I don’t think I’ve ever loved anyone more! Omg! ❤ I’ve got to try that. If the drapes had a liner, one could basically follow this too? Big savings for sure! 👍

Beautiful, love ❤️ the fabric, I think pinch pleat curtains look much more expensive

Thank you for sharing this. I’m at the exact same point- >1K for linen pinch pleats for our bay windows. This is a great help!

Yes, they can be a huge investment. My new home will need 14 ft long curtains....so I will make those too...can't imagine how costly they'd be to have custom made.

    Beautifully done!
Sewing tip-pin vertical across the seam (not parallel ) with the pin head towards your dominant hand and long enough for head to be clear of presser foot if you sew over it. Makes it easier to remove pins as you’re sewing and if you sew over the pin accidentally, it’s less of a problem. I’m going to try pleated drop cloth and see what happens!

The seam down the middle is my biggest worry too, so I'm glad you mentioned that!

I chose to seam the panels to save on fabric costs....but you could order wider fabric and avoid the seam if you want. They aren't noticeable so that option worked for me:)

great video very informative i just have two questions, why do you have to wash the fabric first? and why did you count along 5 spaces when inserting the hooks

Hi there! What type of hooks did you use to hang your curtains?

One question: You start one hook over or so and start pleasting, then move over and start again on the 5th slot/pleat hole. What about the end? What if you put your second to last hook in, and don't have 5 spaces to count over and 4 more for the hooks? What if you're short spaces on the ends? Thanks!

If you count the slits on your tape after its sewn onto your curtain panel, you could then do the math to decide how many slits to skip per pleat. If you want to do skip 5 and have and only have four left, I would just add an extra hook to the end and tuck the corner over after its hung, It shouldn't be noticeable:) Hope that helps!
