God damn, i dated a girl who got out of a 6 year relationship and was engaged. At first she promised me she didnt had any more feelings towards her ex and she showed signs of speeding the dating process, cried everytime i told her we should take things slowly. i ended up giving her the relationship because i thought our plans aligned soon after i felt i wasnt being nourished the same way i was pouring into her this led to alot of conflicts and i ended up walking away. but i felt used and emotionally abused all the time with the gaslight, took me 6 months to see for what it was and even pointed the facts to her which she showed me she didnt care about how i felt. Now im dealing with so much emotional turmoil within myself since i had to endure everything in the relationship and did so much to get her to a better place. We are not even friends anymore and im blocked which makes me think that everything was fake. i take full responsability for allowing this person into my life

She doesn't want to feel the grieve or maybe she lost feelings long before and was probably planing it(breakup) months before. My fiancé left me after 7 years, started dating again after 3 weeks. Had to tell me this, to make it "easier" for me to let her go, her words. Told me she has no time to grieve and wants to be happy and feeled loved again and if she sees a future with this guy, marry and have children(always her dream). After reflecting on my relationship, i have to be honest and say it was probably over a long time ago, before the actual breakup. Still i went to hell. Breakup became very nasty. But we had a lot of stress from my ex wife and kids but nothing that couldn't be worked out. She just gave up. We were tested. Went through a lot. She gave up. I didn't. I was willing to do therapy or anything. She wasn't. So I'm starting over at 48. Sucks. Hard to deal with knowing I'll never see her again, talk to her, hug her, kiss her... Ever again while on this earth. That she was able to just leave me and jump to the first guy and marry him. She settled. Plain and simple. They are still in the honeymoon phase. Making decisions without being actually tested. Huge gamble because this guy has never had healthy relationship. So they are rolling the dice.

My ex is in a rebound with another guy 2 weeks after our breakup of a 3 year relationship and it has been a little bit more than 4 months since their relationship started. And already they're apparently planning on things that me and my ex planned after being together for at least 1.5 years. The reason they stay longer is because the spark stays longer since they haven't met in real life they still have that spark of being together in real life, but when they do get together in real life it won't last long
