Lucky enough to have seen Scott live 5 time with STP and was never let down. Just like so many other he is miss so much. Hope he's found the peace he was unable to find in life now, RIP.

I don't think it's Strange, i think it's only the music style Who does It like that, grunge is really a melancolic style of music. I wasn't There in this period (i'm born in 1997) and It still feel to me to be fill with a lot of nostalgia.

Check him out with the remaining members of The Doors singing like Jim Morrison. Crushed it. Only guy that could cover him, which you wouldn't think till you hear it. He could basically sing anything and mimic alot of artists if he stepped in. Bowie, Morrison, etc. I'm not suprised he has good technique here. I always assumed he did and he was more of a technical singer imo. Which is how he pulled off all those mimics when stepping on for bands.

Contrary to these associations though, song is in part about a bad relationship that Weiland was in and a high profile murder in the San Diego area, IIRC. The lines "When the dogs do find her / Got time to wait for tomorrow / to find it, to find it" and "Where you going to with the mask I found?" are references to the murders, with the lines about the dogs being police body sniffing dogs, the part about having time to wait because the girl was dead, and the mask being a funeral mask (which is most likely just a figurative piece). I didn't know any of the history behind this song, but I was kind of surprised when she it made her think of a beautiful summer day. I was like, isn't this a sad song? I always felt like how he sings the words almost comes out like how someone consoles themselves when they're in grief. At the very least, it always sounded contemplative to me.

My favorite band of all time... STP has barely more than a handful of albums, but I think I have about 90 STP and STP related CD's. One of the best bands of all time. Someone should have suggested that Beth looks at the VH1 Storytellers performance of Kitchenware & Candybars....
