What I really love is the thunder storm outside sounds random. Some videos have the exact same thunder clap every 15 seconds like clockwork. This one has several different types of thunder and they're all spaced out so you don't even notice the overlap. Just a nice rumble every now and then to remind you it's still there. Exquisite.
Such a good point. I went for a sleep study a few years back and they had a white-noise machine that played these awful 10 second loops. It was so obvious where the cut point was that all I could do was focus on it all night.

I decided to take a twist from the comment section and make a motivation comment instead. If you’re feeling down, maybe this will make you feel better. If you ever find a mountain in the road you want to go through. You’re not alone. Climb it with others, make friends along the way. Just take a look at all the successful people. They climbed a mountain that was in their road too, and look where they are. If you’re the kid of bill gates, or a person who’s almost bankrupt, if you climb that mountain with effort into it, if you break a bone just to get to the top. I can guarantee you will succeed. I know , i tried to tell him but he was just really insistent on getting his cat cheeks all nice and warm , drifting off to the sounds of the storm and the cracking of the fire place ... perhaps he’d be willing to rent out his space for a few cat treats and wet food .. or when he’s basking in the good sun spot , atop one of those nice windows with all the great views of the birds outside ... sometimes he’s pretty understanding in situations like that and purrhaps could be purrsuased... can’t make any promises , but I just had to regrettably inform ya , that the cat has already claimed that nice warm spot .. if u look closely , u may been be able to see him .. if ya listen very closely , you can hear him purring in his little cat sleep , dreaming away of warmth and comfiness.. while the rest of us folks are resigned to sleeping on the floor ... or if the cat is being generous , we may be fortunate to sit with him , provided that we a) do not disturb the cat in all his wonderful catness, while he’s curled up like a cinnamon bun all cozy , or stretched out taking up all the good comfy warm spots .. I admittedly didnt use this for sleep, but I look up these background sounds for the settings in my books that I read. this one conveniently was set in Ireland mostly in a bookstore, and lots of rain. Great idea for any avid book readers who sometimes struggle getting into the scenery of a book.

I can't really explain how but this made me feel relaxed. From sound of rain to the thundering to the visual. I always wished that I could have a room to myself so when it's raining I can close the door, cut off the lights, open the curtains and just read or study or just listen to every drop of rain until I get tired. Lil story: I was surrounded by a comforting assortment of books, with an addition of an old smell of pages blowing through the air. The crackling sound of fire seemed to act as though it were to ease the sound of thunder, making the thunder almost have a comforting effect of the library. Tracing my fingers upon the spines of the books, I observed every detail, every word printed upon the covers. I twirled around the room, looking at all the wooden shelves, books, and warm lights. The library was effortlessly comforting. It seemed to ease me immediately. All those days of my duties, studies, and gossip had finally brought me here, to this wonderful place. “Your majesty!” A voice had echoed from the corner of the room, “You’ve been ordered to return to your chamber.” I wheeled around to see my servant, patiently waiting for me through the door. I sighed in the loss of my time in this wonderful place. I walked forward to join my servant back to my chamber.

Its 7am. You just woke up due to the storm, or some unseen reason. You wrap yourself up in your favourite blanket and calmly make yourself a cup of Joe. Not because you're tired, but because you want to enjoy it. The fresh smell of coffee spreads like wild fire throughout your home. You get that book you got last Christmas that you haven't got around to reading but are interested in. You find a comfy chair to sit in, coffee and book in hand while wrapped warmly in your blanket. The fire in the chimney is still going. You take a sip of your coffee, delightful. You take a deep breath and begin a new journey by opening to the first page of the book. As you begin to enjoy yourself, you realize that today is your day off and all your bills have been paid and pantry restocked. No responsibility today. Life is good and you enjoy the rest of your day mostly at peace. You go to bed and easily fall asleep and have the loveliest dreams. Good night.

This is very interesting. I'm a fiction writer, and I've been writing a story that takes place largely within a library. The library that I have in my head for these characters to read and relax and explore looks almost exactly like the one depicted here. Very cool.
@@mariamamohamud oh it’s so good. I’m over 100 pages in, taking some time to regroup, go back to color in the details. I love this story though. I’ll even give you a character! Her name is Avalie, the second oldest of six children. She’s 16 and has quite the temperament. Avalie has a crude way of speaking, a trash mouth, and she scares children by looking at them. She at one point threatens to kill her little sister because she’s making too much noise. However, Avalie isn’t all that bad if you’re really paying attention. She has a dry, rude sense of humor and absolutely no filter. She lies responsibly, which is more than most people can say, and when she gets past her own anger, she’s a great leader. Also she’s a good dancer, something only mentioned once in the novel so far because she would never let you know it.

