I bought a 22 3500 CC insured for personal use. I wanted a flatbed, aisin, dual tanks, 4.10 gears. I'm 74k all in for a Laramie and aluminum flatbed. The H.O. 3500 would have cost me another 15-20k. I wanted a 5500 but insurance made it not worth it.
I'd like to see you guys show the difference between a 2500 and 3500... I know there is a difference. I'm just not sure what changes unless you get a dully truck besides coils to leaves
I bought a 22 5500 laramie and its our welding rig/daily driver. absolutely love it, V-belts videos were a strong deciding factor on that! Things business wise have changed though, going to an aluminium welding bed and our hauling requirements have changed significantly bringing us back into the payload realm of a 3500, making the 5500 a bit of an overkill daily driver, so debating the merit of going to a 2024 or 2025 - 3500 chassis cab limited or laramie. Debating weather the ride quality improvement and fuel mileage increase is worth the change over.
You'll get a little better ride quality out of a 3500, cheaper registration and possibly insurance too. But make sure you for sure don't need the weight capacity.
Plus the 19.5 on my 3500 ride so smooth.. my only regret was not doing it sooner. So much better than stock and any 20 22 24inch wheel setup. That stuff is a waste of money
I'm glad I went 3500 with the Asian transmission.. huge difference than the 68rfe. That's the most important thing you forgot to mention between the S/O and the H/O When it come to the 3500's. Which is why the high output is capable of Towing much heavier loads
I have an early 99 f350 regular cab long bed single wheel truck 6 speed 4x4 started life as a 7.3 powerstroke some1 change it to a 97 12v p pump Cummins I tow a 35 foot trailer 30k rating I tow a 308 cat with tons of attachments pulls as god as my new 2011 f350 6.7
I have two 5500, no reason to get a 4500 imo. Running 11,500 empty on both. Anyone looking for a factory PTO system, I’d like to remove one from my ‘15 5500

This is a chassis cab comparison. All c&c 3500's have the Aisin. The 68 is only in the pickups
