Thank you so much for your tutorials! My mother used to make my draperies for me. She passed about a year a half ago. I wanted to honor her memory by continuing to make curtains for my home. I used her books and your tutorials to complete my first project. It has brought so much peace to my soul and the curtains turned out lovely. Thank you!
You are awesome! Thank you for showing me this easy method!!! I have four panels to pleat. I did the first one by just looking at the curtain I am replacing. 6 months later I still haven't finished because forming & sewing the pleats was so difficult. Now after watching your video, I am ready to finish the remaining 3 panels! Thank you!!!
This is so helpful and clear with the visuals too - thank you! I've sewn dresses and things but having first go at my curtains. I'm hoping to sew the Euro pleats - can you explain why you use the smaller width buckram? Would you maybe secure the pleats over the top of the pleat, or would you still have the stitching showing at the front at the top? Is there anything else different I might need to do? I'm finding it so hard to find a specific tutorial! Thank you very much!
I use 2" buckrum because you only need the stabilization of the buckrum at the top of the pleat when creating euro pleats. I would secure the pleats over the top using the same method I used for the pinch pleats. Good luck!
If you did a double pinch pleat, rather than a triple, would you still use the same amount of fabric, in your case the 5-7/8", or would you use less fabric per pleat and have an additional pleat per panel? I'm asking, because I want to do double pinch pleats. Thanks.
I hope you find this tutorial helpful. Happy sewing!

Thank you for making this video. My mom worked as a seamstress to make draperies. I would like to try to make some with her fabrics.

Yes, I would use the same amount of fabric in each pleat. Thanks for watching!
