@@ember2441 Thank you for reminding me that at the rate my sister is growing, she will be stealing my clothes in a few months. (She's a good egg, really, and anything I actually care about isn't to her taste.)
My youngest sibling is 7 and I already know I'm going to be the shortest in the family. 3 younger brothers and a sister who is not quite a Sasquatch, but definitely a contrast from my undersized self. I can practically feel the height comparisons when we're all adults

We also collect a lot of clothes, I love seeing the other alters have their stuff and build their style honestly! There used to be this clothing exchange thing right next to our home so a lot of the first alter clothes we got, they're from there! It was the best thing ever, sadly it closed! I might make a video like this someday too, definitely will give you a shot out!

Honestly this video made me realize that some of the clothes that I thought were community clothes had definitely been claimed by some of my alters lmao
When Lars was hidding and before we knew we have DID we would always find like men's shirts and random vintage Alexander McQueen skirts (I didn't even know it was a designer brand but he has been a fan since we were little kids) all over our house. To this day I still find random stuff he buys, and can pin point other random fashion moments on others now lol.

For us, the protectors have instituted a system of "anyone can wear whoever else's clothes, nothing is exclusive to one of you idiots" but there's definitely some clothes that are most commonly or only worn by a certain alter (ie. a grey jacket everyone thinks is ugly except Bones, a red shirt only Tommy ever wears or makes outfits out of, and some jewelry that some of us wear consistantly that can signal who's out since nobody else wears them)

if anyone likes keeping their things on hangers there's the "magic closet hangers" so you can store more together. like place hangers on the thing and it hangs off one side so it all lines more down instead of across. plus there's those vacuum sealable bags, come in handy for under bed storage if there's very little room.

God I have so many clothes that belong to certain alters but the others absolutely hate those clothes.. 'Indecent' is the overwhelming opinion of many of them. I love them though *sigh*.
I don't wear or own any black items unless there's no other option. Imagine buying everything black you own in brown, navy, dark wine and green. Even eyeliner
I'm impressed at the system cohesion, and the memory you have that you can remember everyone's name, let alone recognize their items. Again, I'm new to this channel, but... I am impressed. I'm one of 8 and it's really overwhelming.

As a tiny system(to my knowledge, we're somewhere in between 4 and 10 alters including me), I can completely relate to random things just showing up or disappear although I have a tendency to do weird things and have discovered I(or more accurately we as I'm not sure if it's me or one of the others or some combination of the two) have a tendency to do all sorts of things like do serious harm to the body or throw things during our worst nightmares(which I can't remember) while sound asleep which I then discover in the morning upon waking up. I really only figured out about the nightmare tendency in highschool and as a result of that along with other things, not only do things randomly appear but they also randomly disappear. I'm still confused as to where some stuff that has been missing since highschool like a book or two has disappeared to and I graduated in 2017.
I hope you can find more cohesion and cooperation soon. I'm a little concerned how you just throw in there that someone will do serious harm to the body, and then go back to loosing objects. I just wanna say I'm here for you if you think there is anything this internet stranger could do to help. Be strong.
Also, you've made me rethink things I lost as a child. I actually organized my siblings for a search party for one baby doll I could not find anywhere. I'm disorganized, but I practically mourned this doll. And the broken charm and... Those are all the ones I remember loosing now, but that doesn't mean that's the end of it
We've definitely gotten better since then and most of the serious harm was done in highschool after/during periods of time where we had highly stressful situations occur resulting in lifelong damage to the body or flashbacks to our trauma that caused us to be a system but only at night or the one time when I lost control of my temper and did something stupid so I wasn't ever really phased by it. I just instead did things to prevent me from waking up in the mornings without injuries I didn't have when I went to bed like pad everything I couldn't remove from my sleeping area(as I chose to sleep in my closet and floor at different points to try to deal with the anxiety behind the nightmares). Based off of what I know about the self harm bit, I don't believe it was ever intentional but rather a reaction to a nightmare/flashback that was occurring while I was asleep so we may have accidentally switched several times or it may have been me as I do sleep like the dead when my PTSD(that's from after highschool) isn't going untreated/flaring up on top of having a really high pain tolerance but it's something that will probably remain a mystery. During that time, I also knew only about one other in my system and absolutely nothing about did or the others in my system so my assumption was it was just my nightmares causing an extremely violent reaction so I woke up with injuries like broken or bruised bones instead of cuts or other visible injuries other than the bruises. I honestly react with logic not emotions to most things which I know isn't always a good thing and I am able to deal with extreme amounts of pain with ease and have done so which means I've accidentally done a lot of damage as well either by reinjuring myself or by being able to ignore the pain until I've done more damage when I either can't ignore it any longer or finally got someone to deal with it properly, if not both so injuries don't bother me at all even if I'd prefer to avoid them

We've always been in therapy with a temporary break when something happens and I need to find a new one but I know I have a tendency to concern people with how causal I can be concerning injuries or poking fun at myself

I'm a singlet (neurodivergent), but I'm pretty sure if a psychiatrist could look at my wardrobe without knowing me their first think probably would be "High chance this person has a lot of alters". I have so many different types of clothing, and also super masculine and hyper feminine stuff in there. More of the stuff I have I wore just a couple of times and yes, I should try to sell a lot of items, but I always question "but WHAT IF someday I would like to dress like that and I don't have anything close to it?" LOL. Thinking it's better now that I can't spend money on clothes cause me and my girlfriend are so poor we hardly manage the money lo pay bills and food (for us and our 5 cats plus one that we just found a week ago but we still don't know if he can stay with us :( ).