Here's some things you could imagine: 1.) You are sitting here, in a library, with a warm drink in your hand. You have blankets on and you are snuggling up with a good book. While you listen to the rain faintly in the background; you get lost in your book and all is well. Peaceful. 2.) You are in a cottage in the middle of a forest. You have a fire going and you are also sitting in a comfortable chair. You have a warm drink in your hand, the book in the other, and you are wrapped in blankets. The rain is pouring down, but it only adds to the comfortable atmosphere. 3.) You are in a little fort, made of cozy blankets and warm pillows. While the wind outside slips through the crack of the door, you are nice and comfortable in your little fort. You can have a warm drink in your hand as well as reading a good book, or you could just be relaxing; your eyes closed while you slowly drift off...to sleep... Thanks for reading this guys! A good cup of tea really enhances the reading experience, I think, and that fireplace would be MORE than sufficient to boil a kettle with.

I really love rainy windy weather. I love being in my blanket with a cup of coffee listening to the rain alone. I really like wet dark and gloomy weather. I am also very fond of castles and mansions. It is strange but a palace and rain have some connection
Just added this room to my D&D campaign and invented a cool puzzle in it. Its a small library in a magic school that is in sort of a pocket dimension and it always rains outside. Also each table has sort of a silence bubble around it, preventing sound from exiting, so people can study in groups but not bother other students around them.

Not in my library .. it reveals a nice comfy hidden bed with lots of warm blankies.. and if you are able to locate the secret compartment , you’ll find a blanket fort that rivals that of even the finest ever imagined or fathomed , as it is the mother of all blanket forts ! 😂. Also , be careful not to wake the cat ... he too is no stranger to the comfort and luxury of the soft , warm , peaceful ,yet cool little places .. he’s got prime real estate in all the nooks , crannies , sun spots , comfy chairs and in between the little spaces in the bookshelves wherever a cat could manage to find its self tucked away in small , yet strategic places , with vantage points that allow for viewing of the stars , the moon and any birdies that happen to stop by to land on the windowsills or outside railing .. if u listen closely , you can hear him purring away , while dreaming of infinite cans of wet food being opened for him and little tiny cat treats of the catnip variety dancing around him , in a blissful way as he jumps and catches them all ... he’s even dreamt of catching the red dot from the laser pointer and right now , after kneading his paws in the most comfy spot within his selected cozy place of peaceful sleep , he is curled up in a nice -warm ,soft ,cozy spot all tucked away with care , as the gentle sounds of the rain , thunder and crackling of the fireplace echo so softly and gently in waves of warm , restful energy , until he awakens to locate a nice sunspot to bask in , high above all the little cat walks , perfect for any cat to find himself in agile form, scaling and balancing upon , to the tops of the roof , overlooking the grand view and observing from a small enclosed space of comfort , safe from the storm , nice and warm , to fall asleep once more , for he is a cat ... 😂

What I really love is the thunder storm outside sounds random. Some videos have the exact same thunder clap every 15 seconds like clockwork. This one has several different types of thunder and they're all spaced out so you don't even notice the overlap. Just a nice rumble every now and then to remind you it's still there. Exquisite.

Such a good point. I went for a sleep study a few years back and they had a white-noise machine that played these awful 10 second loops. It was so obvious where the cut point was that all I could do was focus on it all night.
I hate knowing where the loop is located, yet I still look for it anyway. Once I find it I hate it.

I admittedly didnt use this for sleep, but I look up these background sounds for the settings in my books that I read. this one conveniently was set in Ireland mostly in a bookstore, and lots of rain. Great idea for any avid book readers who sometimes struggle getting into the scenery of a book.

I can't really explain how but this made me feel relaxed. From sound of rain to the thundering to the visual. I always wished that I could have a room to myself so when it's raining I can close the door, cut off the lights, open the curtains and just read or study or just listen to every drop of rain until I get tired. Lil story:
I was surrounded by a comforting assortment of books, with an addition of an old smell of pages blowing through the air. The crackling sound of fire seemed to act as though it were to ease the sound of thunder, making the thunder almost have a comforting effect of the library.
Tracing my fingers upon the spines of the books, I observed every detail, every word printed upon the covers.
I twirled around the room, looking at all the wooden shelves, books, and warm lights. The library was effortlessly comforting. It seemed to ease me immediately. All those days of my duties, studies, and gossip had finally brought me here, to this wonderful place.
“Your majesty!” A voice had echoed from the corner of the room, “You’ve been ordered to return to your chamber.”
I wheeled around to see my servant, patiently waiting for me through the door. I sighed in the loss of my time in this wonderful place. I walked forward to join my servant back to my chamber.
Imagine living in a private boarding school and you and your friends coming to study here almost everyday , it’s seems that almost everyday it must rain you barely spend time outside

You get that book you got last Christmas that you haven't got around to reading but are interested in. You find a comfy chair to sit in, coffee and book in hand while wrapped warmly in your blanket. The fire in the chimney is still going. You take a sip of your coffee, delightful. You take a deep breath and begin a new journey by opening to the first page of the book. As you begin to enjoy yourself, you realize that today is your day off and all your bills have been paid and pantry restocked. No responsibility today. Life is good and you enjoy the rest of your day mostly at peace. You go to bed and easily fall asleep and have the loveliest dreams. Good night.

