  • In this video I check out the T7 full HD on-camera monitor from Osee. It has an insanely bright screen (3000 nits!) plus a huge array of professional focus and exposure tools such as waveform, histogram, focus peaking, built in LUTs, focus assist and loads more. The quality is off the scale for a monitor of this price, check it out guys

    I've sed some years ago and need to say it again. Your videos has a high value on information and quality. You deserve a lot more followers and appreciation in my opinion. Thanks Harv, because i'm looking for a monitor it was helpful for me. Cheers

    This might be a weird comment, but I watched this with the sound off because I was listening to a podcast, killing some time, waiting for a render. Anyway, just watching the visuals, I was able to follow the theme and the points of the video perfectly well. The B-Roll and the graphics were well placed, paced, and enhanced the point of the video. Also, your visuals are so crisp and clear. Point being, this is a visual medium and you nailed it (also, I'll watch again with the sound on)

    Recently rediscovered your UA-cam videos and subscribed!
    Question please-
    Are the exposure tools (waveform, false color) before or after a monitor applied LUT?
    In other words- Does turning on a LUT (on the monitor) change/effect the exposure tools readouts?
    Great content, sir!

    Thanks for the the informative video.
    One question from me, how do you monitor audio through the monitor?
    I can't hear any audio from the speaker or headphones.

    Small rig stuff is awesome.
    I wish you would've shown us the screen outdoors and see how it looks. That's what I need it for is outdoors in the sun

    Harv, have you experienced any issues getting your image to match? Both my shadows/darker areas are too contrasted (no matter what LUT, built in LUT, etc method I use) and the main issue is the highlights blow out of detail way before the actual video file blows highlight details out. Almost as if the monitor can't handle the dynamic range?

    • @HarvVideoAudioStuff
      @HarvVideoAudioStuff  2 роки тому +1

      Actually yes, I’ve noticed this using the in-built slog3 lut. I always find I have to remind myself that my recorded images will have a little less contrast. I wonder if it’s related to the extremely high nit rating of the T7 🤔
      In a way I kinda like it, it’s quite reassuring that if it looks good on the monitor then I’ll like it even more when grading 😅

    • @richardnayfilms2812
      @richardnayfilms2812 2 роки тому +1

      @@HarvVideoAudioStuff The contrast isn’t so much of a deal for me as it is the highlights just being visually blown out like crazy. It kinda tricks your mind into under exposing when you’re just run-n-gunning. I wish I could figure it out 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Ah I see, tbh I’ve always got one eye on the waveform. Can’t go wrong 😉

    I have this monitor and overall it's very good for the price, probably the best. But as a UA-camr there is one basic feature that is missing with this monitor. That feature is the ability to flip the image HORIZONTALLY. There is an option to flip the image VERTICALLY, but not HORIZONTALLY. So basically when I film myself with this monitor the image is flipped horizontally which makes it super annoying to use.
    OSEE might release a firmware update to add this feature, but as far as I know OSEE hasn't released any firmware updates since the release of this monitor...

      Looking to get this monitor. The screen is horizontal, so do you mean that the image can't be flipped vertically? Asking because I want to use this for photography, as I take most of my photos in portrait mode.
