.. but can you do it twice?
These may be my 2 most beautiful paintings to date..
Acrylic swipe technique over a travelling ring pour..which was a fail..
So.. you throw some more paint on it.. and swipe.. with shmears..
Cannot believe the details in these ornate gilded beauties..
I am in awe of the chemistry of paint..
I had multiple technical issues in this video..My apologies..
I have some focus issues..
I persisted.. and managed to get some really pretty outcomes....
Gilded 1..

I see people.. faces.. bodies.. eyes..

The colors 🧡 are astounding - as is the texture!
. . .love the life that is peering back at me - or maybe my imagination BUT I played again - not only saw the dog again - but also;
birds, horse, seahorse, snakes, owls, mini-school of fish, many partial faces/eyes peering through their “paint” surroundings, etc.
Yes.. the second one especially.. so many faces and figures..
i love both of these your use of colour is second to none the depth is also amazing the more you look the deeper you see

There’s such detail in each one, there aren’t enough words to describe and give each justice. You give us such encouragement to keep going...just look at the outcome! Absolutely stunning. I have neuropathy in my hands and swipes I've pressed too hard and cleared the paint off my canvas, lol. But I made one good one with similar colors and thank goodness my dear friend and her sister took it away before I did too much. I'm going to try this again. I love to try to make a beauty out of a fail. It doesn’t always work for me but more often than not, some of my most frustrating pieces take me on a wonderful journey of transformation! This piece turned out lovely❤️

Gorgeous. I love the colors. I see many faces. In the first one I saw peacock colors/feathers and part of a leopard. I love them both. 💕
I still can't believe what the paint will do to create such ornate designs
It's beautiful, but I would have like to see it as a whole. Saw lots of little things, 🦉 🐉 hidden grotto, a 🌉 🌁 among other things. As I whole from what I could see was a beautiful steep mountain side, with a glimpse of the water as it flows over the falls with the sun setting turning the mountain into gold. The color choice and swipe reminds me of Kathleen at Coz Creation. Love her work. Comment is long enough, you've done another "Fantastical" art piece. Stunning

Both are so rich...personally love #2 the most because it pulled up more of the underlying colors and gave it more depth. The wonderful music always adds to the tranquil feeling I get. Where do you find it?

I just finished up that batch of paints the last group I did and now have the makes more the same I love this I love the swiping in the movement in the dynamics of the colors. My add some of the treasure gold antique gold and Copper . Think these are my favorites too please tell me what the Music is it's Relax

Are the gold cells coming from the gold underneath your colours or from the gold poured over top to swipe with? I too would like to see your paintings as a whole.

Actually the paint that I used for the swipe was early sick like the base paints

It is Rustoleum Metallics accent. I got it at a chain hardware store.. it comes in a 2 cup jar. I mix it with 3 parts floetrol to 1 part paint..
I agree with Colour My World. I didn't get sense of Painting #2, You said they were your best work and what I saw i loved but no sense of Painting #2 did part of it stay all yellow and what part? just one side or both sides???
It's me again do you use basic Paper towels. 2nd one is so intense. Quiet beauty to it.
Yes.. the less expensive the better..
Do you use Golden Gac800 in your paints, to keep them from cracking?
No I don't and I don't have a problem with cracking
I have to ask, why did you leave the upper left corner unswiped and unschmered on Gilded 2? Perhaps a silly question, but you must have had something in mind. I love them both, just curious about the artistic decision.
I'm not even sure, sometimes you need a little unexpected something And that turned out to be it
Have you ever tried a swipe over an already dried pour? Did it work? Would you use a clear medium as well as some new wet paint to allow the under painting to shine through in some spots?
Gail both are gorgeous!!! I do have a question!! How do you get such cells galore? I can swipe with any color black anything and I get no cells!! Help please!!!! ❤
Michelle it really has to do with how juicy your paint is and putting enough paint on the canvas to begin with

If these were hung in a Doctor's Surgery, you wouldn't mind the usual half hour of waiting. You could stare at them for ever and still not see all there is to see. What looked like a mess, turned into mmasterpieces!