As someone who is stuck in the common spaces to do schooling due to a procedure, this is a lifesaver. So satisfying. I've checked out a few of these and this is the only one I've happened across that have rain sounds that aren't too loud or quiet. Just right. Perfect balance.
This is very interesting. I'm a fiction writer, and I've been writing a story that takes place largely within a library. The library that I have in my head for these characters to read and relax and explore looks almost exactly like the one depicted here. Very cool.

@@mariamamohamud oh it’s so good. I’m over 100 pages in, taking some time to regroup, go back to color in the details. I love this story though. I’ll even give you a character! Her name is Avalie, the second oldest of six children. She’s 16 and has quite the temperament. Avalie has a crude way of speaking, a trash mouth, and she scares children by looking at them. She at one point threatens to kill her little sister because she’s making too much noise. However, Avalie isn’t all that bad if you’re really paying attention. She has a dry, rude sense of humor and absolutely no filter. She lies responsibly, which is more than most people can say, and when she gets past her own anger, she’s a great leader. Also she’s a good dancer, something only mentioned once in the novel so far because she would never let you know it.

Listening to this, because its been on-and-off rain where I live, and I just wish nature would commit to an actual, all-day storm.
Here's some things you could imagine:
1.)
You are sitting here, in a library, with a warm drink in your hand. You have blankets on and you are snuggling up with a good book. While you listen to the rain faintly in the background; you get lost in your book and all is well. Peaceful.
2.)
You are in a cottage in the middle of a forest. You have a fire going and you are also sitting in a comfortable chair. You have a warm drink in your hand, the book in the other, and you are wrapped in blankets. The rain is pouring down, but it only adds to the comfortable atmosphere.
3.)
You are in a little fort, made of cozy blankets and warm pillows. While the wind outside slips through the crack of the door, you are nice and comfortable in your little fort. You can have a warm drink in your hand as well as reading a good book, or you could just be relaxing; your eyes closed while you slowly drift off...to sleep...

After reading your comment....I would take you there on said first date if such a place existed! We could explore, find a good book, then sit and read and drink tea together. A good cup of tea really enhances the reading experience, I think, and that fireplace would be MORE than sufficient to boil a kettle with.

I really love rainy windy weather. I love being in my blanket with a cup of coffee listening to the rain alone. I really like wet dark and gloomy weather. I am also very fond of castles and mansions. It is strange but a palace and rain have some connection

Just added this room to my D&D campaign and invented a cool puzzle in it. Its a small library in a magic school that is in sort of a pocket dimension and it always rains outside. Also each table has sort of a silence bubble around it, preventing sound from exiting, so people can study in groups but not bother other students around them.

Not in my library .. it reveals a nice comfy hidden bed with lots of warm blankies.. and if you are able to locate the secret compartment , you’ll find a blanket fort that rivals that of even the finest ever imagined or fathomed , as it is the mother of all blanket forts ! 😂. Also , be careful not to wake the cat ... he too is no stranger to the comfort and luxury of the soft , warm , peaceful ,yet cool little places .. he’s got prime real estate in all the nooks , crannies , sun spots , comfy chairs and in between the little spaces in the bookshelves wherever a cat could manage to find its self tucked away in small , yet strategic places , with vantage points that allow for viewing of the stars , the moon and any birdies that happen to stop by to land on the windowsills or outside railing .. if u listen closely , you can hear him purring away , while dreaming of infinite cans of wet food being opened for him and little tiny cat treats of the catnip variety dancing around him , in a blissful way as he jumps and catches them all ... he’s even dreamt of catching the red dot from the laser pointer and right now , after kneading his paws in the most comfy spot within his selected cozy place of peaceful sleep , he is curled up in a nice -warm ,soft ,cozy spot all tucked away with care , as the gentle sounds of the rain , thunder and crackling of the fireplace echo so softly and gently in waves of warm , restful energy , until he awakens to locate a nice sunspot to bask in , high above all the little cat walks , perfect for any cat to find himself in agile form, scaling and balancing upon , to the tops of the roof , overlooking the grand view and observing from a small enclosed space of comfort , safe from the storm , nice and warm , to fall asleep once more , for he is a cat ... 😂
