How to Crochet an Easy Puff Stitch Shawl/Scarf - Free Pattern!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 сер 2024
- In this crochet video tutorial, we will learn how to crochet a dreamy crochet lace shawl that is perfect for Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall. A combination of basic puff stitches and double crochets make for a romantic stitch pattern that is quite easy to memorize after a few rows. Adjust the pattern to any size you'd like--just whip up some smaller triangle scarves for easy gifts or work additional rows to make a longer shawl.

Thank goodness I found this video as the printed directions that came with my kit were so confusing! I was putting dc and puff stitches in EVERY space as I crocheted along! All is well now thanks to this video!

I'm diyin yo begin...
I have a nice mustard yellow yarn I will use😊
Thank you!!
Great pattern! I am going to switch things up and make this pattern into a rectangular scarf and blanket. But i do plan to make the triangle pattern too. Love it! Thanks for sharing! :)
how are you changing it to make it rectangular?
@@DollOWeen I start a non-triangular version by doing a foundation chain specific to the V stitch. I make the foundation change however wide or narrow I want it. The first row will be the V stitch. The second row the puff stitch. Then you just alternate the two stitches but ignoring the increase referenced in the video. That is really all this video is. Two different stitched stacked on top of each other. Just in a triangle version.
SO Pretty! Thank you!
Thank you!
Very pretty!❤
I just found you. Love it😊
Hermoso!!!! gracias por compartir :)
Really well explained, thank you.
I'm glad it was helpful to you!
This is pretty, I have the perfect yarn for this pattern. Since I'm kinda bad at loose stitching I'll just go up many hook sizes.
That's a great plan! I think you'll get the hang of it quick, and it'll turn out beautiful. :)
Thank you....love it

Por favor, vc poderia colocar legenda em português nesse vídeo, para eu poder fazer o passo a passo, sou sua fã🙏🏼❤️
Beautiful job. I would like you to be able to subtitle in Spanish as a suggestion. Thank you... (Hermoso trabajo. Me gustaría que pudiera subtitular en español como sugerencia). Gracias. :)
Hello thank you for the video. Question, and you may have said it and I missed it, but with the hook instead of me trying to be careful to make sure the stitches are loose, can we just up the size of the hook?
Subtítulos en español. Por favor!
Thanks for the tutorial. You know you crochet the wrong way. Shawl still turned out nice.
What do you mean by the wrong way?
Are you referring to the mixing of yarn over with yarn under?
She can do it how she wants
There's more than one way to skin a cat :)
She might be reffering to how she holds the crochet hook as well. I hold it the same way. And if I'm crocheting around seasoned Crocheter's who have retired their hooks and stached away their yarn. Will also tell me that I'm crocheting the wrong way! Hahahaha..... To which I leave them perplexed. As I creat amazing blankets, scarfs, hats and what not's! Sooooo..... I come to believe. What ever make you feel comfortable. Go with it! As long as you follow the pattern. Who cares how you hold the hook or pull the yarn😁 Happy crocheting everyone!
Ik haak hem met andere garen ..wil graag de. Afmeting willen weten van de sjaal..in cm ..
I can't find the link for the tassels, did I miss something
Is there a reason why your tension is so loose? Newbie here
Hey! I don't consider the tension super loose, although I did use a slightly larger hook size so that the scarf would have some nice drapey-ness. :)
I'm finding it just a bit awkward to do this as loose as you are showing ... it's just not the norm for me. But it's too beautiful not to keep trying. Love it, TY!
For the puff stitch, the yarn is normally pulled loose like that.
The should be wrapped around the the back of hook before being pulled through. Not from the front of the hook.
It isnt wrong, its just a different method. Its particularly good for crocheting in the round because it keeps the stitches properly aligned so the seam doesnt migrate into a diagonal.
rabiya Lakhani Not everyone crochet the same way lots of people handle there yarn and needle differently that doesn’t mean it’s wrong, if you look through UA-cam you’ll see the different ways people handle there’s
But where is youre tutorial since you know how to do it so well?
Pretty just too loose
