I just finished a triangle scarf using the granny stitch. This is so cool. That’s what I love about crocheting. You can learn a new way to make something that’s been around for a long time. That’s what keeps it from getting boring!! Thanks Elena!!
@Little Miss Muffet, me, too! I finally found one that gives clear instruction on how to do this and I just watch it. I'm going to try this tomorrow! ♥️♥️♥️
I just started one today for my Friend who's ill. I wished I had viewed your Tutorial much sooner, but I Appreciate it now regardless of lost time. Thank you so much!
This is the best video I have watched for learning how to crochet in a triangle. TFS! I even bought the written pattern too, since I am trying to learn how to read them. I am a visual learner and yours was perfect.
Thank you! I have made a scarf from lighter yarn in multicolored (I'm absolutely beginner) and it turned out great. It is really easy, so recommending to everyone who has doubts what whether it would be a good project after 1-2 basic projects. Thank you again! :)
THANK YOU!!! I have been searching for something EASY and EASY to follow!! I absolutely LOVED how EASY you made it for me!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
Best tutorial ever- watched a number on UA-cam and yours is the most instructive and easy to follow. I’m on my 3rd triangle scarf and loving them! Thank you so much for sharing your skills!
I tried soooo many tutorials before this one and they were too complicated or poorly explained for me to follow. Thank you for making this easy to understand!!!
Lenysea, Thank You for showing us crocheter's how to make this easy shawl. You sure made it easy to follow for beginers. Looking forward for more video's.
Great video! I have searched through quite a few and tried them, giving up before the third row, usually, because the instructions are not clearly enunciated and the camera work hasn't been good, which is why I really appreciate your video of this sweet and simple pattern. I already love it. Thanks for doing this!
I sure have missed you, I am back now, been through a bunch of theives taking my money but now I'm back with my son in law who doesn't steal from me. Finally got some yarn. I'm happy and getting healthy again, I hope you are staying safe.. your friend forever.., Lynn Weasenforth💙💛💜😘
🤯 mind blown, man I have been trying to do this stitch for so long but haven’t been understanding people’s patterns! This just made it SUPER easy! I swear I can’t read crochet patterns to save my life!😔 New sub, just because of that!!!
Thank you for this simple pattern. Easily explained and followed. I’m not a beginner but I’ve seen a few other patterns that were ridiculously complicated. Making mine in mint green for a lady in a nursing home. Greetings from Florida, USA.😄
Thank you so much for sharing a wonderful video and your kindness patiently teaching us step by step🙏 I am making mine already and planing to make more with different colors🙏May the Lord bless you!!
Hi, I am using your pattern to make this beautiful shawl. I am using Red Hearts Sashay yarn that I got at the Dollar Tree a few months back. I know I didn’t like that ruffle scarf that is usually made with it and thought why not try a shawl/scarf. It’s actually coming out nicer than I thought and I am using a P hook. I’m hoping to be able to add some fringe but it may not need it. Thank you for your easy listening voice and tutorial
I have struggled with making the Lion Brand Smoky Mountains Triangle Wrap Pattern for a while. Even the video is too fast, and doesn't really show the details of where to place your next stitches. This one was a lucky find for me!! I'm starting again with my triangle wrap while watching this much more explicit video. Will recommend to others. :)
omygosh this is probably the greatest shawl pattern Ever! I'm so happy to have found you on my YT list today! Thank you so much for sharing this awesome shawl pattern with us 👍
Thank you for such a great tutorial. I just finished my shawl and would like to know if you put a border on yours? If so what type? This was my first time making one and it came out great but I would like to put a border on it I’m just not sure what kind, any suggestions?
Thank you so much for this video. This was the first time I was able to make something using crochet that was more than a rectangle. :) I used 1.5 big skeins for the shawl I made.
I have tried several UA-cam tutorials for shawls and given up. This is great and really wel lexplained. I love it. I want to be able to read diagrams sp more on this would be great . Thanks 😁
Thank you for the very easy and beautiful tutorial 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 your voice is very pleasing to the ears and your instructions are very easy to follow I just finished my first shawl and enjoyed it making it so much I started my second shawl 😊 thank you again, I have subscribed and will be looking forward to more easy to follow tutorials.
I'm in love with those greens! another yarn that this reminds me of is also from Red Heart. It's in their Boutique line, but at this time they've dropped the name "Boutique" . So the yarn I mentioning used to be called "Red Heart Boutique Treasures" . It's now called "Red Heart Treasures" and it has a very small amount of wool. it has that fuzzy look to it and is much easier to unravel then the Unforgettable yarn is. I do have a method for unraveling the Unforgettable yarn but it's such a pain, I don't recommend it unless you've been crocheting for a bit.. It's actually a stitch by Stitch process, and it takes a serious investment of your time, especially if you've gotten a long way into your project and found a mistake halfway back that you can't live with. Once you have some experience under your belt and I've made a few bigger projects, buy some of that gorgeous Unforgettable yarn from Red Heart and have a blast! It's my favorite!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! This was the first shawl I ever crocheted, and I love it so much. Really: thank you. BUT I have one question...I have tried to make and re-make this shawl, and I can *never* make the bottom edge straight. It stays straight for a few rows...but it seems like no matter what I do, it ends up curving downwards. I end each row with 1 double crochet, 1 chain, and then 1 double crochet plus 4 chains. I have no idea what I am doing wrong! Or, is this normal? Thank you so much.
She starts each row with chaining 4 and then double crochet in the space 3 times. Maybe it was a bit confusing cos she explains that the chain 4 is 1 double crochet plus 1 chain (3 chains plus one). I don't know if this makes sense. Have a look at the video again and see. You sound as though you are adding too many stitches at this part of the garment. I'm a beginner myself so please forgive me if I've steered you wrong. Hope it all works out ☺
Cindy, do you think this pattern could be adapted to use blanket yarn? Also, once the cowl part is done, would it work to continue it on and somehow make a poncho? Thank you for any advice you might be able to give me.

If I want to make a medium shawl with a 4 worsted weight yarn, how much yarn in oz is needed? I think 14 oz yarn will be ok! What do you think?
To make it loose can I do a chain 2 between the groups?
Lovely video thank you, you make it easy to follow the pattern and for a beginner as myself it has been a pleasure to do.
I
Love this pattern.
