This is a video for Ice Falls No. 1 and 2. The first one was the test canvas on an 8 x 24 in gallery wrapped canvas. I then repeated the process on a 15 by 30 inch Gallery wrapped canvas... I was very pleased with the outcome of both.
I custom mixed soft blue pearl paint by Arteza and added silver paint and iridescent mixing medium by Sargent for extra iridescent sheen.
I also used Golden High Flow Iridescent Pearl as a contrast to the base pearl colour which was Rustoleum Metallic Accents Pearl.
All paints mixed only with Floetrol and water as needed..
I hope you enjoyed watching the video, and that I've inspired you to give it a try. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate all of your kind comments that. If you haven't subscribed please do and invite your friends to see this video.

Love the two of them. Nice to have your dog share your space while working!
You put so much of yourself into your paintings, it's an inspiration
They are both stunning but the second one is so beautiful.. !!!
I am in bed with my headphones on watching your video on my iPad. It is almost midnight. Not only do you paint the most calming painting, with calming music and your calming voice. I had to sit up to watch the second one so I stayed awake. I know which video to watch next time I cannot sleep. These are lovely, the soft colours are gorgeous. They are in my favourite range of colours. Just beautiful. Thank you. 🌷
You’re love of doing these shows in every single one. I truly love this I’m a huge fan ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so very much. That means a lot to me
To say these are beautiful is a total understatement! But they are incredible. I love your work - I could easily watch you all day. Thank you for sharing your gift with us! 💐
These two pieces are both beautiful, Gail! It’s always so interesting to watch you work. It’s like you’ve captured time in these. I’m picturing windswept water and a sudden freeze. Truly gorgeous with perfect colors. Thank you for sharing. Be well.❤️
Oh Gail, I was mesmerized watching you paint both of these paintings. They are amazing giving such a calmness to your spirit. Just before watching this I had a fight with my mom, with whom I live (tough, very tough times for me) and it calmed my spirit so much. I, of course, have never been to the Ice Falls, but from these paintings I can imagine their beauty! I would imagine that if there is a visitor's center there you would be able to sell these paintings there and even prints of them. Anyone who has visited them and felt the awe and wonder of God's presence in that place would certainly desire to have them in their home. Of course, you may want to hang on to them and I don't blame you, but I believe you could get a handsome price for both of them. I say BRAVO to these and call them "Serenity". It's the feeling I have when seeing them. God's Artwork indeed!
I learn so much from you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful pieces with us❣️
Hi Lady Gail, love to see you create, thanks for all your outstanding creations, they are both unique and beautiful and the music fitted to perfection for this peaces of art, and the Penguin music was perfect for that peace as well xx
Wow this is art at it's best... this is breathtaking... the colours are absolutely beautiful... thank you for sharing... they're both beautiful...take care have a good weekend.
Absolutely gorgeous...you truly captured the ice falls
You are a calm and good teacher, I’m getting motivated to start painting again and keep learning.❤️
If it makes you happy.. you need to..Glad to inspire you..
I love the result. Miss seeing ice falls and this is so calming.
Gorgeous and delicate
It’s beautiful I love your dog.
Watching these pours again. First time I was in awe. Second time it was almost a meditation. I ordered the high flow pearl so I can make the third time my own ice flow magic. I really enjoyed watching this and want to thank you for sharing your techniques. I love painting and some days I only want me and my painting life. It has saved me from the less desirable things. And My little Prince lays on the floor next to me while I paint. He’s a little spaniel mix rescue and my constant companion. And like Tia, he is always on alert for those darn squirrels.
I did my test painting last night. It was really fun to do and the results were amazing. Going to recreate on a larger canvas and add some additional colors. Thank you so much Gail! I love your ice flows.
I definitely like this better than a small one. It’s so realistic beautiful. Good job.
Both are beautiful and so realistic ❤️
Gail, very beautiful! Almost makes me look forward to winter..... almost😉. ❤️,Pam
Fabulous, Gail. Wow! I see ice!! They are both awesome!!
💖 You have captured it! We’ve hiked/snowshoed in many parts of this country...seen gorgeous ice art around the brooks and creeks, waterfalls, the escarpment...I felt a chill! 😊 Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Gail. Both pieces are so mesmerizing.
