In another note the orchestra sounds amazing, and the soprano? she IS the star, just perfection.
The "dress" is a cassock. He's "jumping around" because he is leading the group. Oh, and btw, the soprano is male, a counter-tenor. Some of the ensemble and soloists were pretty animated, as I would be if I was performing in the Versailles Hall of Mirrors.
If I were a tourist, visiting Planet Earth...and was introduced to THIS, I would -pronto!- decide to stay!

Asombra Samuel Mariño, con esa aria tan difícil, por la velocidad, y los saltos de séptima y octava, y lo hace tan magníficamente, y con una engañosa y aparente facilidad, pues se trata de una ejecución que requiere mucho trabajo. Es una lección y un ejemplo de excelencia y maestría.

Virtuosa y prodigiosa pianista, compositora, genia con sus improvisasiones de diversos compositores sin necesidad de "amistades" con políticos mandatarios de turno para llegar donde está. Digna de estar de estar en el mismo sitial de Teresa Carreño, Clara Schumann y Fanny Mendelssohn.

Absolute beauty in these voices and orchestra. I am a classical pianist, and know less about these performers than pianists, but will research, because their voices were sublime. I am blessed to have stumbled upon this 😊
The counterpoints, melodies being left by one voice, picked up by another is stunning. You have to have a mathematical mind to attempt such complex baroque music. Music, mathematics and creative genius all together; heaven is on earth.

Valer Sabadus ha interpretato ed eseguito Crude furie con un’intensità e bravura indimenticabili…la Galleria degli specchi è lo scenario perfetto per un’esecuzione confezionata con cura e i tre contro tenori, accompagnati dal carismatico Stefan Plewniak, hanno raggiunto e messo radici nel cuore di una profana di musica barocca!

Buenas, sin ánimos de contradecir, pero debo aclarar que Samuel No está castrado....su laringe no bajo en la adolescencia y por eso conservo la voz de mujer..

Maybe, maybe not, our anthropocene effort has matured to its point of rendering us dust in the wind (if there will be wind), but till then, give music, not the music that has sided with the anthropogenic effort, but music like this, that soars above all the damage we've done.

It’s a beautiful concert with three extraordinary voices in a sublime setting, but the best voice is Samuel Mariño’s. His voice has a purity of sound. In my opinion I compare the three voices like flowing rivers, each flowing freely, but, Mariño’s flows from the alps, over fields, valleys and meadows, without an obstacle or impediments, as it flows to the sea. The other two, have a dam somewhere up the river. Regrettably, I am not sophisticated or trained enough to know where the dam is located. In addition to having a voice that flows like an Alpine river, he is a showman. BRAVO 👏! All three and the musical ensamble 🎉hit it out of the chateau!❤

Waoo los grandes maestros del barroco como Handel, Vivaldi y del clasicismo como Mozart hubieran quedado admirados de escuchar estos portentos de talentos vocales masculinos. Ellos compusieron muchas de sus obras vocales para voces masculinas que tuvieran el registro agudo femenino. Impresionante!!!
A concert of extremes! And that perhaps is the key to its final imperfection. Letting the tempo reduce to lento did no favours to the earlier arias, yet I have never heard the Monteverdi duet sound so exquisitely beautiful, with the vigorous central passages saving it from overkill. The Purcell, likewise, I have never heard with greater exhilaration. On a minor note, the excessive arm waving began to look like affectation rather than an excess of emotion, but that is a petty cavill.
Bravo! Glorious music making in every sense. It’s lovely to see the musicians enjoying themselves so much. The word “playing” used to describe the act of making music is the perfect word to express what we musicians do.
