Would love to see part two!! Do you sew in curtain rings?

No I don’t sew the rings. We put drapery hooks on the back which hook into the rings. I know that part is in one of my videos. I’ll find it and send you the link. I think it’s in the sheer video.

How do you tack them at the top? What is the depth of the pleats? And space in between? What header depth would you recommend for 30" length cafe curtains? Do you always use buckram

Hi Bonnie, I use a drapery tacker machine to tack the pleats. Before I got this special machine I stitched the tacks by hand which is difficult with some fabrics. A pair of needle nose pliers comes in handy. I almost always use buckram and 4” tall is most common, however I prefer 5” or 6” for very long drapery. For 30” cafe curtains I also like 4” but 2” or 3” also looks great. It really depends on the look you are going for. Smaller is more casual. If your fabric is thin enough you can try to stitch the pleats on your sewing machine with a very short back and forth stitch, or a zig zag stitch.
