RE: inanimate object alters
Not sure if it counts but we have a lake. And when she fronts it's kind of like physically passing out because of a circulartory collapse. So there will be ears ringing and extreme dizziness and we have to lie down to recover but we've also had times where we didn't take the hint and just. Passed out and fell flat on our face so that's fun. I think it's kind of a protective mechanism to like. Just have us loose consciousness. That's a thing we've talked to another system they have an alter with that function too. But I don't know if it's something that's just about, inanimate object alters, it's just our experience. But I could imagine a rock alter being completely frozen when fronting? But honestly I have no idea.

That reminds me of a question I had.
I think you are familiar with these really strange stories about a German or Russian or ... who's never been to France( or another country)
and doesn't speak French but suddenly she can because of a alter . These urban legends are appearing from time to time and are probably greatly exaggerated but at what extend could it be true?

I love the story about the one alter (can’t remember their name, my auditory comprehension is crap) army crawling to the bathroom because he’s SO DETERMINED to go to the bathroom on his own. Shows great determination and dedication, as well as how a potentially stressful situation can be kind of hilarious in the aftermath lol
It just reminds me of my alter Grey, who is a velociraptor, trying to figure out how to eat toast without anybody being suspicious lmao

Omg, I’m sure that’s really stressful at the time but that sound really funny, I can se it in front of me, like an old tunes kind of animation.🤣 Reminds me of the story of my grandma being on her way to the toilet (outside the house and uphill) in the winter and in the middle of the night. The ground was frozen and she slipped, fell into the split and just glided down the hill. Must have been painful but I would love to see it happen tbh.🤣🤣🤣

I really enjoyed this video, being a singlet myself I liked the idea of giving the opportunity to another singlet to ask everything they wanted to know about DID cause we can barely understand how it's like to live with a disorder like that but you provided great analogies and explanations (I already knew most of the things but I was still curious). I just wanted to point out the right term is psychosomatic, in biology somatic refers to those cells and traits that aren't reproductive so it's usually used to describe a visible trait or a biological response; psychosomatic instead is how you explained the way the somatic cell reacts to a certain mental situation. A easy example that singlets can experience as well (especially if hypochondriac) is the body having sickness symptoms cause the brain is convinced to be sick but there's no microbe that actually infected the body and yet the symptoms are real. I hope I didn't sound rude or anything by writing these informations you probably knew all this already but maybe that minor error slipped you still explained the meaning in the right way.

I have three inanimate alters. I was so happy that was brought up because I hadn't heard of anyone else who has them or knew about them. This means I hid them away feeling doubt that they were legit and of course shame & guilt for "making it up". I have more self-acceptance after this interview thanks!
If you feel comfortable sharing,what happens when those alters front because we don't have any inanimate alters in our system and we are curious what happens
Hi! Plushie (stuffed animal) here to talk about our experience a bit! We have a few plushies. We are sentient, we experience emotion, talk, walk, have personalities, needs, stress tolerances, etc. I was the first plushie to form. For me I spent most of our life as a fragment who was only co-con to "soak up" the emotions associated to the trauma. And, once I ended up taking on the role of home host and was in charge of communication, I was extremely upset about not having a form. It took 6 months. I knew I was nonhuman, had a connection to fennec foxes, lemurs, and spots. I always felt like the body was WAY bigger then I am, lost balance constantly bc the bodies legs felt way too long, and would always feel super disconnected from our legs and arms. And then I experimented with a plushie character and it just clicked for very personal reasons. Lots of trauma tied to it, but finally having my own identity gives me power. As I remembered and confronted trauma (failed *miserably*) more formed and now we have a subsystem of plushies, a fox, and a slime girl. Lots of comfort alters. The slime is co-con rn. I have so, so much to share but I don't want to write an essay in youtube comments.

Thank you, Prophet, Kaleb, and Max. I think Kaleb is just so typical of so many of us who are NOT systems, but are rather afraid of what a system may be like. Too many foregone conclusions and expectations and assumptions. Keep doing what you're doing to educate those of us who look from the outside in.

