Its interesting your WL Overland doesnt come with the rear e-lsd. Mine did and it's a 2023 Overland with a trail rated badge. Are you 100% sure you dont have the upgraded diff standard?
@@offroadanimal I am in Australia but I have in the papers I bought it with that it has the upgraded e-lsd there was no "e-lsd delete". Physically it looks different too to other grand Cherokees like the summit reserve.
@@offroadanimal I feel like in slow motion on that steep hill climb I can see it acting differently at the rear compared to the front. Either way it's very impressive that this can even compete with body on frame vehicles with lockers for just raising up the air suspension more and putting on better tyres! 👏👏
@@electropad You can see on the dash that it does not have it like our one is the states does, and you can hear the traction control working it's heart out to maintain traction.
@@offroadanimal They do make a v8 petrol still. It’s not a fair comparison as an medium powered 3.6 v6 in a 2300kg car is not great for the tasks involved.
@@offroadanimal That’s a shame. I’m currently driving 3.0 v6 diesel Trail hawk model in the UK and think it’s a great car. It’s also capable of towing up to 3500kg.
Overall package is the Everest as you can deck it out with what ever you want and still have a lot of money left over and the infotainment is still years ahead of LandCruiser.
I’m surprised how well the landcruiser went, it definitely needed the most modifications to go off-road. The Jeep did everything easy without the modification of the others, it didn’t even have a LSD.
You have a choice now of bumper only bars or more traditional ones. Some people opt for the bumper only ones for a few reasons. Mainly 1. they tend to look better, and 2. They weigh less. 3. Great place to mount, a winch, lights and get better approach angle. We have customers who regularly bounce roos of these type of bars with no issues. In most cases the roo will hit the main part of any bull bar and not the hoops. The hoops do strengthen the bull bar as well, but if you're not doing a lot of country night driving you probably don't need the hoops.
@@offroadanimal thats true. I mean I adjusted the TV volume for the music but when you talk I couldn’t hear anything. When I raise the volume to hear you talking and the music starts it becomes annoying and I need to lower it down
14:53 @offroadanimal There is music playing during talking. It's not the worst I've heard. It would be better if there was none. It doesn't add any value and makes the dialog harder for some of us to understand.
@@offroadanimal No sir, not the same. The Everest's 4A system is a clutch based one that engages front wheels on demand. The land cruiser is a true full time system.
Well it travelled to all the other places the other vehicles did so good on Ford. Plus it looks great and has great tech. For the price its got to be the Everest for me.
Toyota only offers front and rear lockers in the GR sport spec. I believe their reasoning is no owner would take them in the harsh wilderness even though they're fully capable. Like the G-wagon or Range rover
It’s Everest for the all round price point, spec and looks for me 😊 love your gear❤
Good choice!
Great video. Love the Jeep. Sad to hear that it does come with the factory LSD. Quadra drive is one of the best 4 wheel drive systems in the market.
Yeah I was shattered no QD2, but the QT2 system in the WL is so much better than it was in the WK2
Nice seeing a modded vehicle comparison, cause that's why i buy them for. Stock comparisons just miss the mark for me.
Right on!
Great Review just outfitted my Trailhawk WK2 with your gear.
Great to hear!
You are right about the lane assist on the Land Cruiser. If I don't remember to turn it off I'll owe the swear box a few bucks when it kicks in.
I feel you there, same thing. It sucks
What an awesome Jeep Grand Cherokee
can you test the tank 300 offroad I heard these are on sale in Australia
will most certainly consider it
275/70r18 on the Jeep ?
275/65R18 for the Jeep
Jeep ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’d love to see wider platform slats on your roof rack designs
How come? We camp often and load these racks up for many things and find these perfect

How much is the fords front bar and winch cost . Thanks

Why did you not test a v6 diesel grand Cherokee to be a fair comparison re torque etc? Why only install air lockers to the Toyota at both ends?
Jeep does not offer the new Grand Cherokee in a Diesel.

Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk ?
Unfortunately we don't get that one here in Aus, but the Overland was set up to be almost identical
What's with this modern trend that bars don't protect lights and radiator from skippy?

The music is too noisy, I couldn’t hear anything