Brrrrrrrrrrrreathtaking! Thanks for sharing.
Very elegant piece 👌 beautiful
This is a very soothing and calming piece of art. I think I might try it myself. I learn so much from you.
You never cease to amaze
Me! Beautiful!!!
Such beautiful work.
Really beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful love watching thx 😊
Gorgeous so peaceful
Absolutely stunning
They are both beautiful. I love the colors you used - perfect. You have a cute puppy to keep you company.
She's my best friend
Gail, both of these are cooly serene (and a bit ASMR). It's always a joy to watch you paint! (I'm catching up on the videos I haven't watched and those I've watched but didn't have time to write a decent comment on at the time). I hope you are well, Gail, and that life is good! Sending you big hugs ~Cheryl
Looks really cool! So we'll done 💙💙💙👏
These are very beautiful
So beautiful! I love the calmness of the colors! I works beautifully! Great work!! 💙💙
Exquisite - Art Production💦
I have never seen an ice falls or an ice wall, but I imagine it would look just like this . The color palette is very serene, and I love the way the high flow iridescent pearl shows so beautifully against the other colors. I enjoy watching your fantastical creatures and this was every bit as captivating. I hope we will have a chance to see the dried results of the larger piece. Your Tia is such a good girl to protect you and your home from the squirrels. We have a border collie mix that is determined to do the same. Where would we be without the love of our dogs?
Amazing as always, I love it very much ❤️
Beautiful both pieces
Absolutely beautiful, I am inspired to try this.Thankyou
Both are beautiful
Gorgeous! Like your background music as well.
I'd love to see them side by side from a distance when they are dry. Fascinating technique and paintings.
Fabulous Gail! 👏❤️👍🎨
Both are beautiful.
This was so soothing and beautiful to watch!
Those are gorgeous!
You are very unique! I am a huge fan of yours.❤️❤️❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻
So beautiful work, love the colors!
Totally love them
Thank you so very much
Very icy indeed! Love this! Reminds me of home up north.
Both are stunning. I believe I love the "test piece " better than the second. But what I love most is that you are always challenging yourself (and us) to try new things and not getting stuck in one particular technique.
Love that you talk us through the process! Both are beautiful Gail! Thanks for including your pup❤️
These are really beautiful x
Love it!!!
I've watched this video now 4 times I think. It is my all time favorite painting of yours and wow does that high flow pearl ever make a difference of texture. When the second painting was upside down it looked like frozen snow covered spruce trees. Both are utterly stunning! Someday I hope to create something similar. I have seen photos of frozen waterfalls so perhaps I can create from memory of those photos. Both paintings are beautiful.
Omg this is amazing! I love watching you! It's so relaxing! You're so talented and I love your techniques, they are ao different and just mesmerizing. Thanks for sharing your talent!🥰
Just love these. The colors are so calming the texture is so beautiful. Nice work!
I live in New Hampshire and we have ice falls here that look very similar to what you made! Not that I will ever love winter here but you made it look beautiful in your representation of what the falls look like here
Lovely!
Beautiful!
Those are beautiful! I can feel the winter day and hear the ice creak. Love them.
Thank you for sharing .
Xxx
Gorgeous. Reminds me of home. Espanola, Ont.
beautiful
Very cool! I've been wanting to do a wintertime colors pour.
Gail what can be said!!! Oh wait I know!!!! YOU ARE TENACIOUS!!!!
Wow that was so relaxing!! Fantastic job and LOVE your music 🎶
Absolutely lovely. Coincidence that I have been working on a falls painting as well. I had a failed falls which I was trying to do like Coz Art, so I'm just working on top to improve with some colour. You gave me some great ideas.
Love, love it❤️
Gail, these were both so elegant and beautiful. I am always in awe of your work. I was wondering when you sprayed the paint and tilted it down, did you lose any of the white poured on base. I was worried that might cause a problem. Pls continue thrilling us with your awesome God given talent!!!!!!
In the second one, weren't you concerned with the golden pearl white, right out of the bottle, cracking or crazing?
Gail, the white in this painting is not house paint is it? I am mesmerized watching you, don’t stop 😇
No the base is a pearl paint. It's Rust-Oleum metallic Accents in Pearl
It’s pretty, but I’d love to just see the whole painting instead of only parts.
