Appreciate your work here Scott! I actually just got a 7 inch monitor but not taken it out yet but love the wireless idea! Thanks Scott - well-delivered video :) Subscribed

I'm on the same wavelength, that monitor looks awesome!! I just upgraded my cheap 5" monitor to a cheap 2000nit 7" monitor and it was a game-changer. I have it mounted on camera so it's a bit big but not as bad as I thought it might be. Every now and then I'd end up with a soft clip here and there with my 5" but with this, I nail every shot, it's been great!!
I wish that mine had the speaker that the Osee has, there have been numerous times that I went to show the client their footage and would have been nice to have had audio with it.
I'll be upgrading this monitor in the future to one that's better quality, but for now, this does the job.
Loved this video, especially seeing your wireless system in action, that's so freaking cool!

Thanks for watching! Jumping up to the 7" sure does make a difference for nailing focus. And yeah, the wireless monitor is so sweet for certain circumstances, more gear to deal with but amazing when needed. Glad to hear your kit is getting the job done though!

Great video, Scott. As always! If I didn't already have my Lilliput A7s 7" monitor that I'm fairly happy with, I'd probably give this one a go. However, it doesn't seem to have DC out? I love the idea of only carrying NP-F batteries and supplying power through a dummy for my GH5, which works perfectly on my smaller 5" Feelworld Master MA5.

Hey, thanks for watching. You are correct, no DC out. There are definitely advantages to that solution, however, in the end I think I'm partial to DC input as I often switch between having the monitor mounted on my camera, to mounted on the side of my gimbal, to wireless when the gimbal is on a cable cam. Powering the monitor one it's own works best for me with this situation. Either way, you can't beat the size bump from a 5 inch monitor!

What's the battery life on a single battery high brightness?

    • @ScottBell

Thanks for watching. It would completely depend on the battery size. I think with a medium-larger battery I got 2 hours or so but honestly can't remember.

2 questions: if you turn down volume or turn off the speaker, does it stay off even after powering monitor on/off? I have no use for sound ever so I would just leave it off if I could. 2. How is the battery life? I have a Ninja V which I think is absolutely horrendous even when using as a monitor only as far as battery life.

Hey, yes once you turn it off it stays off permanently. Battery life seems decent, I haven't put it through the paces enough to say exactly how much time you get out of a battery and it would depend on your brightness level. I would say it's comparable to my Atomos Shinobi. But honestly I find myself using the Shinobi more often due to its compact size and needing to minimize bulk as much as possible.

Great review but not using false colour is a complete and utter shocker! It’s the best tool for exposure and please try it for a while you won’t go back dude

Thanks for watching. To each their own. I use false color built into my camera sometimes but for my purposes a waveform does what I need for most projects.
