About overhealing engies: if you stay near a dispenser your overheal won't decay even if the medic is no longer healing you. This allows engineers to potentially stay buffed at 185 HP forever, or at least slow down the overheal decay rate. I think it's a recent addition, and a good one too

One of these things is not like the other. One of these things just doesn't belong. Can you tell me thing is not like the other before I finish my soonngg.
My added tip: If you see an Engineer who doesn't have, or isn't using, a Rescue Ranger then be sure to stick around him to help fend off possible threats when he grabs his buildings and moves them to a different location. Yes, he can always just plop down what ever he's carrying to switch to his guns to defend himself but the added fire power can mean the difference between a living Engi or a dead Engi.
Even though I don’t really play tf2 anymore, I still watch your videos because they are fun, well made, and I have a deep love for engineer and supporting a team. Keep doing what your doing man
I loved the “SPAH SAPPIN mah SENTREE” line so much while playing jack box I made a joke of it and even bought a TEE K O shirt I did of a really crappy engie getting backstabbed while yelling the line. It will be here in 2-3 weeks
This video is a godsend. Playing engineer (especially in pubs) is made a lot harder, just because teammates tend to have the mentality of "Eh, that guy's got an unusual, he doesn't need help" or something like that. Or maybe they just want to get sick frags and don't have time for helping their friendly neighborhood sentry man. Maybe this video will help motivate and inform them enough to actually help. Maybe. Probably not.
Thank you SO much for making this. As an engineer main it is helpful to get these things out in the open so people don’t yell at us when our sentry gets destroyed.
The enemie engi:*Having great teammates projecting his sentry* Me as an engineer:*having a bunch of teammates thinking for them self* This is an example 3:55
Amazingly enough, Ankle Dane here is the entire reason I don’t hate playing Engi anymore Originally he was my least played class because I couldn’t keep buildings alive and started getting mad, but now this guy’s tutorials are making me like playing Engi more, thanks for that
honestly i feel like anyone whos ever played engi can agree that uncle danes tip of upgrading teleporters at spawn basically like revolutionised setting up cause its kind of crazy how much that it happens basically just because uncle dane said it and it spread around so much
But as a Medic main, I can say that the banana contract is one of the best thing that has happened during Jungle Inferno, Gaben bless the "0/30 second banana given to a teammate"
5:05 i think a more apropriate description would be the sentry nests are the last line of defence. if the front line is killed or collapses inwards it is a line of respite where you can fall back, recover and push forwards. if the nest falls then any damage to the line is a terminal opening and a succesful enemy push is inevitable. protect your engies. and don't be a fool.
3:18 YES! This is one of the many reasons that the mad milk is my favorite weapon, it's so useful in helping your team, even outside of the health gain! Scouts, from one main to another, use the mad milk. (And don't just use it for yourself, JERRY!)
Yea, I like using it unless the team needs help with dealing with sentries. In that case bonk and trying to take the responsibility of creating team work. Generally need to explicitly mention at some point along the lines of "Hey, I'm using bonk. If you see a scout run into a sentry and not get immediately deleted, try to get a few shots in!" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does work, it's great though.

Keep doing what your doing man
JakeCo Video Company get out now
3:57 i almost cried😢😭
mentally disturbed lama DAAANEEEE
DAAAAAAAANNNNNNEEEE!!!!!!!
I loved the “SPAH SAPPIN mah SENTREE” line so much while playing jack box I made a joke of it and even bought a TEE K O shirt I did of a really crappy engie getting backstabbed while yelling the line. It will be here in 2-3 weeks
Do you still have the shirt?
This video is a godsend. Playing engineer (especially in pubs) is made a lot harder, just because teammates tend to have the mentality of "Eh, that guy's got an unusual, he doesn't need help" or something like that. Or maybe they just want to get sick frags and don't have time for helping their friendly neighborhood sentry man. Maybe this video will help motivate and inform them enough to actually help.
Maybe.
Probably not.
*+A Dude 601* That's why I don't wear Unusuals. Yeah, that's totally the only reason...

