6 year relationship, we had 1 child together. The month I proposed and received a “ I don’t know “ I knew something was up. 1 week later I got given the ring back and we were broken up. 2 days later, she was in a rebound with the polar opposite of me ( extreme drug user ) and obvious downgrade. Been in limited contact since, co-parenting our child together.

If your ex maintain contact...or returns to contact...thats all you need...i lived it myself....and once you notice a sudden significant increase in contact..the rebound is done
He keeps in touch and definitely seemed jelous when I told him that I might have a date with someone else. His response was pretty much showing off the car he's getting. He's also sent a picture of his bird, that he knows I absolutely adored.

5. Connection between you & them getting stronger - CHECK

When he broke up with me, without a reasonable explanation, my ex said: "I will never give you closure". It sounded very weird, he said many weird things at that time... but that shows his confusion. Time heals.

I have a child with a dismissive avoidant and I doubt she's changed enough to be a good partner for anyone.
My ex maintains contact with me and talks about her dads passing a lot and she said she doesn’t know who she has and only trusts me and knows me and her understand eachother. She’s been with the rebound for nearly 3 months now.
Yeah Clay my ex is in a rebound relationship with another married man not to mention we have kids together but instead of texting me whatever is needed she’s always contacting via call or FaceTime (mostly FaceTime) when texting would be just as good and she tries to huge me also. And I can’t forget to mention that when we are around each other and he calls she never answers his call, she’ll just call him back after. She is playing with you my friend. Put your foot down and go into no contact. You are helping her to stay in the relief stage and helping her move on from you
My ex got into a rebound relationship sort of quick within the next three months after a break up and I noticed that she does things with him that me and her did.
From what I see is that she is really trying her best to try to make it work and that I know of she likes him and he’s sweet and put an effort.
She also basically told him the stuff I’ve put her through … She is in West vulnerable so it was easy for him to just take advantage of it

Ex maintains contact with me. Her dad revently passed away and she vents to me to talk as she said I’m the only one who understands her, she always asks if I’m over her or moved on. She also stalks my socials a lot and gets annoyed when she asks what I’m doing and I mention I’m seeing mates with girls. She kept her contact with me a secret and calls me often.
My wife of 6 years i was completely an 100 percent faithful to and gave two babies(a 2 and 4 year old after we married)left me a cpuple months ago when we were homesles..two days later on social media found out she rushed over to one of her "friends"hpuse to live with him..next day i see "in a relationship woth him on her social media and a couple days later all the sudden goes and picks up oir babies from her cousins house and moves them in with HER and HIM at what rhey call there homs..all on all i stoll talk to her an she says shes happier than shes EVER been and says ahe loves him etc..i was crushed and stol am but currently unsure i REALLY DO need to move on or continue to play it cool an try to slowly rebuild what we once had or if im already too late

Well I don't know if he's is in a rebound relationship. I do know that the woman he wants to divorce me over is an ex girlfriend from eighteen years ago. Try to listen to both positive and negative sides of the story and weigh things through critical thinking. Be open to various feedback and information from different parties. By that time, you can reach certain conclusion based on the information that you have gathered.
My ex had a choice. We could try again or be with the new girl. He choose her.Big bad sting. Is this considered a rebound? We were ti gether for 12 years. It was pretty good but things happened and then covid and we talked all the time.
My ex broke no contact on me 3 weeks after started. But it was weird. She called and said she heard I was "waiting on her" and that she felt people were treating me mean and started crying..... This threw me for a loop. I think she was trying to gauge where I was at for the call. The oddest part was she text me and scheduled a call one of the evenings she was free. And then did that. It really was odd. I handled it well in the beginning and then she got into stresses of the past and I got sucked in and shouldn't have. I ended the call eventually. And then apologized after the call for how it ended and wished her luck and happiness. I told her you are the one who contacted me not the other way around and then she apologized and felt stupid. So overall not the best call. She knows I still love her.

Then he said things to hurt me intentionally related to the girl. I did no contact because he betrayed my trust completely. We could have been friends if he respected me but he didn't. I asked for no contact and deleted him from social media. Now i'm wondering if i should have done that.

Hella weird that the ex of 9 years jumped into a new relationship within a month of of our break up and then 5 months later he is reaching out to me on a daily basis for three weeks. He complained about her and their situation to me during that time till he got caught. He then blocked me to satisfy her and swiftly got engaged to her. I’m currently also in a new relationship with someone that has a huge online presence. We got a lovely house together and car. I’m obviously doing well but again, long term ex contacting me till he got caught. Was he hoping we would’ve worked out but now he’s in survival mode because I never asked him back during our communication. I did tell him the break up sucks and I have no closure.

My case is kinda similar. It’s been 6 months since we broke up and I found out she started dating a new guy like 2 or 3 months after we broke up (when she was still 400 miles away from him for the next 2 months after they started dating). She and I have been texting again over the course of the last 10 days and it’s become very evident that she’s still very upset and bothered by what happened between us so obviously she didn’t take any time to heal and I don’t think she’s over me. She texts me after midnight a lot and often times she replies within a minute, even if it takes me 20 minutes to reply. She even admitted that she still wonders if we could’ve/would’ve worked out.

How about this one: when i told her that i know she is seeing someone new, she downplayed it and said iam not planning a relationship with him. His father died 3 weeks ago(which is not true, cause i am friends with his flatmate and iv been there the day he died which is 7 weeks ago)/ she then said she does not plan a relationship with him and that she wants to stay in contact. It sounds like your ex may still be feeling confused on what to do with her relationship and where to place you in her life. This is usually experienced during the Riding the Dragon Phase. From what I know about the situation, the rebound is totally unlike me. He monkey branched to her. She knows nothing about me, BTW. That's the point of the video. The rebound is a sham and not a factor in the equation. Rebounds are made to help ease through the breakup but almost always fail. It was a coping mechanism
My ex is in a rebound relationship from the off set. I have told him to focus on his current. I have totally stepped back said work on his gf Nd leave me be. He keeps popping up. I take days to reply and only talk generally like you would to an acquaintance. I don't want to be part of his drama . He made his choice it's not me Nd that is fine. No need to be a third wheel