Yes it's great to have so many systems willing to vlog, each with their own topics and approach. It helps us tremendously.
My theory is that because things like allergies and such are processed in certain parts of brain, and the brain separates (through amnesia) to form the different alters, the different biology like that is just due to how the genes are processed in the brain and where. So one alter has the part that registers an allergy, while the other are unaffected if not slightly based on where their part is located. Don’t know if that right and can’t fact check right now. Also love you guys! Hope all the couples are doing well and y’all are happy and healthy in this crazy time. Smoke some green and stay safe man 🤟🏼
I’d like to add that it can also be due to a nonhuman or humanoid alter. Your brain is going to try to cope with the switch by replicating what your brain believes would happen if that alter was in the external world by adjusting the biochemistry to fit the alter
You mentioned something that was interesting, but I don't know if I understood - so Systems who have had to be covert, do not experience drastic changes in health, vision and so on?
hi, we're an OSDD-1b system so we don't even have the amnesia barriers, but our alters are still very differentiated. However, it's hard for us to display those differences fully when we're out. Most of us, especially those who front more frequently, are used to playing the same person. We went 21 years not knowing we were a system and now half a year later it can still be hard to override that instinct to play the part.
this probably isn't exactly what you were asking about, but I think it makes sense that we don't have drastic physical changes cause they would stand out too much when we were living as a singlet. I wonder though if this will change as we live openly as a system for longer. There might be some physical changes that will manifest when we feel safe enough for that.

im not a system or a psychologist so this is just a guess, but feel like that probably depends a lot on the system and their environment. since DID is basically just a really complex coping mechanism, most of the aspect of it depend a lot on the system's environment. so i imagine that if youre in a situation where being paralyzed from the waist down could get you hurt further, a paralyzed alter might only be paralyzed in the inner world. but if the system somehow subconsciously felt like theyd be safer if they were paralyzed, that disability would be more likely effect the body. but thats just my theory as someone whos only been looking into DID for a couple years and has no actual qualifications lol
Sorry for a long response! We're newly diagnosed but we've noted that how we front usually depends on the situation that we're in and our own personal characteristics.
For example, we have a mute alter who uses ASL to communicate if necessary. That doesn't change whether they're fronting or in our headspace.
The body also has medical ailments that each alter adjusts themselves to. Some need glasses to see anything, others don't.
However, the majority of our protectors are very good at imitating our previous host's speech & humor depending on who is around & if we're comfortable.

Aether system I know has a full developed language that some alters speak while others don't.

The Aether system has a language that some alters speak called Aetherian and I'm pretty sure they made a video that is completely in Aetherian with English subtitles

At what extent is this possible you think? Because often it didn't seem like the alter was fronting often or that the person knew he had DID

I have been learning about DID for years now and it started just because I was curious. But then I started to relate to some of the symptoms and the list of relative things has grew and grew and grew, except amnesia. Or at least, I think anyway; I forget to do so many things all the time, I can't remember a lot of my childhood and friends tell me things we've done together while I'm sat there like ????? but I'm anxious and put it down to bad memory. I've been denying it every time I think "you got DID/OSDD1" I shut it down, but only when it gets overwhelming. And then the next day I look back on it and think "hm, suspicious" and the whole thing starts again.
ANYWAY, the biggest thing I have trouble with is remembering trauma. But the biggest and earliest thing is when I flat-lined, when I was 1 years old. I've had asthma since I was too young for them to diagnose it. My whole life I'd forget I had asthma, until I'd be wheezing or out of breath. I had no idea about my nde until I was 16 and my mum told me after it almost happened again. I look back on the time when I was 16 and almost have panic attacks but it never hit me until today just how I must have felt at 1 going through that. It's horrifying, not being able to breathe. ( reading this back i remembered another point i had. i've had mental health issues since i was 10, but things seriously plummeted when i was 16 and found out about my NDE after almost having another one. two years later i started looking into DID. )
I've felt like I was being over-imaginative for years about this (I still do. I smoke weed every day too so I pin it on that too sometimes but UGH it makes sense but NO haha NOPE im shakin) because I relate to system's whose communication is Brilliant and they've worked so hard and it takes time. I don't know I lost my original point. I've always talked to myself, it was more prominent for me than most of the other kids when I was younger and I've never grown out of it. And I don't mean talking to yourself like 'get milk', I'll have full blown conversations with differing views. I've always put it down to indecisive-ness, maybe it is.
wow this is long, i'm sorry for ranting i don't know if any of it even made sense. it's not really related to the video much (soz again) but i just needed to get this out to people who would understand instead of making "ha what if? NAH" jokes to myself.