Uncle dane makes me feel so fucking *smart*
258th Hi Guy brain smartness *video*
Thank you SO much for making this. As an engineer main it is helpful to get these things out in the open so people don’t yell at us when our sentry gets destroyed.
The enemie engi:*Having great teammates projecting his sentry*
Me as an engineer:*having a bunch of teammates thinking for them self*
This is an example 3:55
"projecting his sentry" is so funny for some reason
The quickly changing to engineer to remove the sapper yourself does not work on maps with multiple spawn routes
I mean it does, just has some RNG mechanics to it.... lol
@@tylerbreau4544 I don't even play tf2 anymore lol
Thought Uncle Dane's making a Video about Tiny Desk Engineer
Amazingly enough, Ankle Dane here is the entire reason I don’t hate playing Engi anymore
Originally he was my least played class because I couldn’t keep buildings alive and started getting mad, but now this guy’s tutorials are making me like playing Engi more, thanks for that
*Upgrading a friendly engineer's tele at spawn*
*Puts a toe on the tele*
*Gets teleported*
this is why i use the eureka effect
I laughed really hard at this video, especially the "Texan to English" bit. Dane, thank you for this public service to our community.
"I've been playing this game for about 5 years now"
Holy shit have I really been playing this game for longer than he has?
i've been playing for like 7 years and i still suck at the game
@@Nieveria It hit me like a brick that I've been playing tf2 for 13 years the moment he said that
honestly i feel like anyone whos ever played engi can agree that uncle danes tip of upgrading teleporters at spawn basically like revolutionised setting up cause its kind of crazy how much that it happens basically just because uncle dane said it and it spread around so much
The video where uncle Dane got sick of people not helping him defend.
shahaman noodah Honestly if i would too , god dam playing engie gives me more stress then i need.
Rune Thief
Trust me I can't play engi when my team doesn't help each others.
that is why i play pyro
finally, I love It when people upgrade the teles, especially when I play engie

I am hoovy sandvich guy and this is my sandvich
Tip for spies: when you hear 6 “YEEEEEEEEEEEE HAW”s that means there is around 20 engies all turtling there and 6 of them doing the yee haw taunt
*Includes paid promotion*
Ankle dan is a veri gud paying man
hah u get less like
Dude ur everywhere

3:58 this part was heartbreaking
No one ever needs to refill their crossbow
JakChap actually i needed once
“From the hissing of his sapper to the unmistakable screams of your teammates”
Me as a spy: *laughs in Your Eternal Reward*
Congrats Uncle! Even though this video is really old, it has ads!
Edit: Autocorrect changed ads into ass
Ass looks better than ads tbh
@@xeanderman6688 XD
Should’ve kept it
4:23 It was at this moment he knew....
*He fucked up.*
Notice the one Hoovy that is part of the meat shield.
"Your pocket medic"
*IM SORRY WHAT*
When I am low as medic, heavy always eat his sandwich.
*Best teammate*
But as a Medic main, I can say that the banana contract is one of the best thing that has happened during Jungle Inferno, Gaben bless the "0/30 second banana given to a teammate"

I don't even play TF2 anymore but damn, Dan The gud sentry man's videos are so well done and entertaining that little me cannot stop
Now if we could only get every TF2 player to watch this....
Knowing how to play the game properly isn't being a tryhard.
I love watching Uncle Dane and right after watch Mr. Paladin. (Uncle Dane the engi Main and Mr. Paladin the spy main)
Fun fact:
Spah sappin mah sentreh means in french "i would love to have a baguette in my back"
Taste really?
King Alpaca of course
Why do you think spy try to backstab you just after saying that?
Taste, it is Engie's love call.
._.
XD
i was watching this in the middle of the night, and well it was about 3AM and all i hear is"SPAH SAPPIN MAH SENTRAH!"
NkoPixelz I don’t speak Texan what does this mean
Alex Smith "There is a Spy near me, please assist me in removing this threat." I see you are not fluent in Texan, my non-Texan friend
3:18 YES! This is one of the many reasons that the mad milk is my favorite weapon, it's so useful in helping your team, even outside of the health gain!
Scouts, from one main to another, use the mad milk.
(And don't just use it for yourself, JERRY!)
fucking jerry
Yea, I like using it unless the team needs help with dealing with sentries. In that case bonk and trying to take the responsibility of creating team work.
Generally need to explicitly mention at some point along the lines of "Hey, I'm using bonk. If you see a scout run into a sentry and not get immediately deleted, try to get a few shots in!"
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does work, it's great though.
Please support your local engineer with these tips. Thank you

Hey! So this video teached me to play engineer class WAY better, also other classes so thank you!
