Thanks for the video. My 22 just spit out the snapping while 2000 KM from home. Now my truck is making an extended stay three provinces away just heard from the dealer today that the truck has a “internal transmission failure “
Hmmm...get rid of the backhoe in favor of a counterweight then add telescoping arms on the loader end with a hydrolic attach on the front. Then it could be something.
@thewrenchreviews9986 so basically a teleskid lol. This is an enteriely different machine for a different purpose. It is not a compact track loader. Lots of options if someone is looking for a CTL
Get-er done with the two 6 speeds and goosenecks 😎🤘🏻
I've owned an 89(still have it), bought a 93 and a 95 new, had an 01, 08 and 09, the latest is a 2016 2500. I've love every one of them. They have been great trucks.
What about the new diesel?
I'm going to be turning 16 in September of this year and I would love to drive stick shift. My uncle has a Ram and it's a stick shift. I've always dreamed of buying a manual transmission Ram truck.
I had to mow the yard, so I did that while the intro was playing. Finished up and still waited for it to finish.
The fact you came back and finished watching is what counts.
They got rid of the manuals because they want to force you to take your truck to them to have it worked on.
Good looking hat.
I just purchased a 2016 with a 6.7 and I’m worrying about the grid heater bolt problem, truck has 143k, should I be concerned, thank you
The crane truck is the one for the win for a real service truck. The others are really more dual purpose and are good for trailering and some work. Some service trucks have an air compressor that runs all the time and pressurizes the tool boxes to keep dust out. I wouldn't touch your red truck as it is too heavy for the purpose.
I love my 02. Makes enough power to be fun with big injector, no wastegate, timing box, boost fooler. Drives nice, gets good economy
What company built that head unit ? Interior looks great
If dodge came out with a manual transmission, i would trade my 2017 F350 without hesitation
Bobby you deserve thousands and thousands more subscribers. You put in a lot of time to make these videos. You make some good California farming content. I hope your channel grows and takes off.
I really appreciate it George. Thank you for your support
What a fun video! I loved it. It’s a good thing you have Bo to keep you on track. Loved seeing the crop plane.
I’m gonna be real these trucks are a piece of shit I should’ve got it Duramax
They aren't shit and the Chevy isn't better. If it was, dodge and ford wouldn't be able to sell a single truck. The brands are all the same
Fun video
Gen 2 got me into the Cummins game as well. I personally think the gen 4 is your best overall truck in looks power creature comforts ride etc.
👍🏻
I have 2 of the 8 different versions A 2001 24v 5.9 47re And a 2008 6.7 48re I'd love a stick, but I've had 3 left knee surgeries already and I'm only 36, so I'd like to still be able to walk when I'm 70.
And a 2001 5.2L Mexican RamCharger, but that doesn't really count for the Cummins part.
Looks amazing. A lot of work but really paid off. How many hours did it take?
About 20hrs
What Year and model would be best to pick for often trailer pulling if budget isn’t an issue. Doesn’t matter if it’s a dual or not.
If it's heavy the newer the better
Ok cool now I know how to plans almond trees!
2002 3500 dodge dually 6 speed manual ❤❤❤
Looks like an interesting machine, running a backhoe in an orchard can be tricky at times. Some backhoe “experts” get triggered when they see a modified orchard backhoe for some reason. Still remember seeing the first JCB at the farm show as a kid with my dad and hearing they it would go 40 mph. Now years later I am starting to see them pulling silage trailers and it would be on the list for a number of harvest jobs.
Yeah there is an outfit with a few 8330's pulling those 3 axle trailers running around. Not sure who it is though. Makes a lot of sense, no more truck reg, truck insurance, no DOT, and no class a required
Frank Borba Chopping and In-n-Out Ag Service run the 8330’s with the tri axle silage wagons.
I guess what comes around goes around. I remember back in late fifties and through the sixties Small crawler HighLift's with rear backhoe were common. Case, John Deere, and even Cat and Allis Chalmers had them as options. Then they disappeared. Nice unit, we have four JCB Tele-skids. TGP
Wow very interesting thanks
Backfeeding 12v into the reverse circuit of a pickup is a recipe for a voided warranty lol. All just to save the $3 for a diode?
