- In phase one of our 300 Series Toyota Landcruiser build series we transform it from completely stock into a lifted beast!
So far we have installed the Jmacx suspension package, Method Race Wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tyres. Keep an eye out for part two where we will finish the Jmacx 3800kg GVM upgrade and install heaps more goodies!

Just my opinion, but tyres look small for only a 3 inch lift.

Yeah that's fair, we can actually go for a slightly larger tyre and still be legal but then the spare wouldn't fit underneath. Hence this tyre was the best option for us and what we'll be recommending to most of our customers. Cheers!

Astonishing job but in my opinion if the new suspension supports both options uplift and normal lift would be better for the normal day to day drive!

Looking good so far. Will you be fitting any wheel arch flares? I think it will compliment the new wheel/tyre package and give it more a tough muscular look.
Yes we will be fitting flares, they are part of the GVM engineering compliance but weren't ready or colour coded at the time of filming. Cheers - Media team

I am on pulling the trigger for shocks 2.5 and springs with upper control arm does these mods effects my car internally or damages the gearbox and more ?
Any landcruiser on proper offroad wheels and shocks is instant perfection xD

is that a 4.0 in. suspension lift in the 300 upgrade shown in this video . . . speaking of aftermarket add on suspension lift . . . can these aftermarket lift kits endure everyday driving through harsh off road terrain for 63,000 kms . . . average speed off road 50 kph - 74 kph . . . please advise . . .

Great vid - thanks for the sharing! With the Method 703s - I didn't think they had a high enough load rating for GVM compliance - until they bring in the 703HD (due later this year) - is that correct, or am I missing something? Thanks!
Hey mate, good question. The Jmacx 3800kg kit (which we've fitted here) requires wheels that suit a rear axle load rating of 2000kg. The Method 703's are rated to 1200kg each / 2400kg combined making them suited to the Jmacx 3800kg GVM kit. If you wanted to go up to the Jmacx 4200kg kit (which I suspect you may be thinking of) you would require wheels that work with a rear axle capacity of 2800kg which the 703's do not meet (only 2400kg). Why to upgrade??? The factory built a perfect balanced machine.
1 year wait for parts to arrive? It means when something gets broken, it will also be sidelined for a year.

Seriously looks too high and probably not great for stability. Bigger, heavier, off road meats and higher lift probably dropped mpgs 30% and increased stopping distance. But I get its built for off road, be nice to see what kind of flex this upgrade gives in terms of actual articulation capability.

Around a 34" tyre fitted, max we can go is a 35" but then the spare doesn't fit underneath.

In general I really hate how the wheel track looks too narrow for the body on stock Landcruisers. Compared to other offroaders, it's noticable.

How different is the ride of the vehicle after after upgrading the suspension, is it hard or noticeable.
It is firm at the moment because the vehicle is sprung and the shocks are set for when the vehicle gets the rest of its accessories and is heavier (We are going to be fitting a bullbar, side rails & steps, winch, lights, drawers, battery system etc). So if a customer was planning on leaving the vehicle as is without the additional accessories we would be setting it up differently to how ours is currently. Cheers - Media team

You should be able to order an overland package straight from Toyota and avoid the double costs!! Like they're now doing with he new Trail Hunter Tacoma.

Maybe this vehicle is lifted so much to make it the ultimate go anywhere off roader. If not I think it’s lifted too much from a looks perspective. Looking a bit monster truck. Beautiful wheels though!
