Handel: Solomon at Bath Abbey

A Bath Recitals' Production of Handel's 'Solomon' on Saturday 22nd April 2023 at Bath Abbey. The first professional performance of 'Solomon' in Bath since Handel's day.
A Coronation Concert for the City of Bath to mark the anointing of King Charles III on the site where the first King of all England, King Edgar was crowned in 973.
The Georgian Festival Chorale and St Woolos Sinfonia assembled in a day to rehearse and perform one of Handel's greatest oratorios under the baton of Artistic Director - Daniel Robert Cushing.

So stunning! One feels they are there! So happy to subscribe to these concerts. There is nothing that matches such an experience as listening to glorious music in such spaces. Eveything becomes a three-dimensional, emotional experience. The great abbeys and cathedrals create not only space for the music, singers, and instrumentalists to soar, but it also has an unmatched intimacy of attention. I hope I can experience it in person one day. Thank you to all who bring such beauty to us.