Not to mention, using a single 14-16ga wire (that’s god knows how long) to “charge” a welding machine battery AND run a 12v fuel pump?? Just wonder what’ll burn up first
You dont understand how the 12v battery feed circuit works in a pickup. It's a fused circuit. That is all standard equipment regardless of what it's feeding, be it a hydraulic dovetail with a 12v hydraulic pump trailer. The wire will never burn because the fuse would pop first, assuming a direct short occurs. It's designed to be a slow charge, not a rapid charge like jumper cables
No, there is no issues feeding 12v back to a pair of 12v lightbulbs
Wow. So much bad info
Why do you think so?
Awesome video. After having several 2nd gens, I finally snagged my dream 3rd Gen. didn’t want to deal with the hassle of emissions so the old stuff lives on. The nostalgia is a huge factor lol
Those 20v dewalt chains saws are the nuts. How long do the batteries last? Longer than I do
97 4x4 nv4500 with 215 p pump swapped 01 HO 24 valve
Noticed no 89 90s, the ultimate best looking by far.
Looks great man! I just picked up an 08 6.7 Cummins 3rd gen today, love it but I cant stand the grey interior, so looking to go black. Your video is very helpful!
7 speed will be great. But also add a half gear that you can split like between each gear for taking off heavy or up steep inclines
And a lower reverse gear.
My experience with dudes who HATE the idea of towing with auto, either have no experience with modern trucks, OR are the ppl who REFUSE to use the tow/haul mode button or shift the auto manually with the buttons. They think it should be 1000% just stab the throttle and steer the wheel. Also most ppl I see blowing the auto trans are running NON oem tire sizes, power adders ect and again refuse to use the tow mode or manually shift.
I drive a big rig for a living and love my Ram 6.7 being auto. Only way I'd buy a manual pickup for my daily is IF it was setup Ike a big rig, meaning 1, it had a low enough 1st to get going just slowly releasing the clutch, aka a super low first that was ment for when loaded, and second if it was only semi synced like a rto meaning you can float shift if . If you are a rig driver you know exactly what I. Talking about and WHY these two aspects make shifting a Big rig all day vs a normal car/truck completely different
Good question I have, since I operate an emergency roadside assistance company, I want to know if these light bars have rubber grommets to create a water tight seal from the inside to outside of the vehicle? I only have a service vehicle and not a big truck, so I want to mount one of their lights to the roof of the vehicle.
No the wiring is on the installee. There's no electrical bulkhead
How’s your edge EZX on your ram coming along ?
Love it
I had two JCB’s ,3cx backhoe’s. They each lasted me 10 years around 12,000 hour’s only downfall his parts parts parts and service service service.
And Bobby, tell us why we should listen to you? You don't dress like you work for Stellantis.
Because when you know.... you know...
@@bobbyjfarms3681 If you think you "know" tell me what you know about the Cummins 6.7 liter gasoline engine.
@@55afishead nothing. I don't follow anything gasoline, not my scene.
@@bobbyjfarms3681 Thanks for replying. The project is called Octane. Keep an eye out for it.
I absolutely hate Dodge but I love Cummins. If ram paired the Cummins with a manual I'd buy it. That's the only way I'd buy a ram. 7 or 8 doesn't matter to me I drive a 10 speed mack so I'm used to changing a lot of gears. I would like to see a granny gear and double overdrive.
I have a 2020 3500 4x4 dually and I'm working on trying to figure out which Eaton transmission would be better matched with my 600hp/1450lb of torque.
I have had two Cummins with automatic both junk got a 03 with 6 speed and its a horse for towing. Just don't turn them up and they fine lol. I will not buy another unless it's a stick way to many people having issues with automatic one on you tube with 23000 miles
Great video I’ve own 2 gen and 3 gen
Not giving up my 56, till I see a new stick come out!
Your looking for a current time manual transmission, look at trucking with the 13/18 speed. The gear splitter is game changing when it comes to them. Take a 6 speed and add a gear splitter to it and now you have a 6-8-10-12 speed all in one and you can keep in powerband like an auto
That's an awesome trailer. Saw the "Photobucket" watermark, you have a build thread for that trailer?
If the truck is a diesel 4x4, you are hindering the truck with a manual transmission. Autos with brake boosting will get you out of the hole while a manual will keep you stuck. The heavier you are the more the auto does even better. I've done this even at 70,000#
