There is a water crisis, the pronghorn are being rounded up and removed to make room for more developers. All the grassy hills are slated for development and they want to make Prescott, Prescott valley and Chino Valley into one giant Mega city that will be the biggest in North Arizona. There is great difficulty finding doctors and the traffic sucks. I know because I live here.
I think that’s a good idea to make it a big metropolitan area. Not enough stuff here.

I don’t think it’s some people. Pretty much everyone here calls the town by its name, “presskitt.” Just like Traverse (TRA-verse) City, MI and Santa Fe (fee), TN, they’re not pronounced according to their spelling.
Definitely like the Prescott Valley area better cause it’s not so empty like Cottonwood area. Also like you said we have a stadium.
One website says "Preskitt" has avg. 120 days/yr where temp drops below freezing (32 F)...does that sound right?
I'm looking for a lot where I can park my RV a week at a time several times per year. Then I would start building or adding a small home of some kind. It could be as small as a "Park Model" (399sqft) or as big as a 1200sqft modular home or cabin of some guy. Every time I look for a lot it's either on a cliff or in a dry wash. Is there any lots for sell that actually has a few trees on it and somewhat level and no HOA? Prescott B=Velly area or Camp verde area.
This is common request but very difficult to find something that will qualify either because of zoning restrictions or HOA rules. You might have to go as far out asAshfork to find something, and that will be way out of town with no utilities.
Thanks for the information Dawn and I am sorry you got some nut calling you at 1:30 a.m. to try to get you to say Prescott properly. I understand you are under a lot of pressure because your mother is in hospice and because you have an adult son with a disability so I will be contacting you probably in the fall depending on how my plans to move there go.

Last week when I went to see my mother she was asking where my dad was, and I had to explain how he's been dead for 19 years. Then she started crying like it was the first time she heard it! Then the nurse came and she forgot the entire conversation, but for me it was like I was transported back in time to when I first realized my dad had died and I had to relive the experience all over again.
@@livinginnorthernaz Turns out that I had a talk with a friend who lived in Cottonwood for six years and who still has friends who live there so she gave me their contact info so I probably wont need your help. Very sorry that you had that experience but the very few times I have experienced a friend who had a family member in hospice they experienced pretty much the same thing. Fortunately my wonderful mother is 95 and still fully coherent and living independently and her only problem is that she is almost completely deaf so we communicate by text or I call her on her home phone which has a digital readout. She always tells me she loves to hear my voice.
Here in Chino Valley, owners of property of 25 acres are going to put a mine in a neighborhood.

My sister used to live in Anthem! When my kids were small we would take them to that cool water park and have hours of fun. It was a nice place, and because its on the north side of town you can get away to Prescott/Sedona/Flagstaff pretty easily
Prescott is pronounced like “triscuit”
