I found the 2 pins going to the ice maker's heating element temp sensor badly corroded. Clean up the best I could, still got temp sensor faults and no ice. Sensor is out at 28k ohms when bench testing at room temp. Seems wrong, but I don't know for sure. You have any specs for this by chance? Thanks!
Do you have a suggestion on the settings for the harvest temperature code and the ice room code to help keep it from freezing up but harvests ice at a decent rate?
I don’t have any error codes, and I can see the faint red sensor light, but my upper tray is completely covered in frost (and no ice being made). Any ideas what this issue might be and how I can troubleshoot? Thanks for the great vids!
What if I don’t have a red beam? Thanks for the tutorial!
good question
He doesn't say if the beam should be there or shouldn't be there for normal operation. Is the red light an error? Or normal operation?
I also don't have a red beam, and I believe it should be there. What should I do?
I don’t even see the red beam in the picture on his phone
Yep, I see the LED but the light is not on
What to do if the optical sensor or red beam is not working? Is there a way to fix the red beam on the auger motor.
LG RF27T5201 has dual icemakers. My upper (refrigerator) icemaker is fine. The lower (freezer) icemaker doesn’t work. No help from the user Manuel aside from hitting the reset button. There is ice in the icemaker - but it doesn’t drop. Any help?
My light isn’t on. What does that mean?
I received a 14C error code which is the fridge ice maker sensor. Which is part of the auger motor assembly. It was saying the ice was full, when there wasn’t any ice. We replaced the auger motor assembly with the new fridge ice maker sensor, but we are still not seeing a red light on, even with the new part. Can you please help with this? Thank you!
My ice maker is super slow at making ice. Anyway to fix that?
What if we dont have a red light
My Samsung has one door and the ice maker is inside the freezer not on the door
Great info!
Glad it was helpful!
