I installed the game again from the scratch and added all patches, EXACTLY as darkenedroom wrote in "MiG Alley: Running in Windows 10" article and now MA run 100%. Thanks again for all advice !!! And even map appear, when M key pressed.
Unable to install the game on WIN10, with setup.exe compatibility neither WIN95 nor WIN 98 compatibility. Installation always gets stuck on copying C:\windows\fonts\intel.ttf. It doesn't matter which drive C or D and it doesn't matter which folder.
After read from here - tales-from-darkenedroom , I made some progress and the game was installed with some patches, but it doesn't start - it requires some text file, but it doesn't say which one.
@@thejetfighter Have a look at my guide, that may help. You should be able to get the required BDG patch, and if you have any install issues there are some hints on resolving those (may involve task manager and analyzing wait chains). Sounds like you have it installed and patched and you're delving into the dx wrapping side of things. I ended up using ddrawcompat but I cover some other things as well (some in conjunction with ddrawcompat). What I haven't got around to trying is dxwrapper which I've been meaning to, so might be be worth a go. What text file does it say it needs as the roots.dir file may need editing?
@@darkenedroom I have followed all your recommendations and so far only screen with preferences work and I can choose single player, then hot shot mission, then appear fixed transition image with planes, then sounds from squadron team appear, but no change to the cockpit. Only when I press Alt-Tab I can see the cockpit in small window. Anyway tnx for all your hard work !
@@dovpauzner5093 It's a shame it's still not 100% sorted. I did create a PCem guide for MiG Alley as well which should work but it does mean you'll lose the TrackIR facility.
Ooh, i hope we get a Win10 install guide as well, this seem a real pain to get running
It is, at least on Windows 10 It works but not quite as I would like. That's why I haven't made a video about it.

Lets go! Been waiting for this moment!
Hope to make it work soon :-)
Damn good game glad I got it when i was young and oh you can win the Korean War if done correctly in the grand campaign.
Yes, great game indeed!
Under Windows 11 it works 😊
I've been having issues on Windows 10. I think I will have to upgrade to Windows 11 soon. Thanks for the tip :-D
@@thejetfighter no problem 😇
Any guide on how to make it work?
It works under Windows 10 as well 🙂
Did you install BDG patches ?
No I didn't :-/

I've been trying to make the game work on Windows 10 for a while, so far I've only been able to capture the intro video :-D