Personally a singlet, but I feel like one of the ways that helped me understand DID was via a phrase I heard a lot as a kid 'G-d doesn't give us more than we can handle.' While I no longer proscribe to institutional beliefs, the leading theory that DID arises in individuals who experience repeated childhood trauma (and either an innate or learned propensity to dissociate) helps me understand how individual personalities/people/fragments arise. Because systems occur when the body encounters experiences which no single person should ever encounter and no child should ever deal with.
idk... DID, when referenced, is so often used as a horror motif in media; but, the more I learn about it the more enamored I am by the way the brain attempts to save and liberate itself. Which is not to say that these attempts make life easier; but rather the more I learn the more I expand my understanding of what is possible... and expand how fascinating the human condition and experience truly is. Sorry for the rambling... :(

i kearned that allergies can be a thing for different alters. i didnt think it went that deep. or the disability thing. its interesting and terrifying to think you could one day wake up being 'paralized' because your inner body is and being out and not understanding why you dont have your wheelchair right there. or you could be one person having meal and an alter can front and have a serious allergy to an ingredient that was in the meal.

Can there be no alter in the body at one point like during a long switch?
I have had moments like that a lot! It's a little different from our usual dissociations cuz at that time it's usually two or three of us co conscious at a time but none of us will have the power to actually come up front. But in some moments, like we'd be walking somewhere and everything is black. We'd still be walking or continuing whatever we were doing, but when it's finally light, we don't know what has happened or what we've done in that time
Question: Since energy can never be destroyed and time is a man- made construct, is it a fair assumption that the alter is already in existence and is somehow called upon by the mind to become known to the brain/body that needs it for specific purposes? Does it then evolve within? or separately? I'm not personally living with DID, but I suspect I know someone close who does. I'm not sure how to approach the subject with them because I don't think they've sought medical assistance out of fear.
About inanimate objects, like rocks: I work with crystals and am able to go into them with my mind. I have done this with many crystals and met crystal beings as I call them. Each crystal is it's own world with it's own culture of people, many of which look like extraterrestrials.

I wish! The dream world is a completely different thing. I can’t even enter the inner world at all yet.
For some systems, they end up in the inner world during sleep, but that’s not always the case

@@AcrylicAndAether so i could be way off here but in another vid you said the inner world has a different atmosphere and oxygen is a solid. Is it possible that this atmosphere was created by the brain to keep up the amnesia barriers? If so I'm thinking you would need a key to get in, metaphorically speaking so perhaps your alter that creates and maintains the robots in your inner world could make you a breathing apparatus that would turn oxygen (the solid) into gas oxygen that you could breath as a key for you to get in and exist there as well as in the attic. Am i way way off here?! I feel like probably but there has to be a way to get in and have more open access to the systems mind as a whole. Idk, my mind has been trying to work it out since i watched that video. Also, i have a blue thing for hollow but idk how to send it and i did see you guys have some unboxing videos. What info do i need or where do i find that?

🤔Hmm, experience with non human alters. Well, I'm not sure if it counts, but we have an inanimate alter known as the visualization subroutine. It doesn't speak and shows little capacity for independent cognition. However, it is capable of generating anything from the inner world in a projected overlay to the real world vision processing relay in the system's brain. It's not a completely subservient system, but it handles most requests without complainants.
So I hope I'm not being rude, but are you guys (Acrylic Chaser + Aether) partner systems, or have alters dating across systems?
