Bro, for quite some time now I've been browsing for a monitor but I never pulled the trigger on any of them. My money always went towards other pieces of equipment . I rarely comment on UA-cam but today I got this monitor from amazon and I just wanted to thank you for this video and for everything else that you're doing on your channel, for that matter. God bless you! ✌️ Thanks!

Ah, you should have released the mega monitor comparison in time for Black Friday! I'll probably buy a monitor on Friday, and then regret the purchase when you release your video.
I have been checking for this monitor to be in stock since this video was posted. Finally in stock tonight! (Probably won’t last long because of your video though.). Thank you!!!!
I was on the fence about buying this monitor because the price seemed too cheap for what it stated it offered. Thanks for easing my mind and making my choice easier. Ordered and used your link!
Truth. It's a bit more expensive (taxes), but it's amazing compared to the competition. I've been waiting for mine for over two weeks. This is how the post office works in Denmark.😤
I had one of these for a brief period because I’m not really a video guy so I never cared to get a monitor, but at this price it was worth trying. Ultimately I got rid of it and just stuck with the flippy screen on my canon R6… I’ve since “downgraded” from the R6 to a few older DSLRs that I just prefer the feeling of using, and I wish I had kept the Osee so I could get a more streamlined workflow from my 5Diii and 6D. I think this little monitor is almost in the same camp as a plastic 50mm F1.8 in that it’s cheap enough and useful enough that it’s just always worth owning one. Even if you don’t need it today you might tomorrow and you’re not melting away any equity having one sit on the shelf. Buying one again, keeping it forever, needing it only sometimes.
I'm looking forward to the coming monitor video. I just bought an X-T3 so a monitor is something I'm definitely starting to research for now. This one looks very promising.
1000% I used my XT3 quite a bit without a monitor, and the difference a monitor makes to shooting (even if it’s a boring corporate video) is amazing (especially if you’re using log)
OSEE is great. They sent one of their 21.5" production monitors and it's a beast. this is a great budget monitor! I can't wait until we see some of these smaller budget companies start making external recorders.
I am already considering the Osee T7 monitor, and then here's this review. Since I am always looking to save a few bucks while getting the most bang for my bucks I figured the 5 incher could save me a few dollars without sacrificing more than I am willing to. However, the T7 has 3,000 nits, which was got me interested in it at first, and then there is the difference in screen size. If it was screen size only I would change my mind and move to the 5 incher to save money, but I do shoot in bright sunlight and I don't want to sacrifice the nits, and have to crane my neck to see around the hood of the 5 incher. That being said, this 5 incher is an absolutely amazing product at this price point. And as always, amazing review.
Oddly enough, I’m currently watching tons of field monitor reviews and then you came up with this video. Thanks for letting us know about this one as well.
Feelworld F5 Pro user here. I just got it 2 months ago and it's my first monitor so I can't compare on experience. It certainly is practical and in the same price range as the reviewed Osee T5. At these prices I think it is a great incentive for anyone to get into using. Mostly I wanted to save my eyes from distinguishing the dozens of status icons on my Sony AX-700's built in screen. (Makes your rig look more impressive to casual observers too , LOL).
I have this style of monitor from Swit but 7 inch and 3000nits of brightness with joystick like this one has and maaaaan I love that interface….so quick to use….love it.
I remember buying a 7" smallHD monitor for $600. Given all the smartphones out there with similar sized nice screens, you know most of the physical components are out there for cheap. It has usually been the software/firmware feature set that has driven the price.
Thanks mate, added to my wishlist, I mainly film hobby stuff in my room and run a mini HDMI cable to the tv just so I can see focus and composition better. This will help out since it is cheap ^_^
Thanks for the tip, I’m going to use your link to scoop one of these. I usually don’t prefer “cheaper” options, as longevity tends to be an issue, but I need another monitor bad right now and this price point with its features seems like an easy buy.
Looking forward to your monitor comparisson video and really hoping you mention which monitors correctly interpret the levels from the camera as 0-255 or 16-235 depending on the camera output. Unfortunately the Atomos Shinobi interprets all signals as 16-235, causing the highlight and shadows to clip. This is particularly annoying when loading a custom S-Log3 conversion LUT (the inbuilt conversion doesn't look good at all) as it doesn't give an accurate representation of what the final video will look like. (This was an issue that was fixed after many user complaints with the Ninja, however it seems they never made the same fix/toggle option for the Shinobi) I tried to solve this issue by converting my LUTs in Resolve first with a Node before them to compress full levels to 16-235 and reexporting these, but unfortunately it doesn't fix the issue. It would be amazing to know which monitors correctly display 0-255 levels, particularly when using LUTs, as I will be returning the Shinobi for something else.
Did you ever find out what monitors can do this? I’ve had the same issue and no one has any info on it, it’s driving me nuts! So much money wasted. Would be amazing if anyone had more info!
Ive never used a NPF battery.. any suggestions on some good brands on amazon that would be safe to use?.. is the larger numbers mean just bigger battery? thanks in advanced! :)
Is this a re-brander SWIT CM-55C ? Looks identical to the one I own. This is most likely the best bang for buck monitor you can buy. I bought it mainly for the micro-usb charging port. I power up my BMPCC4K with an Anker 26800 battery bank and the monitor through micro usb. The setup works with 2x battery bank as well, which gives more hours to operate. With one battery bank it takes around 4 hours before the camera dies.
@@dslrvideoshooter are you sure SWIT isn’t just a rebrand of an OEM product? If I google OSEE products I get local ad results for SWIT, and American search results. There’s probably an oem where everyone buys it and rebrands it….
