mixing bowl and scratching/ massaging head, I brush teeth with oral-b pro 3 electric toothbrush without toothpaste and humble co plant-based floss picks, wash hands with distilled water
    • Use IKEA natural rubber gloves (£1 each) when working with municipal water, if get any on skin I rub it off on my clothes
    • Wash clothes the old fashion way - repeatedly squeeze it in a bowl with distilled water or collected rainwater which is distilled water (evaporates to gas state leaving contents on the ground then falls as pure water), to remove stains I use a scrubbing brush. Every while wash clothes in washing machine with Nellie’s laundry soda and Dettol laundry cleanser, rinse cycle, then wash in distilled water. Don’t wash bed linin and just turn inside out after one month then replace with new ones every 2 - 3 months. I use a £3 cotton sheet to go over the top of my sheet and lay on that so it preserves the under sheet and the £3 one can be replaced more frequently cheaply. Duvets washed at laundrettes
    • Only use pure cotton clothing (or pure wool) and pure cotton bed-linen because plastic (polyester, nylon, polyamide etc.) off-gasses (chemicals released as gas) which enter the body (I use; M&S 10.5 tog duck feather double duvet with cotton outer, M&S firm duck feather pillows with cotton outer, in summer soak and sleep 2.5 tog pure cotton double duvet, amazon NIYS cotton sheet king £14 (I use mattress suspenders to hold it on), amazon linens world cotton duvet cover double with two pillow cases £20) (take linen with oyu if go to hotel)
    Reducing stress and blood pressure
    • Mindfulness moments of stopping for periods of deeper breathing and checking in with heart beat and blood flow
    • Slowing down thought - maybe try thinking or talking like Severus Snape from Harry Potter or agent Smith from the matrix: clear, calm and calculated
    Fasting every so often
    • Eat last meal early then don’t eat again until same time next day
    • Fasting makes the body go into autophagy where cells that are dysfunctional undergo ‘pruning’ and processes that are unnecessary are put on hold because the body prioritizes survival
    • (Consult with doctor if necessary and increase calorie intake so to not lose weight)
    Exercise
    • Jogging, light-weight exercises
    • Helps with feeling tired to promote sleep and feel-good chemicals to improve mental health
    Diet
    • Try to eat only organic whole foods (free from pesticides and in case of animal products antibiotics and hormones)
    • Don’t eat fish because of heavy metals, microplastics and fluoride content
    • Don’t eat added sugar or sugary foods or added salt or salty foods
    • Use distilled water and wipe cooking-ware, plates and bowls with a tea towel before using and wipe cutlery with a tea towel to get soap film off before using which can damage gut lining and kill microbiome
    • Use glass cup/ mug, use BPA free plastic for water bottles and food containers (sistema) and use PTFE/ teflon and PFOA free cooking-ware (procook professional ceramic)
    • I have noticed in the past some foods can have an associated effect (such as heavy metals or calcifying agent), because of this to try new foods I take a small bite and wait an hour and don’t eat at restaurants
    Blue light
    • Minimize/ eliminate blue light exposure which is strong enough to damage the eyes and suppress melatonin production which prevents sleep (bright tells circadian rhythm its sunrise/ daytime and time to produce energy)
    • Use a low lumen projector (ViewSonic M1 mini (120 lumens)) with settings on low brightness and orange tint
    • Put night light mode on laptop
    • Wear orange tinted blue light blocking glasses (UVEX skyper with a pair of no cry over the top)
    • Put night light mode on phone and use anti-blue light tempered glass screen cover
    Sleep
    • No blue light sources one hour before bed
    • Don’t sleep with phone by bed/ put it furthest away or turn it off or on flight mode
    • Turn off electricals that don’t need to be on and don’t sleep with head on side of the bed next to a wall because electrics are interpreted by the brain the same way that light is and so it’s like trying to sleep with a light on
    • Sleep with a fan (EasyAcc mini)

Drinking distilled water is completely devoid of minerals we need to live, and will inevitably kill you. Rainwater is full of all kinds of stuff too, like glyphosate, Blue light glasses do NOT help with eyesight. Microplastics are in a lot more than fish, they are even found in your lungs and blood. Found in fruits, beer, etc. see; national geographic, There are good restaurants but not if your really cheap or paranoid. Home cooking is best though.
