Hey Dane, I know that you're probably never gonna see this but I thought I'd say it anyway. Thank you! Thank you for showing people that engi can be more than the turtling gibus. Whenever my sentry gets destroyed, I'm not like "damnit my sentry is gone!" I'm like "shit i have to get another one up before I completely screw over my team"
I agree heavily with your sentiments here, Dane. You have to be ready to take your buildings go down, and your sentry only getting one kill before a demoman pops up to kill you. My biggest issue is that my team constantly demands I build them a dispenser for heals, or I get a teleporter up, but when one spy comes in and saps the teleporter I'm too far away from to save, they immediately demand another one. It's that the team constantly demands me to do my job, but then don't do anything to make my job easier. In truth, you start asking yourself: "Why SHOULD I build a teleporter if that one spy is just going to sap it before I can save it?" or "Why should I manage having to maintain a dispenser when they will let one suicide pyro just come in and destroy it?" I play a lot of medic, and there I feel I have more power because no matter what, if I switch off people will beg me to go back to medic. With engineer, the mindset it hard to get into, because no one respects his role.
the last time I played medic I got vote kicked for leaving a heavy to save him from a spy... So the medic lifestyle can suck but if you have fun healing your team and sometimes getting a ledgendary crossbow shot from across the map saving that one random soldier that was close to death and then receiving a free hat for that awesome save then he is the class for you as a medic main I can agree that things aren't glamorous for the medic but we should try to play other classes like scout or soldier so we can get a task done that only that one class can do so for example let's say there's a sentry nest and you can be whatever class to deal with it but you can go demo soldier spy and medic to try to deal with it and you won't succeed at first but if you change up the plan a little you can do anything with any class (but if you want to main medic I'd always play tf2 with a friend so when you find that nest your friend can go soldier and use your uber to destroy the nest)

Your point at 8:00 makes total sense to me, and I think helps explain why I gravitate to Medic over Engie. I much prefer having one problem to work on at a time, and become paralyzed when too many things are happening at once.
It's not well known, but dispensers actually reduce the wear-off of debuffs such as ignite, milk, wet, marked for death, jarate, and bleed. Essetially you only need a medic and a lvl 1 dispenser to keep your team alive. Medics don't have the ability to quickly remove debuffs, but that's why they're good healers. A QF med and a lvl 1 dispenser can do a lot for your team.
That conclusion really hit home, I used to just blast myself up in the air and call it a rocket jump, now I naturally use rocket jumps almost all the time.
Uncle Dane! With respect I tell you that your speeches Must be presented to students in schools as an educational videos for playing TF2! Especially for new players. Or Valve should make such thing as presenting your videos to the new players, for example a guy want to download tf2 for the first time, and he must watch at least 3 of your videos about what tf2 is, before playing casual! If it could be real, tf2 would have probably been alive!)

Being made to touch the lead physician's scrotum on your first day is actually a customary hazing tradition in medical practitioner culture.

the cart was right there i think he was confused how the team just wasnt doing anything
The only thing you need in your head playing engi is a constant and infinite chain of SPAH in your head coupled with the ability to never waste metal
What are yah doing James? Come on man.
OMG IS UNCLE DANE THE ENGIE MAIN LITERALLY TURTLING AT 6:27?!!!! I CANT STAND IT IM CRYING RIGHT NOW
That isn't acutely the worst idea, having tutorial videos like this, instead of the shitty tutorials you get in TF2 would be amazing.
DrIvanRadosivic Valve making *ANY* tutorials is needed.
as someone who wants likes playing medic and heavy, finding engi is super fun, and knowing how to semi effectively use his is super helpful, thanks pardner
NINESIX
every single time I watch one of your videos it feels like I just finished a full class and suddenly want to play tf2 all day

After just losing a defense payload match where we got in an “unbalanced” situation (we got pushed back to our spawn point in a manner of SECONDS), this was exactly what I needed to hear as an Engi main. Thanks!
I don't need sleep
Not gonna lie. If you did more than tutorials you could blow up. You've got the OG UA-cam name, the skill, the editing experience, and the jokes.
