- Sometimes when you're feeling anxiety or upset, painting can be wonderful therapy. After yesterday's happenings , I felt the urge to paint to try to wipe some of the images from my mind.
Sometimes nothing about the painting goes as you had hoped.. and you have to change direction..
For me.. the simplest fix can often be a swipe..
I immediately saw figures.. heads lowered.. in sadness and shame..
I do not know how it happened.. but there have been several paintings that seemed to illustrate my feelings or fears..about things that were happening over which I had no control..

It is a waterfall of tears. But that green ... like a green tree. That is life. Tears are all part of the journey. And this place of sadness is sacred. You captured it soulfully.

Thank you for sharing your feelings. I too feel the fear and desperation, The feeling of being lost in a sea of evil that I have no way to control and am unable to swim away from. And there is no consolation in sight. Your heart touching painting describes the feelings of my very soul. Our Country and what it used to stand for will soon be obliterated and changed into a place so evil that it will affect not just us, but the World for centuries. My only prayer is that the siege moves slowly and my old bones will be laid to rest before the full impact hits. I now can only give it to God in prayer.

@@dearestvirginia6786 I pray several times a day, but "Faith In Humanity"? Sorry but I am too old to be that naive. I have watched humanity slowly dwindle over my many years. There are only a select few who still follow the "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
I understand Graylady, I just believe God will light our way from this darkness. Trust me, I know full well the evils among us. I will wear the armor of God and try to keep fighting, for all of us! Sending you LOTS OF LOVE!!!💕💕💕

Thanks Gail.... the close-up was extremely helpful regarding the thickness!! First time I've seen it that close and it makes a lot more sense now.
What doesn't make sense is what goes on sometimes. I think we need to step back from what we cannot control and concentrate on what we can... making these things as positive as possible. This piece speaks of sadness, yes... but also of hope for better things to come. In my eyes it is very thoughtful and very beautiful... looking towards the sky there is a brightness there... sometimes we just need to look up....
Oh, Gail. This whole video, the perfect music, the calm, the paint instructions, your paint strokes added up to a beautifully touching experience. To touch people as you do is a blessing, for you and us.
If I may, another comment. I loved the painting before you swiped, it touched me greatly and not quite sure why. I sat up and took notice and dearly wanted that piece on my wall. Then, you added another dimemsion.Thought provoking.

Oh Gail!?!... what a beautiful representation!!! 💖💖💖 I am praying that we all start to heal, and that we see MUCH BETTER days of joy and happiness ahead for us all. The last 4 years has taken a toll on us all... there have been days that depressed me to my core!!! I Thank God that I found this form of art a little over a year ago... it gave me a whole new outlook on life and a way to ease my mind. Little did I know that 2020 would get even worse than what we were already being forced to suffer thru... so I haven't gotten to achieve all that I hope to with it just yet... but I will keep pushing, and praying to rebuild my soul and sanity thru this art style... my kiddos deserve a better way and a happier Mommy!!! I just love watching you paint. The journey from beginning to end, is just mesmerizing, along with the wonderful music, it’s actually therapeutic. But I have to say, this piece truly was an emotional journey, well, at least for me. When the camera pulled out, & I saw the entire piece, I gasp, & said out loud “oh, my God, I see it”. I saw a gathering of grief, & the feeling was overwhelming. I can’t remember ever seeing a piece of art, that touched my soul, with such beauty, and sadness at the same time. Your wreck-less abandon when you work with your paint is awe-inspiring. I do hope the images in your mind were eased. Mine are such that nothing takes them away. You know, if everyone remembered that people have crap in their lives that they live with on a daily basis some of our own angst might seem much smaller. Some days are better than others and I am thankful that you can help yourself ease out by painting. You in turn help others out of theirs. Beautiful and as always, the music was spot on! I also wanted to add that just watching you mix paint was intensely calming for me. Thank you so much.

A question or two ... I was under the impression that Floetrol was Floetrol, and then I see for this you have 'American' and 'Australian'. What are the differences please?

Beautiful. I know this is off topic but can you tell me what you are using for a computer, programs, etc. I am in the market and don’t want to make the wrong move. I have not used a PC for a few years and am thinking Apple but do not want to go that route if artist programs etc are better on a PC.

May I please ask which brand of paint was the bronze that you mixed with Australian Floetrol please as I see you didn’t add any water to that
