I know you’ve said before that Devon and Parsifal viewed the body’s family as their family. Does Xavier also feel that way since he was part of the original core?
For mapping the system, couldn't you use genealogy software? Should fit the bill like a glove. ;)
Yeaah that's a really good idea, i know of GenoPro which is the program I use for my work
The dilemma with that is that it is conceptually locked in to a root system, when psychological reality may be more like a rhizome. (A continuously growing horizontal underground stem which puts out lateral shoots and adventitious roots at intervals.) Rhizomes have starbursts and parallelograms and intertwine and double back on themselves. Building on the essence of your suggestion, if it happens that it doesn't fit genealogy neatly, there is flowchart software that can handle loopbacks and inter-related shapes.

@@lllevokelll Good point there, I guess I got a bit too focused on the use of "core" in their situation. Though, it is always possible to set "brain" as the common ancestor. ;)
However, as you correctly note there are some interconnections and aspects that (usually) isn't possible in genealogy software. As such flowcharts might indeed fit the bill better. Thanks for reminding me about that.

I knew I was not the core even before I knew I was a host of the system. About 12 years ago I decided to learn how to draw. One of the exercises was to get into kind of hypnotic state and to draw whatever your subconscious wants. It wanted to draw "the core" - a spine made of a fire tornado. The source of all internal energy. I just knew what it was and never doubted it existence, it's more real to me than let's say Argentina where I have never been. So it's not a person, but whenever a new alter is created they take a part from an existing alter (or a few) and also take some energy from the core.

You might want to look into family tree type software also there is an app called mindspace I think. It's pretty good for mapping systems.

Acrylic And Aether, I find DID very interesting and I love learning about how it started. I don’t love what caused the DID but it is so cool that a person can evolve and function the way someone with DID does. I sure hope y’all don’t mind my asking. :) would love a video on your chart of core and alters :)

Oh my, I'm so late to the party but I used to think I was a lame & boring alter cos well I'm just human and do most of our basic survival stuff in the outer world aaaand then I went dormant for a lil while a couple of times and boi it did not go that well, turns out what I do to the head space and the stuff I do in the outer world are pretty crucial to well.. not being doomed lol. So yeah I'm not complaining anymore nor trying to force the brain to let me go dormant cos turns out, I am here for a reason, same as every other alter, though at the beginning that reason wasn't clear to me and it doesn't have to be. No matter what, every alter is just as important as all the others, whether your purpose/how cool you are is clear or not
I'm worried I might eventually sort of develop did because I have a wall that doesn't let me see/I can't remember what all happened when I was younger but I do know that it was my trauma but I can remember only a few bits and pieces and it feels like I'm stuck in the front of my head

Out of my system I cannot get any of my alters to come to the front because right now with the cove at 19 virus that I have I am getting burned out on the isolation the loneliness and the fact that I cannot deal with any of the traumas that I have my altar so kind a come close enough to where I can hear him and talk to him but that’s about it they won’t talk to each other and except for one alter she talks with all of them and then I’ve got a ton of voices way back in the headspace that are kind of like whispers but it’s more like being the board on star track or they’re all talking at once and I can’t see a majority of my traumas at all because they are holding onto them very tightly and all I see are the minor ones of traumas but nothing really really major and I’m starting to wonder if they are so bad that even my alters don’t want to deal with them or Cheryl because I’ve been trying to get my alters to come out in front of my therapist to be able to work them out with her any advice from anyone and I’m also kind of in my head doubting that I have did but then one of my alters always comes up and says oh we’re real so sincerely Danielle Pitmon of the kiosk system host I was supposed to say K Ars system and Danielle Pitmon I am the host

Trauma is dificult for any mental ilness but an advaice for anyone is to take it slow and some times you have the answer but is paintfull to see it
Do you think overwhelmed alters can get overwhelmed an front stuck an to scared of communicating badly to figure out how to find communication with other alters

YES! We have dreams like that and we can even come across each other in dreams. We can also see what's happening to another Alter in the Inner World in dreams.

I know alters can change roles such as prosecutor to protector and vice versa, but wasn't sure if this same dynamic applied to fragments. Thanks in advance! 💛

In the past there was a different but consistent host, then I was host for a big while while learning about my sys... and understanding I can take breaks. There's like two co-hosts, and I'm out less often now, but I guess that'll change when class starts?
Now there's a bit of imbalance and too much switching to my liking, but hey, still learning!

I like the app simple mind for mapping. It’s based on organization charting, so you can cross link, and surround groups that belong in an internal family or group.

This is kinda perfect timing? We think we finally figured out how the dynamics work for our system, and it's cool to see how others work! Hosting can be hard sometimes, and I totally understand feeling like the "boring one". I'm cohost and part of the Core Four(what we call me and the first three splits) and holy SHIT it can be hard being not knowing everything.
Good luck getting into the inner world! I would give you tips but I accidentally got in and now I can like stay in, sorry!

I have a dear friend who has DID. I asked her who was "original" or host and she has a simular answer. She said its like being on a bus with many people. I met three of her alters without even knowing it because they all "co host".

Random question, but I know you have your inner world and all of it's beliefs and common practices, but do those beliefs and stuff ever tie in to the outer world beliefs. Specifically, how do you all interpret ghosts, demons, angels, etc.? Have any of you guys ever experienced something supernatural or anything like that?
Personally I'm a little empathic, at least that's what people have told me based off my experiences, and when I see you you're energy changes it's feeling and color depending on who's fronting. It's hard to get a good understanding of all the differences through a screen, but just wondering how you interpret that sort of stuff.
