I think it depends on the car itself. The rule of thumb is if you use a higher Ron number, you'll get cless engine knock at high rpms which means you can protect the engine from wear better with higher Ron numbers if your car is capable of driving fast. Normal road cars will only have slight differences in peak HP and Torque swapping Ron 95 to Ron 100, if you're driving at low RPMs there will be no difference. However if you're driving say a GT-R and you're driving on highways all the time, then yes the Ron 100 will give a performance boost.

Fundementally if cost effectiveness is what you're looking for.. Then 95 is definitely more efficient... If raw power is what you're looking for.. Then 100 it is!!

Sy guna ron97 utk setiap hari. Ron97 n ron100 bukan guna utk bawak laju.
Sy guna manual, so bila nk drive, tak perlu byk tekan minyak utk gerak, rpm pun tak naik tinggi.cepat utk tukar gear dan enjin rasa lebih smooth.

It depends, which means it is depending on an engine's fuel injection, compression ratio, carbon buildup, and other factors concerning the engine's ability to "retune" itself to higher octane fuels using its knock sensor module. Some engines can perform better with both Vpower Racing and RON 100, while others might not be having the much awaited hp and torque boosts using either one of them.

I use Blaze100 once every 3-4 months as maintenance fuel to clean the engine. Do I feel power difference? Probably not. But my car engine do feel a bit more responsive after one tank and it continues after I return to cheaper fuel. So I guess in some way it does have some benefits.

I've tried using Petron Blaze 100 on my manual-equipped Saga FLX (the one with CamPro IAFM engine, not VVT) occasionally for more than a year, and there was once I use the RON 100 for more than a month just to satisfy my curiosity over premium petrol.
For sure, no real dyno test like the one in this video, but I did feel a more positive difference with my Campro IAFM engine after frequent fill up with RON 100: low-speed city and suburban driving in 5th gear is more relaxing and has less vibration, engine is less stressful when driving up hilly roads in lower gears & driving out of steep junctions.

If your BMW is using direct-injected fuel system, using a fuel that is above RON 97 (red pump Shell and Petron RON 100) still has more benefits to the high-compression engine, although you have to put aside plenty of money if you're planning to try out these premium petrols more frequently instead of just "isi sekali sekala" or filling up with premium petrols just once in your lifetime.

could also mean, the engine has higher compression ratio, thus the ECU is able to advance the ignition timing when using the less-prone-to-prematurely-ignite fuel, such as ron 100.
basically, engine best tuned for RON100 will outperform engine best tuned for RON95 anyday.

  • @jampiserapah
    @jampiserapah 4 роки тому +1

The price jump is about 50+% increase from RON95 while the performance increase is only around under 10%. Economically, it's not the most practical efficiency. But what you do get with RON 100 aside from the performance (that is if your vehicle obtains it) is the ability to clean your combustion chamber better than the other fuels. Besides that, RON 100 burns better than the others so less carbon in your combustion chamber which is great! In the long run that has to be worth it. Many people recommend to use higher RON when you're travelling long distance and use lower RON for everyday usage as a routine to clean your engine and at the same time to able to save some money. I personally use RON 100 during the first 2 weeks of the month and fill up on RON 95 for the rest of the month. But right now I'm filling up on RON 100 for a full month to really clean the engine as it is an old motorcycle.

Empty your tank and pump RON 100 I guarantee you can feel the power up compare to RON 95 and 97, the first thing you will release is the throttle response is much better. Shell V Power Racing has similar effect. If pump RON95 the best fuel is Caltex and BHP. Petronas and Petron is not bad. For Shell the good one is V Power Racing and V Power RON 97, it is absolutely rubbish for RON 95 as I have used it for 200k km (company subsidy).
      RON 95
Petron - power good, engine noise average, mileage average or poor.
Caltex - power good, engine noise silent, mileage average
BHP - power average, engine noise silent, mileage good
Petronas - power average, engine noise average, mileage average.
Shell - power poor, engine noise high, mileage good.
I have few cars, other cars mostly use Caltex (BHP is good but not found in my housing area).
